Hi all

Reborn- yay! Congrats! How exciting! Yay DS is crawling! How cute!

Melissa- sounds like you planned an awesome 30th for DH! WOW! Im glad it was great. How are the day sleeps going? Re TTC the one sex...we did it by "accident" meaning we BD on the day of O, and I ate all the foods that are meant to help you get a boy, also did the positions that promote it etc...well I got a girl! lol. I wasnt fussed though, but next time Im going to try for a boy!

Raven- you poor thing I hope you feel much better soon! How is your back now?

Laurin- yay someone else who is still night feeding. I feel so alone with it all and it really does feel like it will last forever. Im praying she just weans herself off it. The frustrating this is she just cant be starving 3 hours after her last bottle! Grr.

Leigh- I hope you dont get a cold, it's already hard looking after a bub without being sick too!

All ok here. We have just had another rough week with Mia being sick AGAIN and not sleeping at night at all. She was in bed with us again, and only has gone back into her cot the last 2 nights. She has an awful cough, so it was waking her up constantly. Now I have the vapouriser in her room which really helps. Her day sleeps are all over the place too! This morning she had 20 mins, then at 2pm woke after 40 mins, but I resettled her and now she is still asleep and it is 4.30pm! So now I think should I wake her?
I know it wont affect her bed time at night, she will still go to sleep at 7, but will she wake more in the night? Hmm!

Anyway thought I'd pop in and see how you all are!

Melissa I gave my copy away already, but glad you got one anyway

Leigh hope your throat is better

Skyeblue how is Mia now? I don't like to wake up a sleeping bubba either but do quite often for school runs. I feel awful doing it!

Laurin hi Bet you're enjoying the lappy!

R had a really unsettled night. She screamed every time I put her down so by 11pm I ended up taking her to bed with me. I took her to the cot at 12:30 and she grizzled a bit and woke up C so I was trying to soothe both of them She settled down while I was getting C a drink *yay* I ended up sleeping in through the alarm and had to be horrible shrieking mummy to get out of the house (poor boys)
She had health centre this morning at 9 (it's in the same comlex as the school) and because I was in such a rush I didn't have time to change her and left her in the sleeping bag (grabbed a change for after). I hadn't noticed she had smeared snot across her face and in her hair, she also must of puked sometime as it was on her sleeping bag and she also did a massive poo on the way there. Talk a about feeling like a feral when I was undressing her to be weighed lol

She is also getting both her top teeth at the moment - they are about to break through the gum - so that will be 2 top and 2 bottom!! Yay. She is such a trooper = even though she is teething and has a cold / bronciolitis - she has still bee sleeping through 6.30 - 7 - bless her!!

Hope eveyone is well or getting better!!

Hi girls
Good to see some action in here!!

Reborn – CONGRATS!!! How exciting for you!!

Raven - hope your back is feeling better – I’ve pulled a muscle in mine while lifting the washing basket also – time for a housework strike I reckon!!

Boo Boo – we’re also in the “some not” basket when it comes to sleeping thru. Sienna is absolutely terrible and we’ve finally got a referral for Tresillia, but they have a 13 week waiting list, so I’ve no idea how I’m going to wait that long without help!!!

Leigh – hope the throat gets better!!

Skyeblue – we’ve had a sick bubba too. Her cough is terrible and is waking her constantly throughout the night. Hope Mia has finally kicked it!

Kate – poor Bella, there must be so much fluey stuff going around at the moment, sick bubbas everywhere!!

Apart from the horrible nights (I’m starting to dread bedtime), Sienna has been well. She’s finally kicking the cold, altho she still has a lingering cough which is disturbing her through the night. On a good note tho, our little girl is crawling!! Now I’ll really know I’m alive, we’ve now got to do the whole “child-proofing the house” business coz she gets into everything!!

As mentioned, we’re off to Tresillia for some sleep-assistance. But in the meantime I think I’m going to resort to swaddling again as that seems to settle Sienna when she wakes herself in the night, and at the moment, we’re desparate for anything to work!!

Take care all,
Mel xx

Sam- sounds like my trip....although yours was a bit more fun-! I had a flat battery so I pulled out the pram and ran to the health centre...only to work out that I was 30 minutes early...then ran home, then picked up mum and Olivia, walked back and was 10 minutes late and stinky!

Kate- hope bella is getting better

mel- good luck up the sleep school. We went for Olivia and the wait is revolting. I didnt get too much out of it but it just reassured me that we were doing the right things!

Us- bec seems to only want to have one sleep....doh! Liv did the same thing. So today she slept from 12 til 3pm. Probably coz she was up at 415 this morning. She went back down at 6 and Liv got up soon after, so I have been up since 415 and my head is aching. Cant sleep coz dh is at tafe Just have an early night i hope. Becca is cutting her top tooth so more fun to come. Shes still commando crawling, she can get up on all 4s bt slips on the boards. I have been doing the wii for the past few nights as I want to loose 5kgs before coming off the pill in September....and my legs are killing me. I do the jillian Micheals class.

