Hey Girls,
Sterla- Are you ok? We all get those days every now and again... Eat lots of chocolate, stay in your pj's and dont clean anything! Do the bare minimum and chill out! PM me if you want to chat
PJ- You can get strollers that lay back, have a cover, and a basket underneath. Im looking at getting one. There is one for 99 at big w but it all depends on what you want to pay too. If you dont like your pram I say get a new one. I was given a hand me down when Winter was born which I didnt like, so I got a really good one off ebay. Maybe have a look on there, they have heaps of prams and strollers.
How was your massage? Divine?? That is GREAT about Summers physio appt! I bet you left with a smile on your face?
Moose- That is the one thing that I dislike about living in surburbia is the dogs. Im an animal person, but for crying out loud! If you get a dog, take the thing for a walk! So frustrating when they wake the Bubs up too. Like Dansta said, music in their room is a good idea. Winter listens to Jack Johnson every nap time which drowns out other noise. Its made a big difference too, beforehand she was waking up as my feet brushed the carpet when leaving the room
Dansta- How are you? Enjoy being on light duties for the next 8 months while you can!!!
Hope everyone is well.
Hugs to Sterla***

sterla-Sorry your having an off day,i was too this morning but summer finally gave me a bit of a break by having a sleep and so i had some chocolate and feel better hah but now feel like i shouldnt use food as my comforter so much!!Naughty me.
Peach-Thanks for that,i think i should check out the ones you say,im watching one on ebay too,its so hard to know whats good for you until youve used it really hey?I agree with ya on the dogs, its unfair on them too leaving them alone all day and then they bark, love the music idea,i should do it,it does seem to help,if summer naps in the lounge shes better with the tv on softly as it seems to drown out any other noise.Oh and the massage was diving thanks for asking, just what i needed
dansta-hope you had fun with your friends! What a great gal you are going to all that trouble,im having a baby shower here soon,i dont have the motivation!!I dont know the lady real well but shes not long been here and doesnt know anyone, shes 41 been trying for baby 21 years wow.anyway did you do all the baking when Dj was asleep?or what does he do while you bake?Im thinking maybe i can give summer my cooking utensils she mite like that!

Hi girls:
I keep not getting emails. grrr...
PJ: I find that Sam likes to play in one cupboard with all the pots and pans & some tupperware, wooden spoons, etc. Although the last couple weeks and its getting worse each day, she is stuck to me like a fat kid on a box of smarties! LOL Seriously though, I think it may be the onset of separation anxietey which is so weird cause Sam has always been so independant ande able to amuse herself, now I cannot cook for more than 10 minutes at a time, she hangs off the back of my pants and bites me if I don't pay attention to her. fun fun fun! Thats really nice of you to put on the baby shower, I'm sure it'll be great and you can always buy some finger foods & make a couple quiches..you know nice and easy. For the baked goods, it all depends on how much time you want to spend, but you could even just buy a White Wing/Betty Crocker cake...they are yummy and take 5 minutes! We made a raspberry swirl & white chocolate icing one for my birthday and it was really nice and easy. Hope Summer is being a good girl today!
Peach: yeah I hear you about the walking the dogs...and the music may work but I don't want her to get used to having noise all the time either. With the hotter days, I've been putting the fan on in her room and that seems to drown out some noises, she is really good with the barking, its only when they go off for ages that she wakes up.
Dansta: How was the big party? which excuse did you use not to have a drink? Did you bet & win anything for Melbourne cup?
Sterla: sorry you were having an off day..been having a few of them myself lately. We went to rock and rhyme at the library this mornning and it was pretty good. Will definately be going back. Has the new fluffy mail arrived yet??
Yvette: hope all is well for you and bubs..
AFM: as I was saying to sterla, we went to rock and rhyme this am and it was fun! We had a very busy week-end, party on Friday night which ended up in a massive hangover Saturday morning for nboth DHand I ( DH's WAY WORSE) mine then turned into a migraine til late SUnday night..We also had dinner out at friends place and stayed the night. Still got to ring the playgroup ass. as they cannot hook me up with a MG since Sammy is over 6mths. which is cool. I've got a couple of them to check out next week. I had a really down week last week, bordering on depression tbh but had a good talk to DH and a few cries and am feeling back to my old self this week. I forgot how hard it is to move to a new neighbouhood and meeting new people (even though I am really easy going and social) plus the public transport out ehre is a bit of a shocker, you REALLY have to plan as there aren't too many -pram accessible buses (they only run once an hour or more) but I am getting the hang of it and starting to get out and about. I got myself a bottle of champers and some appetisers to have for Melbourne Cup yesterday afternoon and had a couple glasses of champers, by the time Sammy woke up from the nap, ..it was a bit harder to play with a toddler than expected.. LOL crawling on the floor just isn't the same when you've had a couple drinks!
Better sign off, hope everyone is having a great day!
Mxx

