Default Wrote this for Milana - what do you think?

Hi all,

Wasn't sure where to post this, just wrote this in memory of Milana, wanted the poem to start with the initials from her name. Planning on using an illustrated font for the first letters in each line and then adding a few pretty gifs and stuff, so I can frame it.
Not sure if it sounds right though, what do you think. I wrote it while I was sat in Emergency with my 4 year old the other night.

MILANA MATILDA ROSE

My dreams came true, I was pregnant with you,
I planned out your life, our special moments.
Life was going to be perfect, as our family grew,
Always in my thoughts, each day and night.
New hopes and dreams, that I planned to come true,
Age was going to be, each milestone met.

Minutes were so short, when the time came,
Age was not met, it was given away.
Time ran so slow, the rush around us seemed to gain,
I prayed you would be well, that we would meet soon.
Losing you wasn't real, you were for keeps,
Did life have to be cruel, could there be so much pain.
A new world without you, it was not meant to be.

Reason escapes me, but you are with me each day,
Only in my heart not my arms, as it should be.
Special memories of my precious daughter, is the only way,
Eternally my beautiful butterfly, fly free in my thoughts.

Any ideas for bits that don't sound quite right appreciated,
