NNOOOOOO! Smithy I demand you get better so you can enjoy this time! oh you poor thing, i hope you get some recess from feeling so unwell. hugs for you love.
hi Mahli - so glad you dropped by again! and i likey kennedie for a girl. good on you for staying strong and not finding out... do you have a preference apart from healthy and human? I hope your boss pulls her head in too. is it cos you're leaving she's being a cow or is she just a joy to work wth all the time? glad your DH felt the bubs, it's soo much fun when they touch your belly... they sooo want to be part of it all i kinda feel bad my DH can't feel what i feel iykwim. lol.
Jen - that baby shower sounds like it was just lovely! the best things work out when unplanned and i am LOVING your special 9/9/9 dates. Good luck, i hope you can hold out til then, but i'm sure if they showed up a day or two early you'll forgive them! lol. And I can compltely understand your friend forgetting her favorite albeit fairly common name for a few weeks lol. but that is pretty funny! I forgot the word 'soil' the other day at work... my boss now thinks i'm a complete idiot (in a nice way) and i got teased by the whole office hmmm
Hey Neptune - i'm most glad to hear there's progress on the home front. whatever the outcome, you've got to respect him for the real effort he is obviously putting in for you and bub hun. hope you are giving him lots of kisses in support and hope your week flies by and you finish up. I've only got about 7 weeks left, am leaving at 34 and I wish i was leaving now! lol. So i am hearing you about overstaying your welcome. just take care of yourself love oxox
hi saph - oh lovely. hope you are feeling better. watch anything good?
hi greenslw, muprh, mels, missmapgie, bdt, redidris, boc, kellyd, and Azz - hope you are keeping well also love.
AFM - well, home freaking sick AGAIN! this time it's just a cold but i'm am peeved off at people going to work when they are sick, coughing and spluttering everywhere and making me sick! At least i can work from home today tho so don't have to claim it as a sick day bbrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhfddhfhkjsagaeslhg
sorry just really really cranky about it all. had been feeling so well after swine flu and even swimming and walking like a good preggy lady. apart from that, DH is looking at upgrading my vehicle for me. so i'm pretty excited about that, in a snotty, snuffling, headachey kind of way
Hope everyone gets better and stays well. Look how far along we all are! I'm 26 weeks! i swear it was just last week i was stressing about making the magic 12!!!
oxoxo

Congrats Mel... hope you recover soon... though I would imagine you will forget the labour pain very soon. I now only recall being in so much pain but can't seem to recall the actual pain.. isn't that amazing.
To everyone else, I hope you are doing well... sorry haven't really been following people's progress as well as I should.

WHOO HOO Mels, the biggest congratulations on the birth of your new baby boy Zach, love the name, glad to hear all is well and look forward to more details xx
Jenc, good luck for Wed, absolutely love the date, I hope all goes well.
Mahli, thanks for your advice, I have just bought Cenesten, Yakult and a probiotic after extensive googling , though nothing smelly (sorry TMI ) it is a bit darker (yellowy almost) and definitely clumpy like they describe, so am assuming it is thrush. Fingers crossed it clears up.
Grub, congrats on 26 weeks YAY! so sorry to hear you are sick, take care.
Smithy, you poor love, hope that ms goes soon, and GL for this week, how exciting to find out pink or blue!
Neptune, so glad mat leave is upon you and glad to hear things are progressing at home. Your baby shower sounds like it was divine.
Saph, hope you are feeling better soon.
Greenslw, hope you are well and your dramas at work are settling down.
Murph, lucky you to be loosing weight off your thighs , but sorry to hear you are getting all the pregnancy problems at once, you are on the home stretch now, not long to go.
Hi to everyone else.
I am on the edge of my seat excited about my scan tomorrow, will be back in then when we know if it is pink or blue or both .
Lots of love xx

