Default Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture for Fertility

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if any one has used Chinese medicine and acupuncture to conceive naturally? I have heard lots of success stories where people have combined this while having ivf.

I've just started this treatment and am a little bit skeptical but trying to be open minded at the same time.

love is on the way
Default Hi Grake

I have my first accupuncture appointment next week, we're ttc after 5m/c (I also have a bicornuate uterus). I would love to hear how it works for you... I have had success with accupuncture for other things so I'm hoping we'll get results here too!
Goodluck

I started acupuncture in January to try and sort out my erratic cycles following my miscarriage. It totally helped and my cycles became more regular.

I have started my first IVF cycle just now, but my last cycle, my chart looked beautiful, I ovulated on day 14 and my temps were perfect. I almost didn't do the IVF to see if another month made a difference but my FS and acupuncturist talked me round. Better to do IVF when my body is doing what it should rather than wait for it to maybe do what it should.

I put all of that down to acupuncture because I've been almost 6 years TTC and my cycles have been horrible and my periods really bad. It's all sorted!!

Hope that it works as well for you!

I started going to acupuncture in January and as given a few different herbs to take. It has normalised my periods - I was only getting them every 8 months, now they're monthly. I have had a couple of early losses, so I'm obviously able to get pregnant, but I've not been able to keep a baby yet, so I obviously still need work.

Unfortunately I've had to stop going until I get another job, so all the hard work is probably being unravelled But I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

i had great success with TCM (traditional Chinese medicine)
Saw the TCM practioner in the Jan as i had done 7 IVF cycles with one successful birth and a m/c . I had being trying to get pg for 10 years. Had tried heaps of other things in between. He said it would take 6 months to work. In June, I got a BFP whilst waiting for my AF to start so we could start IVF again!! Our beautiful son was born 9 months later- i definately think it worth giving a go!!

I worked for us - when nothing else did!!!

good luck

Hey ShopGirl

I know of someone who is near Brisbane, I have only started going to her myself so I can't give a success story yet but she is nice and does apparently specialise in these things.

I'm not sure I am allowed to put her name on here? So let me know if you want me to PM you

I want to do the herbs too! but I am on thyroxine and I can't do both. Hopefully next time I see the doc my TSH level is enough so I can go off it and try the herbs instead! My doctor is pretty good about natural therapies etc. At the moment the acupuncturist is just trying to regulate my cycles.

Would love to hear more success stories re acupuncture

Just wondering Grake if you think the chinese medicine worked. I am going to enquire into it this week after reading some herbs can help with blocked tubes. Also what can I expect to pay? I have no idea.