Hey Girls,
Moose- Thats no good you were down last week. Its hard moving to a new place away from friends, Good you have Sammy though so you have an excuse to get out and meet new people, even though it can feel like an effort at times. Have you thought about trying to meet up with other BB'ers? Im not getting emails either....
Our weekend here was AWESOME! I had my 25th bday yesterday so DP made the whole weekend special for me which was so sweet.Sat all our falilies came over for brekkie and lunch which was nice, then sat he organised a party with a few of my girlfriends and made a huge potent punch, then took Winter out for a few hours so I could get boozed without worrying about anything. I had the best time! Then monday he chucked a sickie to look after Winter (and me!) Best birthday ever Enough about me! Fat chops(Winter)is happy and healthy as always and is currently talking to her cupie(kewpie?? sp?)doll. She is a force to be reckoned with now she is crawling... she climbs on everything too!
Hope everyone is having a good day, it is SOOOO hot up here!

Hi girls,
Feeling much happier today. Oliver had a better night, and I had a nice talk with a mum at playgroup this morning - best medicine for the mummy blues.
Dansta: How are you going? Any morning sickness? It must be so surreal to UTD again! How is DJ these days?
PJ: Chocolate does wonders on those bad days, huh? I eat WAY too much of it, lol. Don't really have any advice about the stroller situation - except that you might find it useful to have two? I only have one - it lives in the boot of the car, and because of that is a real pain to get out if I just want to go for a walk around the streets. I don't like my pram very much either - so if you find a really good one, let me know!
That's great that you are planning a baby shower. My friend threw me an awesome baby shower - complete with quizzes and games and jelly baby ice cubes! PM me if you want any ideas .
Moose: Sorry you had a bad week last week - it's hard sometimes, isn't it? Glad you're feeling better this week and starting to settle into your new neighbourhood.
Rock & Rhyme is great isn't it? I mean, I don't know what yours is like, but the one I go to is good.
Yup, my fluffy mail arrived. Am doing a prewash on the new nappy now. I'm sure I'll take pics of Oliver in it and put them on FB soon! Actually, we have some hot days coming up, so I'll be able to put Oliver in just his nappy! Lol about playing with Sammy while tispy!
Peach: Thanks for the PMs hun .
:happybirthday2: Happy Birthday for yesterday! Sounds like you had a great weekend/day - so sweet of your DP! He needs to give my DH some lessons. My birthday is coming up soon too, and I know exactly what I want - a really nice, new nappy bag/handbag. I've been looking around on the net all afternoon to see what's around.
Go Winter heehee! Oliver is becoming more and more of a handful every day!
How is everyone else going - I bet there's a lot of lurkers .
AFM: As I said, I feel much better today. Oliver and I went to playgroup this morning where I had a nice chat with a mum there (who is also in MG). Then a quick trip to the shops. Came home, gave Oliver a feed before he had lunch - but he fell asleep on me - so I put him down and he slept for 2 hours!!! I feel so refreshed!
Oliver is crawling everywhere, pulling himself to standing, walking along the couch, trying to crawl in my lap all the time... he's so active it's unbelievable! It's so strange to think that less than 3 weeks ago he couldn't crawl at all!
Anyway, I better go.

