Congrats on the tooth Mini and it sucks about the croup. We had to Jack to the hospital the other night and there was a bub there with croup. The cough broke my heart
I dont remember who asked but we've turned our seat around. Jack was screaming in the car otherwise. I think it was because he couldnt see us. I dont know if anyone else has noticed this but Jack is getting REALLY clingy atm. Are any of your kids doing the same?
Anyway he can now crawl but has trouble sitting by himself. Hates sleeping and eats like a hog! How's everyone going?

Reborn na M isnt too clingy but loves her Mumma when she sees her lol. Hope it gets better for you!

Hi Girls, big hugs to sick bubbas and lots of sleepy dreams to those who need them.
Miss B is dragging/crawling with one leg, around the floor like no tomorrow! She gets up on her hands and knees rocking and then slide back on to her belly and drags to what she wants. Is still having 3 sleeps a day and 12 hours overnight, was considering knocking out that last 'nap' at 4/430pm but I have my coffee break then so am keeping it for now Have started having 3 meals a day now and have introduced mince 1 so far and she devoured it!! DH says even Miss B loves his cooking! How often should I be giving her meat, do you think? Also, at what texure are your bubbies having their meals? Miss B's are pureed but not to the point of liquid, it will stick to the spoon but not sure when to move on to mashed etc...
I havent turned Miss B's car seat around even though she can sit and is over 9 kg because it is safer for them to face that way, so the ambo man told me. When she starts cracking up about it I will turn her around.
Am seriously thinking about bub number 2 DH said 'yes', so next year we will be TTC #2, I want to return to work for 12 months before we start again so around August/September 2010 we will start getting serious. Am not sure I would be able to cope with the gap much less than that between the kids and this will be my last pregnancy. Am already thinking of names (I work in a baby area, so comes with the territory) and DH and I cant agree! He likes Amelia (I dont because I dont like nicknames - especially MILLIE!! sounds like a pet name to me) and I like Ava. We both dont mind Olivia, and I can live with Liv or Livvy s nicknames, oh well planty of time to fight about it
Hope you are all good, time to do some washing and vacumming the floor, again!!

Hi!!!
Mini: No I wasnt always Reborn. Used to waiting... and now I'm not I cant believe it wont take long for all our bubs to be crawling confidently and then walking! I dont want ds to grow up so fast!!!!
Zoo: I gave ds mashed up sausage with mashed potato and carrot last night. I see what you mean about the meat!! He loved it. Never even crossed my mind to use mince. As for the pureeing, I've never done it. I didnt even know we had a pureer til dh showed it to me. So all the food ds has had as been mashed. Were thinking of ttc #2 and were looking at names too. So far we've got Charlie and Sophie. BTW my little neice is named Olivia and her nickname is Ollie. Hope that doesnt put you off the name.
AFM ds is having some pro pics done of him today. Hopefully I can figure out how to post them up here. He keeps waking for feeds at night which is slowly killing me. Plus he has 3 naps a day and I'm not game to try and drop any of them. Still clingy but so cute in a baby monkey kind of way |

Hi all,
Get well wishes for all the sick bubbas!!
Sienna is facing forwards in her carseat. We had initially bought the Fisher Price baby capsule (that clicks in and out of the carseat base, and into the pram) and she grew out of that pretty quickly, so once we bought the standard carseat we put it forward straight away. I have heard that it is safer to have bub facing rearwards tho.
Sienna has recovered from her cold, although she still has a lingering cough. Other than that, she has been well. Still crawling backwards, but we have floorboards so there's not a lot of traction. We've just bought one of those big rubber matts to put down so hopefully that will help her get moving.
We actually had five blissful nights where Sienna slept through the whole night from 6ish to 6ish!! Woo hoo!! Unfortunately it was short-lived and we're back to the up-and-down nights. I've been desperately trying to think if I did anything different during those days....ahh who knows!! We're off to the cottage on Friday for some sleep tips so hopefully that will help. During her day sleeps, Sienna only sleeps for 40mins so she's just not re-settling after that first sleep cycle, so fingers crossed that help is on the way!!
Sienna is having three solid meals a day and three bottles. We've cut out the dream feed and the middle of the night feed and she seems to be coping fine. She's certainly not a skinny bubby!! Her food is still fairly pureed, but we're starting to introduce chunkier bits and pieces. She loves munging out on half a banana and chunks of bread.
I think that hubby and I will probably wait awhile before TTC #2. The lack of sleep with Sienna is killing me, and I need some restoration time before the next one!! We're thinking of trying when Sienna is 18m - 2 years old. There have been so many births at my work lately, so many gorgeous babies, so I am feeling very slightly clucky :-)
Take care all!!