Hi Everybody!
Mels: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! on the safe arrival of little Zach! Hope you enjoy your Babymoon and glad to hear the induction was only yesterday rather than days of labour! Quote:
Originally Posted by Mahli09 I have downloaded the coolest app for my iphone about pregnancy - totally reccomend it! Mahli | Hey Mahli, is that iPregnancy? I have that one, totally AWESOME! I check it every day, can't help myself! Also available for iPhones are kick counters and a handy little contraction counter too for when you go into labour. You tap the screen each contraction it records the time and duration and stores the past 5 contractions so you can see how far apart they are. Love the names by the way.
Smithy: You poor love, you really need a break don't you! Hope you get a break from it soon. Now Charlie, listen to Aunty BOC, Behave or else you will be grounded until you are 30!
Grub: So sorry you are freaking sick again . I'm with you, I HATE people who come to work sick and spread it. I had a boss that used to do it all the time and I have always had a low immune system. I would get really sick too and she would give me a hard time about taking time off and say I was faking it to prove a point. How exciting about a new car! What are you looking at? I'm so glad before we TTC I insisted our last car bought was a Mitsubishi Outlander (I had a Corolla) cause now I don't have to worry about boot space or anything. Hope you feel better soon chick.
Neptune: YAY! Glad to see Project De-clutter has commenced. It's good to see he's making an effort. He obviously loves you very much and is trying his hardest for you & bub.
Jen: Good luck for 09/09/09 at 9! I hope the doctors get their acts together so it all pans out for you. to everyone else I've missed. Hope you're all away nicely.
AFM: Nothing much to report. Still feeling very random but feeling lucky that I've not had the full-blown MS. Went shopping on the weekend (yep.. AGAIN! I think I may have a problem...) I have both a wedding AND a christening this weekend and when I tried on all my dressier outfits none of them would fit over my belly so I went to Target and got a couple of gorgeous maxi dresses that can be dressed up with nice shoes and jewellery. They're a little loose too so should last me through summer YAY!
Hope everyone is feeling good and keep up the good posting!

Hi Everyone
O.k where to start..... Congrats Mel on the safe arrival of Zach. Another boy to add to our ever expanding blue list.
Jen: Hope all goes to plan on Wednesday and that your boys arrival safe and healthy. Tell you doctors that you the first one delivered at 9.00 and the other at 9.09 just to keep the theme going.
Murph: I felt like such a goose reading your recent post. Maybe not the Guardian Angel you would want.... Sorry for putting my foot in it...
Smithy: oh no about MS, has the Dr given you something to help as you have been sick for ages???
Grub: Bummer about having a cold, do people not realise that pg women are more likely to catch any germs floating around...
BOC: Yay on choosing names already, you are so organised. Gotta love a reason to go shopping. I haven't really bought a lot of Maternity type clothing this whole time, just been getting a size bigger in normal clothes as I know I will still be wearing them for a little bit after bubs arrives.
BDT: Can't wait to find out if you are pink, blue or both... Please add some pink to this very blue thread. What with MHB and Mels boys arriving and Jens to come on Wednesday I'm feeling pretty lonely and I'm sure Murph is as well with us so far representing the XX side of things.
Mahli: Good to see you again. Wow time seems to have flown by now that you are passed the 21 week mark. Hope you little bundle is playing nicely for you.
Neptune: I'm so happy for you that you can see movement in the "Operation Clearout" hopefully you will have a beautiful nursery all set up very soon. And congrats on getting this far at work, I don't think I could have coped working up to 34 weeks (which would have been this friday). I haven't worked for 14 weeks now and am thankful that I was lucky enough to be able to leave so early.
Saph: Sorry to hear you ended up in hossy. I hope you are on the mend and feeling better.
Greenslw: Hope the "children" oh sorry I mean adults pull there heads in soon for you.... Hello pregnant women... hormones.....
Miss M: Too bad about your "Pies" on the weekend. My DH is a pies supporter and he has full on cracked it now as he is sure there is no way the will beat the Crows next week. I sit quietly as my "Cats" made another prelim and say nothing......
If I missed anyone, a big hello to you all.
AFM: OB appt on Wednesday and c/s date will be booked. I think worse case scenario I have 38 days left, but could be 36 or 37 which will be such a relief. Baby is so low now that if she got any lower her head would be hanging between my legs and lower back pain has really kicked in as well.... And lets not mention the Braxton Hicks, nothing better than walking around the supermarket gettting a contraction and baby deciding that she might have a stretch and roll around at the same time... Just doesn't work... MIL at our house for another 2 days, so trying to be a gracious host, but it is hard work when all I want to do is sloth around the house IYKWIM.