moose: aww about the Mg! hopefully you'll find a good play group and maybe stumble into a MG that way? when you move down to Melbourne if your in the south-east you can some join mine! aww about sammy. is she teething? i've for DJ to be more velcro like when teething. hopefully she gets better for you
peach: lol at a relaxing 8 months! when i was over due with DJ i was chaseing a baby birth around the back yard so our cats didnt get it. and was helping DH & FIL move parts of a car port we where re-locating! i'm not good with the whole "help" concept. i give but not take i'm glad your birthday weekend was lovely for you. even your DP chucking a sickie thats soo sweet!
sterla: aww im glad your feeling better about things. i think we all have a "wall" we run into from time to time. Go Oli with the crawling. DJ is still rollin' around but thats bad enough lol. its scary how once they pick something up they go hammer and tong at it, isnt it? did you find a nice ha-nap bag? i hope your DH buys you one you like!
AFM: cup day was good. got the baking done then spent 3 hours decorateing the cake. and no i didnt take photos, i hated how it looked! but it tasted good. DH told one of his friends. then DH's friend who i've been drinking with when we've caught up commented i wasnt drinking or driving and said " you must be knocked up" and i said "yep, and guess who'll be driving me to hospital if DH cant make it!" he said "not me?" but he was happy. we ended up telling every one by the end of the day. but being UTD seems to have given me better aim. i managed to hit DH's mate in the head twice when thoughing things at him (first time it was an armond the second it was some kabarna )the only downer was a good friend of mine bought his g.f along. she was an odd one. spent most of the time inside with out cats. and was in the bathroom for a while (one of the mums from MG was there and opended the door and was like "umm im peeing, walk in at your own risk" - we only have one bathroom/toilet) but other that it was good. i've not had morning sickness *touch wood* yet. just some really bad heart burn, thats made me throw up.and been tired. Ohh and i must be going to have another hairy baby. ive got hiccups already! Ohh and guess what? now 3 mums in my MG are UTD! hehe. thats as close as we'll get to half (we have 7 in our group) which will make things fun mid-next year. i guess at least i'll have some people to come entertain me when im whale sized!
Oo o better go!
hope every one is having a good night!...wow this was longer then i thought!!

Good Morning!
How is everyone today? Did everyone sleep well?
Last night I went to yoga for the first time in like 6 months, and it was soooooo good! Have any of you girls tried it? Winter of course wouldnt go to sleep for DP so they played together untill they had to pick me up at half 8... and she was snoring in the car when I got in Then I fed her when we got home and she slept through till 6am!!!! WOOP! Her sleep is finally getting better which is SO good, but I dont want to jinx anything!
Today Im meant to be at MG... but DP thought I said I wasnt going so didnt leave enough time in his break to drop us there, so we are home all day again today
Sterla- Have you found a nice nappy bag yet? When is your birthday?? And what new nappy is this you speak of???? What are you and Oli up to today??

Hi!
Dansta: Glad cup day was good! Lol about UTDness giving you better aim! OMG about so many mums in your MG being UTD - must be something in the water?
Peach: Yoga sounds great! I haven't ever taken yoga classes, but have tried it out a couple of times. That is so great about Winter sleeping so well!!! You must feel like a new woman!
We had an okay night last night. Oliver was up 3 times, but it was still a good night cause he was easy to out back down after his feed. He woke at about 6.30am and just played in his cot for a while. Much better for us .
I'm doing lots of looking around for nappy bags. I started a thread asking about them, and some of the bags suggested are so pretty! My birthday is later this month (27th) - so if I work out which one I want now I should get it in time.
Ah yes - got a new nappy. A cushie tushie couture - the blue with white dots - very nice. I also got a wet bag and some foaming wash cleanser (since I use cloth wipes). I don't buy nappies as often now - but still get the occasional one . Itti bitti have some new nappies coming out in a couple of weeks - really nice patterns... I may end up getting a couple of them too .
AFM: Oliver and I went to Rock & Rhyme this morning and saw some of the other mums and bubs fromy my MG there. Afterwards we dropped in on DH at work (which I hardly ever do), and the baby of another guy who works there was in - she turns 1 at the end of this month. Oliver and her were having fun crawling around after each other - very cute!
Not sure what we're up to this afternoon. I just made pikelets for lunch - might let Oliver try some .
Speaking of Oliver, he is awake, so I better go.

