I won't put the cot up I don't think. she seems to have stopped wandering for now. She is still waking every blooming night again but just going into our bed..

I fell asleep out in the lounge last night (had a bed all set up so Simon could sleep without kids before work lol) I woke at 10 and Olivia was in bed with Simon. so I slept in the lounge kid free hahah

It is cool and rainy here. First proper rain for close to 4 months. It is so nice. I want to go run around outside but alas I have 3 out of 4 kids sick with runny noses.. Why do my kids get sick on the weekends? Isaac I think needs to see a Dr. yes the Dr is open but I can't get there.. sigh

Sounds like ash is truely attached to his boobie Lauren. With alex i went back to work and dropped him at mums - i only went back for one day for 4 hours and left him with a bottle of formula to tide him over. Well he decided that it was much better nanna feeding him then me - little rat was 4 months old.
Jack was a very hungry baby and decided that bottle was best at 5 months old - i gave it to him to get sleep he slept really good from then
Charlie was attached. I found none of mine would substitue boobie for water. I went with s26 gold for my last two. Charlie had his with chocolate the first time lol but it worked a treat. I had to warm it up for quite a while but.
Ethan the hospital weened. Dont forget the cabbage leaves to ease the pain for you.
Nic - lol is olivia a daddy's girl? Bet she loved sleeping in your bed but.
Louise - i dont think that is selfish. You gave your kids the best start, now its time for you to feel like it is your body again.

Ethan is being a little rat wont talk much at all but boy can he get into everything and boss his brothers around. Gotta learn how he does it.
Hope you all have a great day

Olivia used to be all Mummy's but lately she has discovered Daddy is heaps more fun so yeh she is nw a daddy's girl..

I wish she would sleep all night though. This gettingout of her bed into ours is really starting to bug me. Last night it was 2am. she stirs heaps before we go to bed too,,

I know I should try get her out of the habit of being nursed off to sleep each night but I don't have the energy to deal with her by that time of night.. I don't even know where to start,

Nic - thats exactly where most of my issues are with Ash i am just way to tired to fight with him. I would rather get out of been 2-3 even 4-5 times a night to feed him for 2 mins back to sleep than spend 40 mins getting him to sleep without boobie as he did a month or so ago.... Too damn hard. I still feed Ash too to get to sleep at night... i figure if he can sleep perfect at childcare then he still does know how to settle himself without me... hes just a monkey for me!

After we watched the vid together the little bugger got up on the table and started turning the light on and off again

I am at my wits end with this girl.. Last night she woke at 10 and was up till jjust after 12. she is in a foul mood now because she is so tired.. Agghh.. why won't she stay in her bloody bed.

only once in the last month has she slept in her bed all night. and that was 2 nights ago..

cute side of her tho.. 2 conversations I had with her..

Olivia get on your bed..
No mummy no no
why not olivia
I scared
what are you scared of
dunno

then this morning I said something to her and she replied with.. What mum?

Nic all we get these last few days is 'NO NO NO' when we ask her something. M has big conversations and one day we will be able to understand everything she is saying. Apart from the NO conversations and unwillingness to do things, she is cute most of the time so that kind of makes up for it. We have been pretty lucky with her sleeping but we had to put the side rail back on her bed as she fell out of it twice last week. We have the Grobag My First Duvet which zips up and is fabulous but as it is getting hot, we unzip the duvet and she rolls over and out she falls. It means that she can't climb on or off her bed now so we hear 'UP UP UP' when she wakes up with legs dangling over the side.

Buzzie, I weaned Monique when I went to the Australian Open this year and it took a couple of weeks for day feeds but surprisingly not too many unsettled nights. I hope it goes well for you.

Louise, I know how you feel. I have been pregnant and/or bf for years now too but I will bf Amelia until she is at least one and see what she wants to do from there. It will be nice to have the body back again.

Jasp, Ethan sounds like he knows what he is doing. Funny. I bet they love running around after him though.

OK, just had to share an embarassing moment...... Last night Olivia walked in on DH and I when we were..... ummmmm..... having some grown up time I know she didn't see anything (and wouldn't have known what was going on anyway) but still I have a feeling we will have to start shutting the bedroom door I had serious mummy guilt afterwards.

Nic - the video of Olivia is very cute. My Olivia likes switches too, but luckily the lights are all where she can't reach them.

Lauren - How is the romance going?

Nic - love the video, she looks so big. Ethan likes switches too but the only ones in his height are the power poitns not good for the tv
Goodluck with the bed bit. I am having trouble with Ethan as well seems the only time i get much sleep is when i allow him to go into my bed.
Tinsel - yep they love running after him, they tell me he is being cute lol wonder if when he is 18 and doing the same thing they will tell me he is cute. Mind you he is the first one to hug them better if they get hurt.
alicia - yep they are getting older now. I am sure most of us have suffered the same embassing situation at least once, i still am yet to remember to close my door, i forget that they are all growing up way too fast. Hugs for the mummy guilts i think that is one of the joys of motherhood lol we always feel guilty if we feel we are letting the kids down etc but funny enough they dont always see things the same way thankgoodness.

Oh Alicia I had to have a little giggle.. 4 kids later and we have never been sprung Well Ethan did once but he was under 10 months so I figure that doesn't count

Thanks for the vid love Thankfully she doesn't really touch any other power points or light switches. Only that one above the kiddy table..

Yep, Monique still has some and after the whole Amelia cradle cap debacle (you may have seen it on FB), I don't want to put anything on it. I try and comb it out when she lets me.

I can't believe my baby girl is turning 2 tomorrow

I love remembering the time of their births leading up to their birthdays.

This time 2 years ago I had been in hospital for 4 days already. Steroids and insulin drips and all that jazz.. Scary stories from the Dr as to what might go wrong due to my placenta having issues due to the GD. I remember on the day before I was fully expecting to be told to go home.. but at lunch time I ran into the OB downstairs when I was saying goodbye to mum, simon and the boys and he asked if I had had lunch I said yes and he said well we will have to deliver this baby tomorrow then.. Completly unprepared for that news but by golly we were excited and nervous all at the same time..

I look at Olivia today and it is like she has always been here. She is just so adorable..

Now for a little funny but bad on my part Yesterday she climbed up on my mum and she elbowed her in her booby. I said that seriously hurts because Olivia does it to me all the time. I said (jokingly) when she is 20 and has boobs of her own I am going to walk up and elbow her hard and say there b!tch ( I said it quietly) next minute Olivia goes There B!tch lol:

Yesterday she also started recognising some colours and last week she counted to 5 completely unprompted.. Clever little chicken this one

Well my mother is calling lol.. better go
