Wow - another thread.
Dansta: How annoying about blood test stuff! Ah well, it doesn't matter too much I suppose - you know you're UTD! Yay! So exciting!
PJ: The pool was lots of fun, thanks for asking . Oliver seemed to enjoy himself. I did dip his face in the water once, which he wasn't very impressed about - but we'll get there. The mum who invited me goes every Friday, so I think I will go with her every Friday morning to the pool. The mum knows a person who works at the pool and said that swimming lessons aren't really worth it until they're 12 months, as before then all they do is really get the babies used to the water - which you can do without lessons .
AFM: I managed to get some video of Oliver crawling, so for those of you on FB, you can check it out .

HEllo BB's!
Ok, so I lied and didn't update that night..I will try and update you on the last month...its just been insane really...next time we move, it will be for 20 years!
The move did not go smoothly as the lift in our building broke the night before we moved and we ended up paying 900 bucks, which is DOUBLE than we should have paid for as the guys had to do everything via the stairwell. the lift repairer showed up as the last load went in the truck, we were so ****ed off. To top it all off, I tore some disc in my back which put me out of action for nearly 2 weeks, DH had to call in sick on the Monday as I could not walk, or pick up Sammy and had to take me to the osteo to get me functioning. It is now starting to get better but is not 100% yet.. All I can say is that moving with an 8 month old, crawling and getting into EVERYTHING when you have a hard time moving yourself was not exactly fun.. the osteo said to me, try to take it easy...I just laughed.. so poor Dh got stuck doing most of the move by himself
Other than that though, the new house is fabulous and it is SO nice to have all the extra space. The 'hood is nice too, although not the beaches, but people are very friendly and am hoping I can meet some new mums soon. I am going to ring the ECC to see if they can hook me up with a MG, just have not had the chance to do so but am ready to get out of the house as we are pretty much settled in. Sammy is just amazing, she is crawling very fast, standing on the furniture, in her cot, on her highchair and I give her another month and she should be walking, no joke. She says da.da.da. to DH and is starting to really recognise people which is awesome. I just love watching her develop into a cute little person.
Won't attempt the personals just yet as I am not yet done reading the last thread but Dansta gets a special mention , WOW< Congrats sweetie!! Can't believe you're pg again! I am kinda semi envious but at the same time, kinda not...but I know that YOU have been wanting this and thats what's important, so BIG CONGRATS and hope it all goes smoothly for you.
I promise to be on here more often now that things have settled down. Will be nice to catch up with everyone again on a more regular basis.
Mxx

Moose: Yay, you're back again! Great to see you about
Wow - sounds like you have been busy!!! Your moving house sounds like it was awful! Talk about bad luck! Ouch about your back - glad it's starting to feel better now .
Sammy sounds like such a clever cookie!!! Crawling so fast, almost walking, saying dadada!!!
Hope life starts to calm down a bit for you now.
How has everyone been enjoying their weekend?
AFM: Well, suddenly Oliver is doing all these new things. Started crawling Friday and already has crawled the length of our hallway (decent way!), seems to have perfected lifting himself to standing, clapped for the first time yesterday and has started up babbling again... going 'bababa' and making 'p' noises but only in a whisper for some reason. I can't believe how quickly this all happens! It is truly and utterly amazing, yet it happens every day!
My DH did his motorbike learners course this weekend, so will do the computer test tomorrow - then he'll be on his L's. Good for him, but now the non-stop worrying starts for me .
Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Hey Girls,
How are you all? How was everyones weekend?
We had an AWESOME time in Melbourne, it was so nice to have a break from the domestic duties and to get out and about and actually do things! Winter was such a trooper the whole time(considering she was constantly in her pram) and slept for most of both the plane rides, including sleeping through both landings! Unbelievable! We ate lots of delish food, and suprisingly came home with money to spare which is a good thing.
Just a quick one this time, will be back later on for personals. Hope everyone is well

Peach: YAY sounds like summer was a good little girl for you! and how fantastic is Melbourne food!glad you had a good time
AFM: interesting weekend. FIL came over for dinner saterday and was 2hrs late (after a flat tyer and DH going over to FILs house LOOKING for him!) sunday i went and saw a friend, whilest DH went and saw his mate, whoes DP (i think she is?) had their baby at 25weeks. (the little girl is in the ICN) and then MIL and FIL rocked up - once i got home to give us a couch a friend of theirs was getting rid of (almost bran spanking new too!) DH got home and we crashed out...all whilest DJ starts teething) then today. weeeeeeeeeell i was going to hand in my letter of resignation. the boss wasnt there so i have to go back in tomorrow! i was with my mum and sister, but my sister headed off after we had lunch so mum thinks it'll be a good idea to "go shopping for a wedding outfit" uhuh. yeah. everything she picked i hated! everything i picked was too small (since when dose target size 18 = less then a 16?!?!) ended up in "big city chick" and bought a top and a small cardigen (belaio? or something) now i just need a skit (mum thinks she may have one i can borrow) but Ugh. so over it. she was pushing the pram and every time i went to she was like "no im pushing it" ...Djs my son, if i wanna push the pram i will! (one women asked her if it was her baby stupid women copped the death stare from me! but other then that. its all good here. get my blood test back tomorrow FINALY!!?! then im comming home an a) telling you all how far along i am and B) calling the hospital to book in! hehe SOO excited! I better go clean up!
hope every one is having a good day!