Mels - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear more about it. Enjoy your special time with your little Zach. I totally agree with all the other ladies - gorgeous name!
To all you gorgeous things feeling poorly - I'm wishing you better!! Pls take care of yourselves.
And to those of you with scans coming up - can't wait to hear if yours are pink or blue!!! How exciting
Kel - sounds like you are AT THE END!! rest rest rest rest. tell mil to wait on you!!! if all else fails say you're feeling too uncomfortable and poorly to get out of bed and would she mind bringing you a cuppa and turning down the lights. hee hee
AFM, well, I have a TIME!! 8.30am is when I'm being wheeled in! So we'll see how close we get to 9.00 and 9.09. wouldn't that be hilarious! Had another scan today and it showed that the blood flow impairment to the placenta is getting worse, and the resistance is intermittently absent, so def need to have delivery soon. I am very very excited about meeting these little mites.
Hi to everyone else - hope you're all baking nicely.
If I can't check in tomorrow, I will be back as soon as I can with some exciting news!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big kisses to all of you - I couldn't have got this far without your support
Jenxxxx

hi everyone!
first congrats mel!
and welcome to the newbies!!! sorry i wont get to know you!!!
just a quick update from me!
i had the worst birth experience! it was the worst and best day of my life! bubs had the cord around his neck which we didnt know until he was taken out via the c section also needing forceps and this is y he would not engage and my induction failed. so, in the end it was for the best! i didnt see him for hours he went to special care coz he wasnt breathing well and bsl was very low but then they brought this little pink thing in next to me! he may have to go back though as he has lost half a kilo in a week, he did put on 55grams since sunday though so i have to feed him top up formula. will do my birth story next week, still pretty sore but getting there! i miss being pregnant and still cry about not having a vaginal birth but i will get over it! newborns are hardwork!!!!!! i will miss it in here and wont be in here for about another 5 years, thats if my TTC journey is just as difficult as last time! thanks heaps girls! i will pop in time to time to check up on you all!

Hi everyone,
Just dropping in quickly.
M+H+B big congratulations, sorry to hear you had a few dramas but so glad all is well now, looking forward to hearing more.
Good luck tomorrow Jenc
Hi to everyone else.
AFM, we had a scan today. Looks like we might be adding that extra PINK that has been missing. The sonographer is guessing Baby 1 is 90% Girl, and Baby 2 is 70% Girl, though she did not get a very good look at all at the nubby for Baby 2 at all. DH is in shock, being Greek he was so hoping for a boy to carry on the family name etc. Will take him a while to get used to.
Me, I guess I was really hoping for a Boy/Girl, but what is really dissapointing me is the reaction that I am getting from family and a few friends. Talked to my mum on the phone and she sounded like she was almost crying in dissapointment. One friend just texted me back, "ha ha, Karma works in funny ways, better get a shot gun", I guess in response to DH shock. A bit mean of them I think. Like we have lost out or are second rate if it is 2 girls. I don't think I even got a congrats that they were still in there and alive and kicking and looking to be healthy etc etc. Anyway, we see OB next Tue for another scan so I guess that will either confirm or not today's scan. Though I don't think I will be rushing out quite yet to buy all things pink until the 19 week scan, just to be sure.
Love to all xx

MHB so sorry to hear your birth experience didn't go to plan for you but in the end you have your beautiful boy to help ease the dissappointment.
BDT: Well I for 1 am so happy that you are joining the PINK brigade. I think all DH's want boys (something about proving themselves I think) but really girls always turn out to be daddy's girls anyway. I think my DH wanted a boy but now he is having a little princess I don't think he is really dissappointed after all the pain, suffering and turmoil we all go through to get our precious bundles. As for people and "Karma" not all boys grow up to be angels as well, it is all about how we bring up our children to be kind and considerate people and just wait until you feel 100% confident to start buying all the pretty pink things around. I made special efforts to find clothes that had slogans like "I'm a daddy's girl" just to make it more real for DH. Give it time and I'm sure you will find that he will warm to the idea knowing that he helped to create those precious babies no matter what they are.