Anyway hope everyone is well

hey all

Mel - I am so with you on the sleep, I dread nights as well, Finny has a cough at the moment which is just making things so much worse, some nights he wakes up to 10 times - yes I kid you not - arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is all I can say

Kate - aww hope little bella's on the mend, can she send some sleepy vibes our way.

Sam - that is so what would happen to me - re: MCHN visit.

Ok sorry I have missed out everyone, it is quiet so I really should try and get some zzzz' s before the next wake up call.

to all.

Hi Girls

Kate - Hope the antibiotics kick in fast and Bella gets better really soon.

Sam - I couldnt help but laugh at your trip to the MCHN, that sort of thing would happen to me too.

Mel - I haven't tried the Jillian Michaels workout, thinking I might buy it and give it a go. I've been so slack on my diet and exercise lately. Gotta get motivated again.

Melly - Bugger on the sleep school waiting list. Fingers x'd Sienna starts sleeping well at night for you really soon. Must be hard not getting a good night sleep.

Hi to everyone I have missed. I am really struggling today. I went out for the first time last night with friends. I told myself yesterday that I was going to have an early night, be home by 1 am at the latest. Well I got home at 4am drunk, I am so paying for it right now. DH is a work all day & wont be home until 7:30pm I am on struggle street big time, a hangover and kids are not a good mix. I am never drinking again lol, I've said that many times over the years. It was a good night though. We went to Manpower first lol. I had neve been before.

Hi girls,

Sam - lol at your health visit. I've felt like a feral too with Sienna being sick lately coz she's constantly got a snotty dripping nose and the second I go to wipe it, it's like she has a sixth sense and wipes her hand through it a split second before, so yep, snot in the hair has been a regular occurrence round here too, lol

Melissa - to be honest, I'm really not expecting too much from Tresillia, but I'm getting desperate so am willing to try everything!! I really think that Sienna's probs are more to do with her tummy than with sleep issues, if that makes sense, as she seems to be waking up in discomfort, pulling her little legs up to her chest and crying, and she also sleeps much better on her tummy. So now she's better we're giving the lact-free formula another go, I figure it's not soy so it's not going to hurt her even if it's not the answer to our probs. So we'll see how we go...
I'll look for you on Facebook too, I'm usually wasting time on there when Sienna's having her morning sleep.

Boo boo - I hear ya girl!!! Fun times hey....here's hoping our bubbas sort themselves out before we go insane!!

Leigh - lol you poor thing, hangovers are worst at the best of times, let alone when you've got two little ones to look after. I think I've only had a few too many once since having Sienna, and I had to work the next day so it wasn't so bad (I hate my job so I'm usually crabby and fed up at work at the best of times!).
As long as you enjoyed yourself and got a bit of a perve to boot (haven't actually seen Manpower myself, maybe if they had an 'alternative' manpower complete with tatts and piercings I might be more interested  not really into the 'beefcake' look lol)

Kate - I read your post about Bella crying when she leaves your mum and just wanted to give you a big
You poor sausage, it's an emotional time when bub is sick, and going back to work is a huge thing too (even when you love your job!) so take heart that you are doing a great job!! Bella will never love anyone as much as she loves you, and your bond with her will grow stronger everyday (ok now I'm starting to sound like a Hallmark card, but you get my drift).

As for us, we actually had a good night with Sienna last night. She was only up twice, and both times, she was a breeze to resettle. She was still asleep when I left for work at 7.30am this morning, which is just amazing (bet she won't do that tomorrow when I could sleep in with her, lol). The only thing we did differently was to turn off her night light, coz we had been wondering if it was too bright and stopping her from re-settling if she woke (coz she's constantly staring at it when we're trying to get her off to sleep). She's also on 1/2 lact-free, 1/2 normal formula bottles at the moment (to get her used to the taste of lact-free, she's a fussy little bugger when it comes to milk), so hopefully that had something to do with it also. Whatever it was, it was nice to have our bed to ourselves, as we had been bringing Sienna in just to get some sleep!!

Take care chickadees xxx

Hi all

Sorry for the disappearing act. For some reason everytime I go to play on the computer I have an overwhelming urge to throw up. Dont take it personally. Were all good here except I think were having a little sibling rivalry (between my DH and DS). If its not one nagging at me, its the other. DS has been waking alot at night and now sleep wonderfully during the day. Its a shame not all of can live with that routine.

Skye: Is Mia still sick? My SIL said maybe try probiotics with her milk. Hope she's feeling better.

Raven: I almost fell of my chair when I read your post :P And thanks for reminding me to make an app for DS.

Melly: Congrats with the crawling!!! What baby proofing stuff are you going to use? We didnt really do any baby proofing because our cupboards are impossible for me to open let alone our little crawling monkey.

Mini: Good luck with the teething again. And the weight loss. I was doing Wii Fit for a while but it just made me feel bad with the everyday weigh ins. Is the Jillian Michaels one fun? What's involved?

Leigh: Glad you had a good time at Manpower. I want to see their show next time their in Perth. Might even drag "blind" MIL along and see how blind she really is Anyway you deserved a good night out. Sucks about the hangover though.

Hi to everyone I missed. Sorry but I'm a little sleep deprived (just like everyone else )

Wishing all of a deep 12 hour sleep tonight.

