So who is with me in the TWW? I haven't told anyone we are still trying. When people ask I try and act nonchalant and say "if it happens it happens" because I don't want people to know how desperate I have become.
Today was the day I said I was starting a new diet but I only got as far as buying the new Prevention magazine which features the "Belly Fat Diet" and I read it while I polished off the jelly beans leftover from a party. I know I should be trying to get as healthy as possible but I did that before I got pregnant in April. I had lost 6kg and was feeling really good. Now, two little angels later I feel like "what's the point?" and I have put back about 5kg.
I told my older sister about my miscarriage (she'd heard) and she shared the fact that she had a miscarriage a few weeks before her wedding in 2006. I never knew. It can't have been an easy time for her with all that added stress. She was wearing a dress at her wedding that I was surprised she picked as it wasn't very bridal. It turned out she was wearing the bridesmaids dress. Half an hour before the wedding when she went to put her wedding dress on, the corset type bodice split down the back and had had to come up with a plan B quickly.
These recent pregnancies seem to have thrown my hormones into chaos. I haven't had pimples (decent ones) in over 10 years. Now I have a massive one on my face that . . . TMI . . . burst all over the mirror! What am I, a teenager again?
Sorry I am rabbiting on. I am very bored and all I can think about is babies and there isn't anyone I can talk to. DH is sympathtic but he's heard enough.
Hello to everyone out there. I think I remember Tanya being in the TWW? I'd love to hear how you are doing Kyra if you are still around.

Sammy - Good luck with the 2ww. I hope you get that BFP this month to ease your heart a little. Isnt it amazing how people dont tell you about having a m/c until you say you have had. I tell anyone who asks me about us having a baby as i feel that one day someone in real life will need to talk and they will know i understand.
Im on my way out of the 2ww at 11dpo. A few more days til a/f or testing for me. Was thinking about testing tomorrow but might just wait for a/f to either show or not show this month.

Maddison - testing used to be kind of fun. Now I think I may not test until AF is a week overdue. I will be checking up on you tomorrow, just in case you change your mind.
Coco - ovulation was hard to pinpoint this month due to the recent loss but I think it was Saturday which makes me 4DPO.

I wondered the exact same thing - i saw it on the screen and instantly thought 'oh no TWINS'. The sonographer and the midwife didnt mention a twin. I didnt ask but as i am still feeling curious about it i am going to ask my GP when i see her. The midwife said it was to do with implantation. Something to do with it not implanting - but i dont know if she meant the baby didnt implant there and chose a different spot or there was meant to be another baby implanting and it didnt ?
I'm a bit confused myself !
Hope everyone is well...
I am quietly dying at home and hoping like crazy that people IRL leave me alone (hence my location status)

Hi,
I am new to this forum but I want to share my story and hopefully makes sense of it all. We have been trying for a baby since the end of 2006 and since then I've had 3 miscarriages, all early. I have irregular AF so it is hard to know when I'm ovulating, etc. I have had several tests done, blood tests, laparoscopy and hysterectomy (spelling??), hubby had mobility tests and nothing gives us answers. Anyway to cut a long story short, i've just been prescribed Clomid by my gyno. Has anyone in a similar situation to me been successful using clomid and gone full term? I'm just scared that I'll miscarry again and as all you know, it's not an easy thing to go through.
Also, what do some of the lingo you use mean? Like 2ww, tww, etc.
Thanks for reading.....

Hi Loopylouie
Welcome to the thread, I'm sorry to hear about your losses and I hope you find some support here. I can't help you with the use of clomid but someone else here might be able to. Sorry sweetie, but I'm curious to know what test you had as a hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus which I am sure you didn't have.
2ww or tww stand for "two week wait" which is the painful waiting game of two weeks between ovulation and when you can test to see if you are pregnant. You might find this thread helpful as it explains the common abbreviations. Common Forum Jargon, Abbreviations & Acronyms

Hello
I am new to this website and just wanted to share my story. On August 21st I had a miscarriage. We had been trying since May and thought it would take longer, but when I got the BFP we were so excited!!! I tested positive on saturday August 15th, and by tuesday I started spotting. Went into the doctor and my hcg evels were only at 45. She gave me a sonogram to only discover there was nothing there so my dr told me that I was going through a miscarriage and sure enough on August 21st I started bleeding heavily! This was tough on me and my DH. I finally got the clear today that everything is back to normal! I am anxious to try again and hope that it does not take to long.
All the support given on the forum is awesome!!!

Loopielouie - I was in this thread not too long ago after having a miscarriage last year. I have endo and PCOS and was hardly ever ovulating. After waiting about 10 weeks for Af after my M/C my Gyn had me go on the mini pill for 7 days to induce AF to clear my lining out again and then started clomid 50mgs. I was very lucky it worked first time, I ovulated on day 14 and got my BFP. I am now due in about 5 weeks. For me Clomid has been a wonder drug. All the best Hun!
Maddison - Congrats! Can't wait to see you over in the other thread!!!
baby dust for all you other wonderful ladies!

Welcome Lou and Hearts I am sorry to hear of your losses. I hope you find lots of supprt here. xx
Maddison! YAY For a BFP!! Have a wonderful pregnancy!! xx
Elise, I hope you catch that egg!! I hate waiting to O... so stressful!
Sammy, your poor sister It must have been hard dealing with all of that on her own. I have decided that all of this hiding poregnancy for fear of loss is crazy, we need to support each other and let other women know pregnancy loss is normal, but heartbreaking. It's too hard to cope alone.
3 DPO here.... 1 weeks till edd.... thinking about testing then, cause if I get a BFP it will make that day a little brighter. I have a blessingway to go to on that day too.... *sigh* I'll see how I go.
