I've got a black one, which is great (although I don't use it as much as I should) - DH bought it for me a few Christmases ago and he got a fancy new cricket bat for the same amount (he gets a lot more enjoyment from my present than I get from his!! lol)
Bath, mine came from Peter's of Kensington, no problems with it. Mine came with a special where I got two bowls which is handy.

I will have to wait and see on the yellow It is called Majestic Yellow in the printed brochure I have and it is not quite as mellow as I would really like. I am sure I saw a yellow one at a local store and I remember liking it. It is so hard to work out colours. Take Cinnamon, on the website I bought from it looked almost purple, but in the brochure it is a red brown and on the KA website it looks quite red. Oh well I will just have to happy with it regardless of the shade of yellow. I have looked more at the pistachio colour and I do now think that is was a bit too pale.
I wondered about 2 bowls. I suppose I will see how I go and go to the local store for any accessories.

The yellow looks really nice Astrid! Though I think the Pistachio looks cool and retro-like, as does the cream a bit.

| | It's here The yellow is just right, a bit paler than the catalogue, it is a retro shade. Got a free calander with recipes in the box, the first recipe is a pav, exactly what I wanted to make this Christmas. Miss 3 seems very excited by it for some reason. Just watching the DVD now.
Now, where on earth do I store all the bits Time to clear out some cupboards.

| | Enjoy your mixer Astrid! I'll keep on dreaming for a bit longer... I'm starting to consider the almond cream coloured one now... I have a retro looking blender in aqua that would clash with the pistachio green tone... oh the decisions! Let us know how it performs... I could read about it all day! LOL

That should compliment quite well.
I asked DH originally what colour he wanted and he did not care. Well he saw the orange one and thought that looked good That was my third colour choice.

Pink would go nicely but I'm not an overly pinkish kinda gal LOL... my current kitchen has lots of pale yellow... but my kitchen radio (pictured in my photo gallery) is cream bakelite and the colour is growing on me.... very versatile. My style (wherever I live) will always be retro... specifically 1950's.... and the mixer will have to last a lifetime. I only expect about 10 years from the blender... imagine how hard it will be choosing the colour of my retro fridge!!!
Are you considering the ice cream making attachment Astrid?

One day, we need the chest freezer first. I think from now on I will be asking for money to go to my Kitchenaid attachment fund DH is half watching the DVD as well, he keeps on asking which bits we have. He has already said we do need to get more and we have not even used it yet.

Thats so funny. Boys and toys... even if its for the kitchen
The ice cream attachment is good, we store ours in the freezer all the time that way if I get the urge to make ice cream its always ready.
If you can invest the KA cookbook as it gives you some really good ideas on how to use your mixer.

Astrid, that's so exciting! I hope you enjoy it, and make sure you share your success with us
Oh you girls are so bad! I really think I'm going to ask for one for my 30th (in 16 months LOL). I can't wait already Definitely want the ice cream attachment, and extra bowl. But then, I'll probably want the extra everything!
Cai, I'm curious, how do you manage to use it almost every day? I would love to think that I would use it that much, but I'm struggling to see how. If you give me some tips, I'm sure I'll manage to find a way

I make biscuits, rolls, use it to mash potato, meringues, mayonnaise, pancake mix on weekends, ice cream, grating, slicing, mincing (I make my own mince with good cuts that are on special) ummmm I'm not sure but it gets a work out at least every day to every 2 days
