Arrow Lovely pregnant mummas in sydney

Hello everyone
My name is Keira and I am currently studying with the Australian Doula College to become a qualified Doula. I have completed all of my theory side of my studies and as part of the course I am required to do 3 training births and do CPR training and attent antenatal classes to observe. I have to do 1 more birth but my support is free for you, other than an admin fee paid to the college. So i am looking for a lovely mumma to support to reach my course requirements.

I have had two children of my own, I absolutely love being a doula. Im easy going, open minded and always willing to learn. What else can I say...I am a birth junkie!!!
Overall my aim is to ensure that you have a more positive birthing experience, healthy happy mummas and bubs, partners too

My first DD was a medical induction due to health problems. Through that experience i searched for a way to make a difference and ensure that women had more support than our hospital system provides. I then started my doula training in 2008, this year the universe shined on us again and we had our beautiful second DD at home. Our lovely homebirth was all i could have hoped for, she came into our world with her loving family awaiting her arrival in our own space.

Childbirth is a life changing experience, i believe with extra support, information, advocation, education and love... a more positive childbirth experience is possible.

I am in the St George/Sutherland Shire area but will travel to most places in sydney! if you are looking for someone to support both yourself and your partner and family during the special time please either email me at k.mcevoy@yahoo.com.au and I will get back to you or you could PM me.

love and light
Keira

Hi

Ive just recommenced my doula training with Childbirth International after having my third baby 6mths ago. As part of my course I am required to attend 2-3 births free of charge in order to qualify as a doula.

I am based in South West Sydney. I can travel a bit further away if needed. I am happy to support a birthing mother in hospital, birth centre or home.

I believe your birth experience should be one of the most pivotal and amazing moments of your life. It should only be looked back on with beautiful feelings. I hope through my doula studies and eventual qualification to help couples achieve this; no matter what the circumstances or choices made. I feel women should be fully informed of all possibilities before experiencing birth so that they never have to second guess their instincts or regret choices made for them by others - knowledge is power!

My first two births were hospital inductions; the first due to pre eclampsia and the second was personal choice. My last birth was a midwife-led birth centre spontaneous waterbirth and the perfect ending to an amazing journey. All were drug free active births. I also have personal experience with fertility issues/treatment, miscarriage and pre-term labour.

If you would like someone to support you and your partner during your birth experience then feel free to contact me on roxstarmama@gmail.com or pm me.

I have completed my theory and now just need 3 births . I have 2 young children myself. I would love to be part of peoples pregnancy and birthing experiences. I am happy to do it for nothing or a minimal fee depending on travel.

Just a little bit of background, I am 24 and i am one of 5 children, i have attended all 4 of my sisters births (3 at home), I delivered my son in hospital with minimal (but some) intervention and delivered my daughter blissfully at home . I am passionate about birth, womens choices, advocating for people, being flexible to their wants and needs, health and wellbeing. I have also attended one other hospital birth and accidentally talked someone through a birth over the phone.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Thankyou and take care

Jade