Hi Girls,
I totally missed this thread, didn't realise a new one had started Anyhoo I have read all your posts. Hope all you are all doing well, and your bubbas too.
I don't have a lot of time to post at the moment. Will try and BBL for personals. But Lara has started crawling now. She started on the weekend, on DH's b'day of all days so he was stoked. She already has a carpet burn on her knee poor little girl.
Anyway gotta go, talk soon

Hi all, not alot to report here. Bec still has 2 teeth just on the gum line. She still rolling like mad and gets up on hands and knees. We also have floor board but have a big mat for her....problem is she roll onto the boards then tries to get up on all fours and slips! Shes up and down with night sleeps. Some nights she sleeps through...usually 930 til 7, others...well! Shes only been doing one big day sleep though, which is a reall bugger. Am going to try and get her to sleep in the morning as well. Olivia cut out her morning sleep at 10 months, so I think I am seeing a similar pattern.
We have dhs 30th birthday party on the weekend. Have been doing loads of organising. Hope it will turn out ok AM sure it will.
Ok better run/

Hi all!
Going really well here. Mia has 2 teeth now, and is such a happy little thing. She is rocking on all fours and looks like she is nearly ready to crawl. The past week she has been sleeping well, bed at 6.45, feeds at 10.30 and 3, up at 7.30ish.
For those that cut out the night feeds....how did you do it? I tried last night, and held her, she was happy to lie there but when I put her in her cot she screamed. When I gave her her milk she was happy and slept for another few hours....maybe some babies just need the night feeds longer than others?? Id love to cut it out though.
She is self settling really well too, she just started doing it on her own, no CC or anything. Must happen with age!
She is loving her solids and having 3 meals a day....weetbix, yoghurt, mince, pasta, avacado etc. She is also still rear facing in the car, I think someone mentioned it? She is very long, but I think it is safer to keep her rear facing as long as possible....she will need to turn around soon though or she wont fit!
Mini- I looked you up on facebook but couldnt see you...Ill PM you my name...
Sounds like a few are thinking of TTC again soon! Can't say it is on the cards for us ATM!

Hey Skye...got your message and have added you on fb.
I think Olivia didnt really cut out the night feed til.....mmm...almost 2, but like I have said before, she has been a horrid sleeper all the way through. She is improving now but sometimes is up every night. Rebecca is hit and miss with her night feeds. I reckon if she has a late feed, say 1030 ish, she wont have one til the next morning. Its not always the case though. I think some babies like to be fed to sleep. If thats ok with you then I wouldnt worry about it. I think also youll find that the more she eats during the day, the less night feeds she has. They are still on only a small amount of solids. When you start doing the whole 5 feeds...so the 3 mains and morning and arvo tea snacks...I found Liv had less overnight.
Only a few hours til dhs birthday party. I need to get Olivia to have a sleep coz its going to be a late one. She rarely sleeps during the day. I just have to take her for a car ride and I think she will sleep. Bec has just woken up from 3 hours, so better go give her lunch.
Take care

Melissa Hope your DH had a great birthday
Melly glad to hear Sienna has recovered!
Skye WTG at rocking on all 4's
Zoo & Leigh WOW at the crawling. Busy little ones!
GBH for all the mummies being woken up Ruby sleeps through but her brothers don't. I think I've said that before lol. Last night I had a wet bed and a nightmare to contend with!
Reborn you'll have to show us the pics! Put them on photobucket or facebook and share the link
Kate how are those teeth coming along?
Un my news...Ruby is still much the same No teeth yet but dribbling like mad. Rolling and getting about the place pretty fast. She has discovered she can reach back and pull the charger cord out of the macbook and wack the keyboard so feeds are fun, especially when she doesn't let go of my nipple. Seeing as a lot of my online time was happening while I was feeding her I've had to cut back a bit, hence neglecting in here
We haven't turned the seat around yet. She is fine in it rear facing but I think it may have something to do with being able to look at her brothers behind her. We had a station wagon with extra seats in the back. They keep her entertained lol.

Kristie....CONGRATULATIONS....I saw your post in the pregnancy announcements. When are you due? Kind o wanting to be there but not just yest, maybe another 2 or 3 months....
How is everyone? So quiet in here! We are going well. Becs bottom teeth are through. Shes commando crawling...she finds it hard on the floor bords so just pulls herself along, or she goes backwards til she gets to where she wants!
I am just struggling with her day sleeps at the moment. Shes not sleeping much and has as little as an hour during the day. I remember Olivia dropped her morning sleep early, around 8 or 9 months. So just want to get her into a routine so that she can go to bed at a reasonable time at night....last night was 11pm and I am exhausted. So am going to put her down after lunch...if it works and hopefully give her a good 3 hours. Shes not great at self settling, so I have to work on that.
We have had a busy week with dh's 30th birthday. I suprised him with a shark dive at the aquarium. He had no idea until we walked into the shop! I was happy with myself that I kept it secret til then. I went too, I was absolutely crapping my dacks, but had a great time. It was followed by a romantic dinner at the casino, then we picked up the girls from mums house later on.
Just a quick question....I really want to try for a boy next time. Has anyone used the shettles method? Anyone got the book? Should I just go buy it for a read? Any suggestions for a boy?