Sterla: sounds like a lovely morning you had. I can't believe Oliver is still up 3 times a night...he used to be such a good little sleeper..can I ask what your nightime routine is? Did you ask anyone at the EC if they had any ideas ? You poor thing, I just can't imagine being up 3 times a night anymore. Hope he settles for you soon.
Dansta: that is INSANE about 3 mums in your MG alone all UTD...as Sterla said, there must be something in the water or in your baking ;-) I wish I could have seen your mate's face when you said that you were indeed utd and he may have to drive you to hospital! LOL I'm glad the morning sickness is holding off for you. When is your next scan? Are you getting an 8 week one or straight to 12 weeks?
Peach: I forgot to mention, I am still Sydney Moose cause we haven't moved to Melbourne yet and most likely won't be for a bit. Happy Belated Birthday!! I am glad you had a great one, it was so nice of your DH to chuck a sickie!!! I did yoga all through my pg and loved every minute of it, I found a group close to home that does a class on Wednesday nights but finances are a bit too tight at the mo, but am hoping I can start again. I used to do it years ago and always liked it, it is such a relaxing yet thorough work out. AS I have bad knees/back/joints lol, it's great for me as it's low immpact and you only go as far as your body allows you. Glad Winter is sleeping for you too. I think its so funny that she won't sleep for your DH..maybe your DH can try something of his own, my DH pats Sammy hair and blows softly on tyhe top of her head and she loves it.that's their thing, but lucky for us, Sammy is a champ at self settling and we very seldom have to help her go to sleep.
Pj: How are you and Summer??
AFM: Sam and I went out for a nice long walk and a bit of shopping. We ran into my SIL's SIL if that makes sense, which was weird as it is the 1st time I have ever ran into someone I actually know since moving here, it was nice. I also signed up for mums and bubs day at the mall too, they have someone speaking once a month about stuff and usually 30-40 mums gather up, its a free even once a month. I also found a couple BB's ers who live near me!! YAY so will be catching up with them next week. So things are definately on the look up! I also saw Santa's chair at the mall today and can't wait to get a piccie of Sam on his lap!! I've already bought Xmas cards in which I can insert a photo. I also bought her a cheapie outfit (6$) at the 2 $ store , a little dress that says Santa's little Baby! is so cute, couldn't resist, but the best one is the bib I found for her and it says Merry Christmoose!! LOL had to buy that also.
Ok , got to prepare dinner whilst little padawan is sleeping, hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi again!
Sterla, 3 times a night is rough hey but its so much easier when they just go strait down after a feed. Glad to hear you guys had a nice morning, I bet your DH loved the visit
I saw cushie's at my local baby market the other week, but they didnt tickle my fancy... and did I mention I got 3 itti's a while back? Winter soakes through them in less than two hours!!! DEVO! So Im sticking with the beehinds(magic and fitted).
Isnt it so cute now Oli can crawl around with his little friends now? I love watching the Bubs interact...
Moose- Im confused, are you still in Sydney?? Thats great you are getting out there! I hope your BB meet up goes well next week. Sterla seems to have a good time meeting other BBers... I only get weirdo's
Too cute about Sammy's little outfit!! How exciting will the Santa phtot's be?!! I cant wait! Did you get any bargains at shopping?
Wow, how did you find yoga when pregnant? That is the only downfall- how expensive. I pay $13 a lesson... which isnt too bad I guess, just means I cant go more than once a week. I luuuurve the chanting, so relaxing!!! Sterla, you have to give a class a go!
SO hot again here today, Im melting!!!

