| | Shell - for your loss mate. Was thinking of you during and after the game. Hope that tooth of Es cuts through soon! Holly - for your loss and another for Ls grumbling. J has had days like that recently the past couple of weeks. Drives me nuts too. I totally agree with Nai though - singing and dancing with him in my arms is always sure to get a giggle! Is there anyone who can take him for an hour or so to give you a break? Malyna - at the loss being your fault! Love the vid of A on fb too. He is so close to crawling! Ali - So glad your DP is feeling better, that you've been getting out and that A is sleeping well. Yay for holidays around the corner too. How is work now a few weeks in? AJP - for AF. That sucks. Pinny - Its so strange the way they can follow a totally crap day/night with an awesome one. J does that a lot too. I'm so glad it got better and I hope it continues for you. It's hard when you're up all night. Did you end up counting L's feeds? I can get a bit too focused on that kind of stuff and it does my head in if I think about it too much. Nai - Hope DD1 returning home doesn't shake things up too much. We've had similar screaming fits from J lately in the middle of the night. Very unfun. Odette - Hope your migraine buggers off! Meg - That sounds interesting - the wonder weeks is also based around the date of conception and the development from that point - they just change it to weeks after birth but you're meant to adjust forwards or backwards if bubs was early/late etc. AFM - We've had quite a few ups and downs with J the past few days. He can have rubbish day sleeps all day and then have a fantastic night. Yet on other nights (like sunday) he'll wake and cry and fuss and complain and scream for an hour or more. No idea. I think I'm slowly getting used to not being able to have any idea how he'll sleep next. I am keeping a diary of his sleep to see how much on average he's getting a day and to see if there's anything obvious that sticks out around the times he doesn't sleep. Aside from cutting his feeds back, we've made quite a few changes the past couple of weeks, giving each one a few days before doing the next. So he's no longer wrapped (just sacked that cold turkey one day, didn't notice a great difference either way), he has a lovey duck thing to take to bed plus his dummy. We also put another curtain up yesterday to make the room darker cause it's quite light in there during the day and I don't think it helps him to roll over into the second sleep cycle. We've been out all day today so he's all out of routine, had hardly any sleep. Went down just after 5 but he hasn't had a bath yet. Hoping he'll wake at some point before I go to bed because he's just in a normal day nappy (since about 4pm) and he'll wet through if I don't get him into a night nappy soon

Jols- Is the lump anything to worry about? Have you booked in for the u/s? Hope all is ok. Did Dr think could be to do with milk ducts or anything like that?
Kaz- Good idea writing it all down, that way too if you do go to Tressilian you've got it all written down. He will get there. Does he seem to be getting adequate sleep over a 24hr period? On a seperate topic have you found an independant midwife to help you with your hospital info?
Nai- Nothing worse when one child wakes the other, I hope J settles down tonight.
Emily hasn't been too great post needles, sleeping heaps ( thats a plus!) but unhappy when she is up. Gave her bottle at 2, sat her in her walker next thing I find the tray covered in vomit and the floor, it seriously looked like the whole 180mls was back up, didn't even make a noise tho! Tried to feed her dinner but after few mouthfuls she started making vomit noises so cut that off. Other times didn't really affect her.

shell dr isnt sure, were hoping its just fatty tissues or a blocked duct, though ive had the lump for a while so i doubt its that, got to book in tomorrow for the u/s more worried about maybe needing it drained
poor emily, hopefully a good nights sleep and she'll be ok tomorrow

Jols - I hope it is ok. Keep us posted on how you go.
Shell - Poor little Em. Is she ok today?
Is anyone else finding that kids are waking earlier in the morning? E seems to be up most mornings now at about 6:30 and J is up between 6 and 7. Bring on DLS!!!!
Still not having too much luck with solids. She is eating maybe a teaspoon for breakfast, and no lunch, then dinner maybe a very small serving. She will only eat sweet stuff, so I have to mix things with pears and apples. haven't even tried much in the way of meat yet. She does like yoghurt though. (It used to make J vomit when he was that age)

Yeah - E is the same, but she gets almost nothing if she feeds herself. She likes cucumber, but can't bite or chew it! What foods are you giving M?

Jols- Hope all is ok with the u/s, fingers crossed you do not need it drained, doesn't sound pleasant....let us know how u go. I have had u/s done on the breasts before and they told me to treat the films like gold as they like to compare them if you ever need them again, so hang onto them.
Meg- Yes DD is awaake from 6am, when the birds wake up....
Shell- Yuck they vomit does not sound like fun!! L was like that post needles too! Vomiting large amounts and not keen on solids
Nai- How's the change of room going?? We are getting better each day so hang in there!!!
Holly- How's DS??? ANy better, I too think there must be more going on..poor little man to be so miserable.. hang in there and try to get some time for yourself, even a bath to relax..maybe have one with DS?? It might be relaxing for both of you.
AFM- We are having great luck with the room change only feeding twice a night, a roll over and again around 1.45am, He does wake inbetween but DH is still settling him back off to sleep which is great form me and not so great for him but I have done it for the past 7 months so I don;t really feel that bad..Spent the morning at the park enjoying the sun with my mum's group was very relaxing... L has finally taken to food and actually opens his mouth!!! Yay!!!