Hi ladies. Sorry I havent been here in ages. I forgot how crappy pg is at the beginning. We dont know how far along yet but I think about 2months.
Mini: I know how you feel about the short/no sleeps. Ds is starting the no sleep routine. Congrats on the teeth!!! And keeping the secret from dh. Its really hard isnt it And you swam with the sharks?! Geez you are one brave lady. BTW I dont know how to get pg with a boy but good luck for when you start ttc.
Raven: Babies learn really fast dont they. I tried to send an email with ds sitting on my lap and he's such a keyboard hog Atleast he wasnt trying to rip my nipple off at the same time. Good luck with it all.
Skye: It sounds like Mia is doing really well. Your making me jealous.
As for me, ds is being a terror. Sometimes he wants all the solids he can get his hands on and the next he's not interested. There is no pattern in his sleep "routine". And he doesnt sleep through the night anymore. But I think most of that is because we have family staying with us and he's been moved back into our room. Hopefully they will leave today and things will settle down a little. Also HE STARTED CRAWLING!!! Clever little boy!!!
So anyway that's my news. How's eveyone else??

Reborn congratulations
I hope that when the visitors go he will be better! I notice mine are unsettled when we've had people stay. Even visitors for a few hours can mess them up
Melissa I've done a lot of research on the Shettles method. I have faith that it does work (even though my real attempt didn't ie tried for girl and got boy), but the main factor is timing. Without that being right the rest isn't going to be much help Get the book, it explains a lot.
Got an almost crawling girl. She's up on her knees rocking! In celebration I have banned lego and have been confiscating it as I find it about the house. I was OK with the boys and their let it roam free attitude while R was confined to one room. Not any more!
Been having some back and pelvis issues too this week Very sore. I feel like an old bag hobbling about. Not sure how I've done it exactly. I suspect it was lifting a very full washing basket. That'll teach me do do housework |

Hi Ladies
Sorry about being AWOL, had computer problems for a couple of weeks and have just a new lappy yay - was lurking but was on DH's laptop and had to be quick.
Reborn - congrats on your pregnancy - that is fantastic news.
Raven - ouch, you poor thing, hope it doesn't last too long, back pain is horrid. - no more housework for you!
Minimatron - sounds like you had an awesome night for your DH's birthday!
It sounds like we have a mixed bag of bubbas -with some sleeping through the night and some not - we are in the 'some not' category and I am beginning to think it will never happen - we have two to three feeds per night - yay....anyway, what can I say, it won't last forever.
Okay, better go, should try and get an early one in tonight!
Sending lots of sleepy vibes to all the bubbas.
Laurin xxxx

Hi Girls,
Reborn - Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months. Very exciting!!! Have your visitors left yet? Hopefully DS settles down for you once they go. Its hard having people stay & your routine gets a bit thrown out of whack!
Laurin - So good to hear from you. Hopefully Finn will cut out some night feeds for you very soon.
Sam - Sounds like Ruby will be crawling very shortly. Lara has been crawling for 2 wks now & trying to put everything in her mouth along the way. I've really been having to keep an eye on what DD1 spills on the floor or what small toys she leaves around, coz I know it will all go into Lara's mouth. You poor bugger with your back and pelvis, hopefully you're feeling better soon. In the mean time try and offload some of that house work, I wish I could off load mine, its never ending.
Melissa - How exciting that you're TTC soon. Good luck on conceiving a boy. Wish I had some advice but like you I have 2 girls.
I have a really sore throat, I am hoping it doesnt turn into a cold/flu. Lara has flu like symptoms but she is teething as well so might be from that. Will be keeping my eye on her though.
Gotta go, hi to everyone I have missed.

HEy Sam....do you have copy of the book I could either borrow or buy off you?
Hey Laurin and Leigh, hope you are doing well. Hope youre feeling better Leigh and that your getting enough sleep Laurin.
Went to the health nurse today. bec is 8.6kgs and 69cm, going really well. She must be having another growth spurt coz shes been waking at 3 am for the past few nights to polish off about 200mls of milk!
Better go cook....take care
