Default Early Scan Today - 2 Sacs but............

Hi There,
Well we are 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant and it was all going well until last night. Just before I got to bet I spotted pink/red and just thought this is it...all over rover! So after a sleepless night I rang my Dr and he suggested a scan this morning. We were so nervous as this is the biggest hurdle that we have not ever been able to get over.
When we had the scan it showed.......2 sacs!! One with a gorgeous little one with a HB 130 and the other one wasn't not as great, very hard to see and the Dr couldnt rule out whether it was a viable baby or not. So we have another scan on Friday, so hopefully all will be better then and our other baby has time to get its act into gear
We are over the moon
Has anyone else been in this situation? And what has been the outcome?
Would love to hear all your journeys with twin pregnancy and u/s
T

I'm sure the HB isn't always there so early & twins can develope at slightly different rates.
Good luck on Friday xx

Hi Poppi,
Big congratulations, that is so exciting. 6w2d is very early, and still too early sometimes to check for heart beat. We had our first scan at 5 weeks which showed 2 sacs, the second scan at 6w5d, which showed two heartbeats, I so hope you see the same. I have heard it depends on the position as to whether your FS can pick up heartbeat at this early stage. Your hcg levels are great, so you are in with a really good chance. Sending you all the best and will have my fingers crossed for you for scan on Friday .

Hi Poppi

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and sending you lots of stickyvibes

I also had an early scan at 7 weeks due to very bad ms and my Ob thought I might be carrying twins. On the ultrasound there were two heartbeats and two sacks but one looked small and dodgy. They didn't know what would happen so I went back for another scan a week later and unfortunately the little sac had disapeared. The bubs that hung around is now my beautiful 6 yo DD so we are just very grateful she was healthy. We still think about our little one that didn't make it and one day we'll tell DD she had a twin...

I hope your scan goes well and you get great news!

In difficult situations you have three choices: be a carrot, egg or coffee bean. In hot water; the carrot goes soft, they give up; the egg goes hard, they loose their soft side;
but the coffee bean makes coffee, they change the situation they're in.

Poppihome, do you have any news from your second scan?

I'm in a similar situation with my first scan next week. I had two embryos transferred during a FET cycle and got the postitve blood test two weeks ago.

I'm very interested to hear how you are going...