Hello everyone,
We've all been quiet these last few days haven't we..I just don't seem to have any time for computer at the mo, Sammy is taking all of my energy and then some! Sheesh, she just doesn't stop for one second, but I guess I'd rather have an over inquisitive baby that one thats not interested in anything...Anyway, I didn't come on here to talk about me but to catch up on personals!
Yvette: You poor thing, what an ordeal you have just been through..I just hope things goa bit smoother for you and Lauren and good on you for keeping a positive attitude through it all, I know it obviously would not have been easy for you. Just keep on truckin' sweetie and make sure you make allowances to have a bit of mummy time too.
Blip/Dansta/Bundy!! YAY, 6 weeks, thats fantastic, am so happy for you...are you gonna wait to tell peeps until 12 weeks this time around or will you be quicker..I wonder if your 2nd pregnancy will be similar to the first one..Will be great to follow Bundy's journey Go DJ for crawling around too and great news for the check up, Sammy is 8.3 kg..not sure how tall, but would dare say the same height as Daz and Oli..maybe a bit shorter.
Sterla: Go Oli on crawling!! Watched the vids on FB and let me tell you, it goes SO QUICKLY from there onwards...everyday they get better and learning at such a quick pace, it amazes me everytime I watch Sam. About baby proofing the house, I only just realised that it is only starting as they start reaching new heights and get better standing and everything, their little hands get into EVERYTHING!! DH is not so mindful of what he leaves laying around and I honestly turned my head for 2 minutes and Sammy had taken DH's wallet onto the floor ( didn't see his wallet there) and started eating the coins out of change pocket and nearly choked! So DH is in for a talking to when he wakes up cause he has not been very careful and in the morning, I always find stuff he shouldn't leave on the ground at nightime...Anyway..disgressing here! The trip away sounded like a nice time apart from the drive home. Don't let one bad experience get in the way of going out for stuff like that. Honestly, the more they do it, the better they adjust. As for swimming, I would recommend lessons, Sammy just LOVES her time in the water with dad, plus its such a nice activity for them to do together. Sure they are not actually learning how to swim, but we have been learning a lot of good ways to introduce them to water and floating, etc..anyway, my opinion
Peach: Melbourne is fun isn't it? thats great that Winter was a good little bubby...How many teeth has she got now?? Sammy is up to 8th still, with the 8th keeping going up and down. Sounds like your MG is going really well too, I miss my MG but have made enquiries and will be going to some playgroups next week to see what the mums out here are like. As for the sleeping, you do the best you can, but I must say, Sammy has been a lot harder to settle during the day too, but I do let her cry it out a bit if I know she is tired and ready to go to bed..depends on the cry (whinge or screaming) I know not everyone is comfortable with this, trust me I don't last too long either..but as she is also starting to do temper tantrums when things are not going her way, so I want to nip it in the bud.. so what I would say is that if you are planning on making any changes of how you expect her to go to sleep, I would make them now and make sure DH sticks to it too. I really think our lil clever muffin's are starting to test us and see how far they can "run" the show.
Pj: Summer's professional photos are just GORGEOUS!! Her skin seems to be a lot better too, is that pretty much under control? Well done on shopping for yourself, I am not buying any new clothes until I reack 90Kg I have decided ( 8 kg away) I totally know what you mean to about the stuff they make that aren't good for bubs, its almost like...hello people, whats the point of selling that stuff if its so harmful. Don't worry about tummy time, Summer will get there in her own time..some bubs take longer than others tahts it!
Raver: Glad to see you are still lurking around Hope all is well in your family
Okies, little bubba is awake ( after only 20 minutes, sigh...) Catch up soon xxx