peach: Woo for yoga! that sounds like fun. aww about the odd balls at the meet ups for you
sterla: LOL yep. must be something in the water, want me to bottle some up and send it to you hows the hawt nappy bag shopping going? found one you like? and being UTD with better aim is good...lets hope it lasts until the end when i want DH to get something he cant ignore me if i throw stuff at him
Moose: i hope you find a good play group soon! and enjoy the BB meetup, i've really got to get myself along to one lol. as so the scans, we're having a 12 week one. but i've got to book myself in with a new GP after the one i normaly used screwed up the bloods for the comfermation of the preg. but the hospital sent me a list of GPs they work with...so now i just need to find a bulk billing one near me!
AFM: been semi busy. helping DH write a resume for a new job (he's losing the one he has now but they've set up a job for them to walk into which is good) plus getting everything ready for his birthday. which wasnt as big as i thought. then this weekend we're going out for tea with the inlaws (thankfuly not BIL & SIL) Ohh and found out last night my sister passed her uni corse (deploma in law/commerce) which means she'll have "nic. m***** blah blah blah LLB" at the end of her name, when asked what BBL stood for i said Lots and Lots of Bull sh*te hehe so she was happy (after 5 years of study i guess any one would be!) so we're holding off on telling every one due to that but on the upside i found out a good friend of mine is having a baby boy (they lost a little girl at 17 weeks) and her EDD is the day before my birthday! i'm soo excited for her. i'm seeing her in Dec (shes in sydney now) so i'm going to buy her some baby boy clothes! teehee...ahh i cant wait for the bump again! dh made the comment last night "ohh i can feel a bump" and i was like "erm honey, thats my flab" but he was like "nooo its moved becuase of the baby!" silly male. but i do agree im getting "thicker" around the waste. fingers crossed i can fit into my out fit for a wedding on two weeks (from tomorrow)!!
Hope every one is having a good day!

Good day Ladies!
Dansta- Good to hear your still feeling good, bout your DH and the tummy call. I look like Im in my second trimester... too much chocolate. I bet your friend will love the gift of baby clothes and Im sure you will have fun shopping for them!
Moose-How are you and Sammy today? What sippy cup is Sammy using now? I have gone looking for one recently but always leave without one as there is so many to choose from. With the oddball it wasnt a formal BB meet up, just a girl that posted for having a mg at her home... she seemed really lovely at first but after a few times I began to not trust her just from the way she spoke about her "friends"... which made me think if thats what she was saying about them, what would she say about me? iykwim?
Sterla- What are you and Oli up to today? How are you both?
PJ- How are you and Summer?
AFM- I AM SOOOO SCARED TODAY!!! In less than 3 hours I am getting Winter's name tattoo'd on my ribs.... Ive been wanting it done since she was born, and am finally doing it today. Oh god Im shaking just thinking about it!
Fat chops is having her second nap for the day, she is in such a good mood today(like usual) its so cute now when I leave the room instead of sitting there crying, she follows me around like a little puppy, so cute! It is a constant battle keeping things out of her mouth now though... Ive literally vacumed the house everyday this week as she is constantly finding fluff and other inedible objects and eating them... I cant leave her for a second!!!
Hope everyone is having a good day

