| | Pregnant after miscarriage - no periods
Hi Ladies,
Sorry to ask this question, but I just wanted to know if there was anyone out there in the same situation as me. Have any of you ladies been trying to have a baby for a couple of years and finally got pregnant (wheather with IVF or not) and then had a miscarriage and fell pregnant straight after the miscarriage natuarally without getting your periods.
I am asking because I have been on IVF for a while now and also hubby and I have been trying to fall pregnant for about 2 years, have had 3 IVF treatments and I did get pregnant on the 3rd go, but it ended up in a miscarriage. I have stopped bleeding and am hubby and I are trying naturally this month before we go to IVF again next month, and I know I shouldn't get my hopes up high, but just wanted to get some positive energy so I know that there is still hope.
Any help or information will be appreciated.
Thanks & kind regards,

I tested positive yesterday in my 5th cycle after a m/c earlier this year. It is possible to conceive in the first cycle, but I haven't seen it happen very much, it's usually like 2, 3 or 4 cycles for most ladies from what I've witnessed in the TTCAM&L threads. One thing I do know is that after a loss we tend to imagine we are pregnant at any little sign of pregnancy, but the only reliable one is a positive HPT. I hope your TTC journey this time around is a short one.

Hi Max,
A very good friend of mine tried for 6 years naturally with no luck. She then spent 3 years doing IVF and concieved 2 children this way. She was thinking about having a third so made an appointment for the FS to do IVF again but two weeks after making the appointment, she found out she was pregnant - NATURALLY!! Needless to say, she was very shocked but also very proud of herself and what her body had achieved. She carried the baby to term and she is now a very happy 3 year old.
Hope this gives you some positive vibes
good luck
Hugs

Hi Max
Yes, i conceived right after a m/c, before my period came back. I lost my first bubba 15.5 weeks ago (missed m/c we found at the NT scan) and I'll be 14 weeks pregnant tomorrow. There are lots of theories out there, but i have read a few times that you're much more fertile for the first few cycles after a m/c.
Good luck,
Claire

I fell pregnant after a missed miscarriage without getting AF back. I had a d&c on Dec 14th and then fell preg around Jan 3rd. It was quite a surprise as we werent really trying, just waiting for AF to come back, and didnt think I was ovulating either.
So it is enitrely possible.
For what its worth my son is now 11mths old
Good luck!

Hi Dawnee,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss also...I only bleed for about 5 days, and then everything was back to normal. My pregnancy was an IVF pregnancy, so the clinic took blood tests to see if my HCG had gone down and they were back to normal within the first week.
Today, I have been on another blood test, so the clinic could check my hormones are back to where it should be after ovulation, so I can start my 4th IVF cycle. Finger and toes crossed, that it will work this time around...or even better...hopefully I am pregnant at the moment, so don't have to start with IVF again, as hubby and I have been trying this month while we were waiting to start IVF.
Wish you all the best...I hope that you fall pregnant soon also...
xx
Max