She went down for her morning sleep an hour ago and now she is awake, sorry for no personals Ill be back later girls! I have read the thread though xx

Hello, hello, hello, I haven't popped in here for aaaages

Lovely to hear about how you're all going and hugs to those that need a good night's sleep
Congratulations Reborn! Wonderful news
Sammi - Loved your story of you taking your feral DD to the heath center

We're all good here. I've been back at work since DD was 4 months, it was originally just one day a week but it's two days a week now. It's busy but I wouldn't have it any other way - I love my days with the kids and I love my days without them too.

DD's going great, she loves rolling but can only sit for a very short time. She's been doing this hilarious rocking on her hands and knees for a few weeks now. I'm sure one day when our backs are turned she'll take off. She LOVES solids of all kinds, no signs of teeth at all. She is a bit of a random sleeper, some nights are great, others are not so great.

DS is great with her, very gentle and loving. Awwww....

That's all

Hey all, just thought i should pop in. We are all ok. Bec can properly crawl now...when she gets on the carpet, otherwise its commando over the boards. Shes cutting her top teeth and is grizzly as all get up and go. Her nights havent been the most glamourous but hopefully they will settle soon. I have noticed that she likes to sleep on her tummy now.

Skye glad Mia is doing better. Gosh she has beautiful eyes...so mesmorizing

Rach good to hear from you. Love your ticker pic. Reminds me of my 2 girls...the younger one wants to look and smile and the older one always looks away. Glad things are going well for you too.

Sorry about the speeling., am so tired. DH is away on a boys trip, so no rest for me.

Take care

Hey ladies. I've popped in really quickly to ask a question. For those of you who have your bubs in disposibles (sp?) what size are they in? I've had to start putting Jack in walker sized nappies and I'm wondering if he is a freak of nature or if someone else is doing it.

Thanks. I come back later to chat

Hi Reborn, I've just started Lara in cloth but still use disposables for night time and for when we're out and about. She is still in Huggies Crawler size but as soon as she is finished this box that we're using she is going up to the Toddler size. Walker is the size after Toddler isn't it?

everyone else, hope you & all the bubs are well!

Hey reborn, I hve got Bec in the Aldi nappies...they are 7kgs to 16kgs...they are pretty roomy but the next size down is way too small. I they are the larg/toddler size. So nope dont think he is a freak! Hows the pg going?

We are having a crap time. Becs been awake and grizzly most nights. Her top teeth are just joyous! One is through the other looks close. I officially hate teething.

Hello...has been a long time between visits...and I stopped getting the emails so haven't had time to keep up with everyone, just trying to keep up with my two DD.

Willow has two bottom teeth (since about 6mths), top 2 are just about there, is not quite crawling yet but can get from one side of the room to the other in no time flat with a bit of commando action. Still waking through the night for feeds...thought Miss C was late when she didn't sleep through until 6mths now just wishing Miss W would. But she does settle straight back down after a feed. Generally goes to bed around 6.30 and up in the morning at 6.30. Miss C usually comes in anytime from 4.30am and if its a good morning she'll just go back to sleep in our bed. Luckily I can survive on minimal sleep.
Loving her solids, especially mild Indian (!) pureed and served with whole rice grains. Also loves spiral pasta with some bolognaise which she just shovels into her mouth like no tomorrow. Still not keen on the bottle (even EBM) so no sleep throughs for me yet (even if I could convince DH to get up !) But it has meant no AF yet which I'm happy about.

On a sadder note, I lost my 2 beautiful labradors last week. Both were getting on in age, but I hadn't expected them to go just yet. My girl went very suddenly (vet only gave her hours to go) and my old boy had been struggling for a while and medications weren't helping so had to make a very difficult decision to let him go to Rainbow Bridge with his mate. Miss C has asked a few times where they are and i have just said that they are sleeping - she seems to be satisfied with that explanation, don't think she is quite at the stage of grasping the situation yet so feel it better not to say too much.

On the topic of car seats. I moved Miss W to forward facing a couple of weeks ago - she loves being able to see what is going on. She had been trying to sit up whenever I put her in the rear facing seat for a while.

Hope everyone and their bubs are well, those that have been crook/teething etc I hope all is getting better.

Cheers'
Jo

Hey All,

About bed time for me so no personals sorry!!

Bella is finally over her Broncialitis but still has a nasty cough but back to her happy giggling self!!

She has just cut both her top teeth so now has 4!! yay.

Still sleeping 6.30 till 6.30 and then 3 sleeps during the day. Loves sitting up and can do it alone. Not trying to crawl as still hates tummy time but can hold her self up on the couch standing so I have a feeling that she is going to bypass crawling and go straight to walking!!

Loves her solids but still hates lumps! Loves toast with veg mite for breaky tho!

Anyway work day tomorrow (well 6 hrs anyway!) so off to bed!

Hope eveyone is well!!

Oh and we are about to turn Bellas car seat around too as she is to long for it and needs the leg room! She is 76cms!! Also we are in toddle nappies too.. she is nearly 12 kgs so we need them!!

Kate
