Default Clomid after Recurrent Miscarriages

Hi everyone,

I have had 3 miscarriages since August 2007, the lastest being October 08 and all were in the 1st trimester. We have had tests done and all have come back normal. My cycles are irregular, from 30 days to nearly 70 days. My gyno has just prescibed me Clomid with the hope that it will help me fall pregnant.

But my question is will clomid reduce the likelyhood of a m/c?

I have posted a similar post on another thread so sorry to those who have already read this.

Clomid will not stop recurrent miscarriage I am afraid my love...

It will however help to normalise the luteal phase of your cycle if it is short. Some early miscarriages are due to a short luteal phase - thus making the hormonal picture more unfavourable for pregnancy.

I was on clomid for 4 pregnancies. On the fourth time I got pregnant with my living Miracle Imogen. I feel blessed every day that she is here with me. I understand well the pain of recurrent loss. I hope that your forever baby comes soon darling woman... xxx

Hi there

I'm so sorry about your miscarriages.I can't help with the clomid bit, but wanted to let you know that I had 3 (possibly 5) miscarriages over 15 months, anywhere from 5wks to 12 wks. I had all tests and they came back fine. I now have a beautiful 6 month old son, so hang in there, it will happen for you...best wishes and goodluck.