Hi Everyone - well last night Miss J slept in the same room as her big sister for the first time and it went quite well! They both went to bed just after 7pm and Miss J woke at 5.45am. I went in there and DD1 was sitting up in bed saying that J woke her so I told her to go back to sleep (and she did!) and I took Miss J into bed with us where she slept until 6.45am. Unfortunately now DD1 seems to have a temp *sigh* It's never ending!
Jols - I hope the u/s is ok! That would be a bit worrying.
Shell - How is Miss E today?
Pinny - yay on the room change and the solids!!

Sorry for selfish post again...
L has a virus. I went to the docs today because his snot is now thicker and yellow so thought something was up. He has some fluid in his ears as well. So for now he is having dimetap and nurofen. PLUS, I can feel a bottom tooth cutting through!!! Poor thing - couldn't have come at a better time..NOT!
Anyway, dinner is burning oops! Gotta run xox

| | Holly - that sucks! Poor L. Hope he feels better soon! AJP - Good luck tomorrow with the scan. Nai - whoot on the girls sleeping in the same room successfully. Not so great about DD1's temp though. Shell - How was Em today? Hope the vomitting eased up and she's back on her food. Pinny - Yay for L getting into his food! Heaven - How is G going with sleeping in the cot/on the mattress? must go and check your thread! AFM - J slept 1.5hrs last evening then got up so we did the bed routine etc a little late but I did get to change that nappy but then he wet through it anyway Can't win. He's had a shocker for sleeps today and was SO tired this arvo but fighting it. Such a grumble bum. He's really "talking" now when he's cranky, telling me all about it He's been down an hour now - hopefully it continues!

Emily seems alot better today, thanks for asking girls, still not eating as much as she was but back into it.
Didn't get much sleep tho cause we were at the zoo all day today, Ash had great time, perfect weather but poor Em was bit grizzly had trouble falling asleep.
Kaz- Its funny now how they tell you when they aren't happy, sometimes I feel like she is shouting at me, lol.
Holly- Poor L, prolly explains why he has been so miserable of late, prolly not feeling so good for few days. Hopefully he has passed the worst of it. (He prolly is upset by sat results!)
Jols- I hope all is ok, when is yr u/s booked in for? Did you have a similar prob with the last u/s? Hope the iron is better, are you feeling like its improved?
Nai- I remember sharing room with my sister, all the fun we got up to. My mum still thinks to this day my sister climbed out of her cot at such a real young age but was me helping her lol.
Pinny- thats great bit by bit he'll start waking less, might not bother waking in between feeds if he realises hes getting DH not a feed.
Meg- I'm over early wake ups! I am so glad they moved DLS to start Oct, when it was at end it was such a pain! I had a couple food suggestions given to me, turnip and pear mix, and a sweet potato, apple and rice mix (she loves that one).
Emily is also a pooing machine even more since that rotavirus, grizzling again now.

Shell, glad E is feeling better and that you had a good time at the zoo!
Kaz, I'm really sorry but I must have missed something...what are these notes for and why are you going to the hossy?? All the best though!
AJP, woohoo! That's great that Millie is sleeping well with a blankie - wish she's have a word with L!
AFM...just soooo so tired. Wish L was more predictable with his sleeps or had some sort of routine. I'm a person who functions so much better having a plan/routine so I feel like my life is in shambles and I can't do anything!! I'm so anxious and on edge all the time. I've really noticed my mood and personality changing. It's weird. Even the smallest of decisions put upon me, and I feel like it's all too much and I don't know what to do! I rarely even leave the house and when I do I don't like to take L as I don't know how he's going to be and I can't relax It's so stressful. My anxiety is just through the roof atm
Sorry for the whinge. I guess I should try and sleep now while he's sleeping! xox

Shell - you poor thing. Hope you are feeling better.
Holly - I understand where you are coming from. I am an anxious person as well. And babies can't be controlled.
AJP - yay on no more wrapping.
Funny with E's eating, as if J is eating then she will have what he is having, but if he isn't then she doesn't want it!
MCHN suggestedspreading mashed veggies onto toast. Might have to give it a try.
What do you all think - Should I sweeten up the veggies and meat by adding fruit to it as well, or perservere with her getting used to savory on it's own. (I was thinking get her used to it mixed, and slowly cut down the fruit content)
Oh - and E has her bottom teeth! I didn't even realise. They look like they have been there a while too! Go the amber teething necklace. (maybe that is why she has been waking so early, and she was unsettled for about half an hour going down last night...)