Finally - have found some time while Oliver is asleep to post... He's only been having little sleeps this week so not much time to do anything.
Dansta: That is so exciting!!! And I was very excited to see your new ticker!!! You're going to have all of us along for the ride .
Moose: Sounds like Sammy is certainly keeping you busy! She sounds like such a bright little girl .
You are definitely right about the crawling... Oliver hasn't even been crawling for a week yet, and he already seems to have perfected it and is getting faster and faster every day. I've become the big, mean mummy in the past week - I put Oliver down, he crawls to something, and I have to move him away... this weekend DH and I are baby-proofing!!!
You think swimming lessons are definitely worth it? I've heard different things from everyone - some say don't waste your money, others say go for it... I can't decide. Although, if I got DH to do them with Oliver, that would be nice for them both .
AFM: Well, as I started saying to Moose - Oliver is keeping me busy. He's crawling and rolling around so much - nappy-changing has becoming - interesting... turn around for one second and he's rolled and is crawling off in the nude!
Oliver being able to move on his own has opened up new things though... like the other day he was upset and crawled to me while he was crying for a hug! And if I'm getting ready to feed him he'll crawl over to me and (try) and crawl up on the couch! It's so much fun!
We had playgroup on Wedneday this week, and it was Messy Day - lots of paint, slime, jelly... Oliver put his hands in a big tub of jelly and then decided to eat some!
This morning I took Oliver to the pool again, and it didn't go so well this time. I'm not sure what was wrong, but he was really grizzly, and every time the big bucket on the play equipment thing filled with water and emptied (which makes a lot of noise) he'd cry even harder. He did get better after a while though... talking to the other mums, decided it may possibly be his teeth from the way he was munching on his hand and pulling at his ear. Who knows though.
Anyway, better go - Oliver has woken up... only another small sleep.
Hope everyone is well .

Hey Girls,
How is everyone going?
Sterla- Thats sooo cute about Oli crawling for cuddles! Its so hard to imagine when they just stayed still on the floor looking around(even though it wasnt that long ago!) How do you find playgroup compared to mothers group? Is the pool you take him to indoors? Are there many people around? I hear you with the nappy changing... its impossible! I moved her change mat onto the floor about two weeks ago as it was becoming dangerous up high, now I dont even know if Ill bother to even have it on the floor, last nappy change we ended up in the hallway with her sitting up while I tried to get it on. The snaps make it harder than velcro would be I imagine... Will you be getting gates for your place at all? I think we will get one for the kitchen...How is Oli going at nights now, are you getting any more rest? I hope so Love your new ticker!
Moose- Great to hear you and Sammy are well, she sounds like a little independant woman! You'll have to update your ticker so we can see a more recent pic.
Winter has 4 top and 4 bottom teeth so far, they just keep coming. With the sleep thing on one hand I want to get her into a self settle routine, but on the other hand Im so lazy and feeding her is so easy! It just sucks cos then DP cant assist.
GODDAMM border collie!! Sorry I have to vent, this damn dog behind us has the loudest bark which wakes Winter up all the time(3 times this week so far) and its owners never walk it... grrrr.I wish it would shut up!
Anyway!Things here are good, Winter is non-stop on the move crawling everywhere. She pulled herself up to standing on the couch the other night and can get to sitting up from laying down too.. Its so cute she wakes up and you go into her room and she is just sitting up smiling at you when you go in there.. gorgeous Sleeping is the same old, she goes down at 6 and then wakes up at 7 and wont go back down till around 9 or 10 but then generally its not too bad. Cant think of much else.... apart from Im one week down in a ttw but its all hush hush so low profile girls!
Hope your all going well

Peach: To answer your questions...
I think I like MG better than playgroup right now, as I know more mums and all the babies are close to Oliver in age, but when Oliver is older I can imagine playgroup will be better. Our playgroup is basically just a big hall with heaps of toys and paint stations, etc set up. Nothing flash, but the kiddies love it.
The pool is indoors (there are outdoor pools too, but they're not finished yet). There actually aren't too many people when I go on Friday mornings - I think week day mornings aren't busy, but weekends are very busy!
I'm thinking of moving the change mat on the floor soon - Oliver has tried to roll a few times, but not much yet thank goodness. That's so cute that Winter can get back onto her butt now, and that she's there sitting in her cot! Oliver can't quite do that, but honestly - I give him a couple of days, he's so close! Oliver can pull himself to standing aswell - oh and he 'walks' if you hold his arms - so, so cute! And he looks so proud of himself!
We are planning on getting gates to close off our kitchen, everywhere else we can just close the door. The other main thing we have to do is move cords, cause at the moment we have powerboards out in the open. We also need to attach our curtain cords to the wall/window frame.
Our nights are still the same. Last night was a good night - only 2 wake ups! The night before that was shocking - 4 (or was it 5) wake ups. It's all very hit and miss. I used to at least get good day sleeps from Oliver, but that's gone too in the past few days . Quote:

Hope your all going well | OMG - are we living the same life??? So am I - though I didn't say anything cause I highly doubt I am pg! AF hasn't returned for me yet, but DH and I were very naughty - and you never know! I doubt I am UTD, but I'm still gonna test in another week or so to be sure.
Nice talking to you Peach
