Red face Anyone with the same problems?

My DH and i have been TTC for just over 2 years. I fell pregnant after 6 months but then miscarried and then didnt fall pregnant for another year and 4months only to miscarry again. I have had multipyl tests and there is nothing wrong with me. My DH is in the process of having some tests done. Im just wondering what happens if it turns out that we are both fine? Is anyone else in that position? Im just over 30 and worried about time. My GP said if all tests are fine i could try Clomid. Seeking anyones advice on this.

Hi Shop Girl,

Sorry to hear of your trouble TTC. I had 5 years of m/c with every test done in that time but when I changed specialists it was discovered that I have Hashimotos, a Thyroid condition that can be subtle and hard to detect- once treated , I was pregnant within 2 months and now have a healthy 1 month old baby at age 44, almost 45.

HTH

Red face Thyroid problems

Thanks for your response. My GP has already tested me for a thyroid condition and my results came back within the normal range, did this happen to you and did you have to have a specific test? Did you have any warning signs that you had a thyroid condition?

Shopgirl,

I had symptoms such as extreme tiredness, depression, feeling cold, a feeling of something stuck in my throat(it was a goitre) and not being able to lose weight despite exercising a lot and eating very low fat meals.

My blood tests came back mainly normal until I went to a reproductive endocrinologist- she re tested me, diagnosed Hashimotos and put me on thyroxine.

My specialist is in Sydney, a bit far for you, but ask to see a RE.