Hi ladies,
Dansta: Lol - no, you can keep your 'special' water all to yourself! I do want more kids, but I'll wait a little longer I think... though having said that, I do miss being pregnant, and having a brand new, tiny baby... awww . Congrats to your sister - sounds fancy . That's so great about your friend being pg again - how absolutely devastating to lose a baby then . Lol at your DH - he better watch out when those pg hormones kick in!
Nappy bag search is still on...
Peach: Wow, wow, wow about the tattoo!!! That's a really cool idea for a tattoo - especially since 'Winter' isn't just a name, people might just assume you really like cooler weather . On the ribs - does it hurt more there? I feel like it would? Good luck!!! Lol - I know what you mean about needing to vacuum all the time. Oliver is always eating carpet fluff - I try and stop him, but he's so darn quick and sneaky! He's also tried to eat grass (today at the park), uncooked spaghetti that was on our kitchen floor, paper...
Awww about Winter following you around so cute, isn't it?
Moose: Yup, Oliver is up 3 times a night (sometimes less - last night was twice) - but he's been doing it for months and months now - maybe since he was 4-5 months? I'm not sure why it happened - but I just go with it. He does genuinely seem to want the feeds at night - when I tried to get him back to sleep without it - well, it took 3 hours instead of 20 mins. TBH, I'm so used to waking up that often that I don't feel too tired most days.
That's great about meeting up with other BB girls I've met a few now, and everyone has been really lovely - no weirdos yet .
AFM: Well, Oliver and I have had the nicest day! This morning we went to the pool. We have been going every Friday for the past few weeks with another mum from MG, but today she wasn't there - so it was just Oliver and I. We had fun hanging out in the warm baby pool, and then we went for a dip in the bigger pool. I dunked Oliver under a couple of times which he didn't seem to mind.
Then we came home and Oliver had a nice long sleep, so I was able to have a shower and get a bit of housework done.
When he woke up, we went into the city to the park and had a lovely picnic under a tree. DH came for a bit too on his lunch break. I was very brave and gave Oliver a breastfeed there (still haven't done many public feeds), and he was very good - didn't get distracted by everything for once. After we ate, DH took Oliver on this train-ride thing they have at the park - it's basically a little open car (that looks like a train), and it drives around the paths of the park. Oliver loved it - DH said he was so interested in everything (especially a duck that flew into the water as the drove past). After they got off Oliver was so hyped up, lol - making heaps of noise and trying to climb up on me all the time. After DH left, Oliver and I had a walk around the park and stopped by to watch the monkeys. He makes the funniest noise when he sees animals and gets excited - sort of a loud, gasping noise - I don't know if anyone but DH and I would know that that's his excited noise. While we were watching the monkeys I saw the woman who sold us our house - so she asked how it was going.
Now we are home again and Oliver is having another sleep, which is just as well - cause we still have some exciting things happening today. My Mormor (grandmother on my mum's side) is back (just landed actually) from overseas. She left December last year, which means that she hasn't met Oliver yet! Once Oliver wakes up we are heading over to my parents' so we can see her! It's very exciting - It's been so long, and now she can finally meet Oliver!

Good morning
Sterla- Your day yesterday sounded awesome! Man what the, you have MONKEYS at your park?!?!?!??! Haha crazy tasmanians Thats great Oli is enjoying himself at the pool, I really want to start taking Winter.
Good on you for your BF in the city! It gets easier the more you do it. Do most of the mums in your MG BF? Its always easier when you can just get it out there and know no-one will stare or anything. How long do you reckon you will BF for? I love it so much, Im so glad Winter and I havnt had any problems...
I survived my tattoo! Yep, ribs are pretty much the most painful spot you can get tattoo'd.... and I took it suprisingly well. It looks soooo awesome, all purple and pink and swirly I love it!
Bah, Piglet has just woken up better go!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Winter is getting babysat today for the first time by my Mum while DP and I go out and play some pool for a couple of hours... wish me luck!

Peach: That's awesome about your tattoo! I'd love to see a pic of it if you don't mind .
That's great about Winter getting babysat for the first time - I am yet to have anyone (even DH) babysit Oliver... and it seems to be starting to become a bit of an issue with my mum in particular . It doesn't help that Oliver feeds frequently throughout the day, and I'm the only one who can get him to sleep - it kind of limits how long I can be away from him. Not that I mind - I don't really want to be away from Oliver, but I hate feeling guilty about it. Oops, sorry - I'm rambling... I hope you and your DP have fun. Lol, yup we have monkeys - they're Japanese Macaque. I'm not sure why we do, but they've always been there (except for a brief period years ago where they all contracted syphilis). They're so fun to watch!
I wish I breastfed more in public, but using nipple shields makes discretion a bit more difficult, plus Oliver gets so distracted by everything these days . I think there's only 5 including me (out of 17) mums in my MG breastfeeding now, but it is good to be around them breastfeeding - gives me a bit more confidence. I plan on breastfeeding for a while longer yet - definitely past 12 months. Really I'd like to let Oliver self-wean, but we'll see how we go.
Well, DH is back with lunch, so I better go eat
Hope everyone is having a good day
