Default Respisense Breathing / Movement Alarm & running two monitors at the same time??

Hi guys, couple of Breathing monitor questions.
1. Just wondering if anyone has used the Respisense breathing monitor yet, and if so what did you think of it?

2. Also does anyone run more than one monitor in their house, ie. a breathing or sound monitor for the new born and a normal sound monitor for the toddler?

I'm hoping to get some sort of breathing / movement monitior for bubs due in October but i'm worried about having problems between our TOMY monitor and other types of monitors. I like the idea of the Respisense as i can use it anywhere but i'm worried that its not as reliable as the conventional types and i can't seem to find many reviews on the net.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't used that brand, but we did have two angelcare monitors going at the same time for a while. It worked fine - there are two channels on the monitor, so we had one set to channel a and one set to channel b. With both going we needed two receivers, but when only one was going at a time we could use one receiver for either monitor by setting it to 'a' or 'b' as necessary.

Hi Mimi's Mum,

I first used a Respisense about 21 months ago when my oldest son was born. I used it for about 10 months, and thought it was fantastic. I am now using one with my second little boy, who was born last Saturday, so it obviously has my vote!

One of the big things we found, was to make sure that it was placed correctly on the nappy, otherwise it wouldn't sense movement properly and we had a couple of false alarms. But we figured that was better than some of the stories we had heard from friends about their Angelcare - if the washing machine or the fan was on, then it wouldn't alarm, even if their baby was in the cot and the monitor on!

I would highly recommend that you get a Respisense.
