Hi girls - just wanted to introduce myself - have been on the assisted with clomid site for a while.

Well I have received a BFP finally. I am still in shock I think I was concentrating so much on the getting a BFP, I didn't think what would happen after I did. Anyway, still early stages, so will get more confident as I go along.

Hello Baby Dreamtime,
so sorry we almost lost you through what I think is a bit of a misunderstanding honey. In trying to understand where you may have felt upset I thought maybe it seemed rude to be asked if you had one or two embryos transferred. Firstly I don't think that anyone who is in this forum wishes anything but the very vest for every one of us that has made it here (or is yet to make it)and whether we have one sticky bub or two, we are supremely happy that we have a pregnancy. I think we ask about whether you had two transferred so we know about your individual case. Many of us (including me) had two transferred and I don't feel anything but complete happiness that out of two embies, I got a beautiful baby girl. It's wonderful and exciting hearing about everyone's blessings, be it one or two, so please don't mistake our questions as meaning to insult. I don't think I asked you, but may have asked azz or other girls the two or one emby transfer question because I'm such a dope I'm still learning about what it takes to have identical twins and that one embryo splits. I think we just ask in order to see if your one emby split and will possibly be identical or whether your two came from two. Whatever you do, I have yet to come across a negatively conceived comment since being on this forum and find it the best bunch of caring girls so please stick with us even if we somehow offend you. Email is not always the clearest form of communication, and I often feel that I have been too blunt or left someone important out but we try and I know that there are days when we can't concentrate on our own lives for worrying about one of our BB mates is going through. It is sad that you have felt hurt, but good on you for confronting it. I hope we only move forward and you feel welcome to talk any time.

P.S I will update your details with your two little blessings Sorry I think I made a cutting and pasting error and put you down as only one.

31becc, Congratulations and welcome! Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy.

BDT, what an awesome catch up with everyone! Your SIL did so well to get to 35 wks with triplets. It's so good to hear stories of little ones that come early but are still healthy. Your twins will have lots of cousins to play with at family get-togethers.. how exciting! My fingers are crossed you end up with a pink and blue bundle. Hope you have been feeling well.

Azzrenae, haven't joined MBA yet but I did send off an expression of interest form to our local MBA and they sent me back some of their newsletters and a membership application. I do plan on joining. Nest Wednesday will be here before you know it.. It's nice having something to keep counting down towards.

Kelly, love the name Rose.. GL narrowing down your first name list. Enjoy your 4D scan tomorrow. I'm sure you'll get some amazing pics.

Saph, you sound like wonder woman... a young son, back at work, starting a new course and coping with MS!! Hope the MS goes soon for you.

Hi to all the other ladies!

AFM, ob appt today. A bit of protein in urine but BP is ok. Apparently protein can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Need to be re-checked on Wednesday and have some blood tests done too. Here's hoping everything is normal on Wednesday... Ob is happy with everything else. Growth scan this Friday. Will update when I know more.

BDT - I hope you are feeling better and more supported now that you have let us all know of you feelings. I am so pleased for your twin bundles. I can only keep my fingers crossed for both pink and blue. Will you find out? I can understand that you may have taken things that I have said personally for me I did not want twins as I have only ever wanted two kids. But I guess you have no control over these things and you are so blessed.

AFm dry reching this morning and now nothing. But I am completely mortified I think I need to go and buy maternity pants and I am only 9 weeks. But come the afternoon my jeans are to tight and making me very uncomfotable. This is not ment to happen yet.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi fellow mummies in waiting I'd also like to introduce myself.

I am very pleased to be able to join this thread. Our journey is similar to others. I have endo, one ovary and endo in my remaining ovary. After 4 IVF cycles and 1 FET last year we finally had DS. A few months ago we thought that we would give it one more attempt and use the 2 frozenblasties in storage. We had no expectations as the charts showed we had a 10% chance due to my age. Hence we were relaxed about it as were already blessed. So when the nurse rang with a BFP I was in utter shock. DH was stunned. We are still in early stages and I will relax once we've seen that first scan.

I look forward to joining you in this thread.

Take care everyone

Hi Girls!

Wow. I cant even BELIEVE I am here!

I got my bfp today. HCG levels at 450, ET was 2 weeks ago today. Because the level is quite high, apparently twins are on the cards? Anyone know about that, cos I dont have a clue lol.

So, it is my 3rd cycle (fresh) and I had 2 day 3 embybabies transfered.

I am seriously IN SHOCK as it feels as if AF is about to pounce at any moment. No spotting though. (phew and fingers/toes/everything is crossed)

Well, thats me. Its so lovely to see all the gals I have suffered through the insanity of the 2ww with in the past

Hugs to everyone!

Sammie

Hear hear! BDT, you are perfectly entitled to feel blessed. This LTTC business is a sticky tricky road and everyone reacts differently. I'm glad you could tell us all how you've been feeling too - that's what this support thing is all about

And the names you have chosen are lovely lovely!

AFM, well had ob appt today and I am measuring 32 weeks, which is what is to be expected at this stage of twin preg. So everything is perfectly on track. Next time some annoying biddy stops me in the shops to ask sweetly about my baby only to turn into "lecture her on eating because she's obviously starving her unborn babies" when she finds out it's two, I give myself permission to just walk away!!

Hope all you lovely ladies are doing well - sorry I can't do personals now - I'm so tired and I think my brain has exploded for the day.

Jenx

Murph Thank you for your kind words BB has been such a help to me although being a Social Worker I'd still rather you all in my kitchen for a cuppa than on the PC but PC is better than not at all. Hope you're feeling better, enjoy your nappying. Oh my Nightclubbing would be hard work. I had a big giggle at woolies, my mental Health nurse friend says the same thing when she has enough of her job.

Theresep, I've still got my fingers crossed for you How's things today?

Hi Smithy wow week 10+ already

Jenc how did the ob app go?

Kaydee Millie isn't too bad but Gurtie isn't happening can't believe what makes the top 100. Goodluck for Wed.

Oh Kelly how did 4D go, I think they are amazing.

Baby Dreamtine, I really like your names and it's so nice that they mean something too you as well. Hope you are feeling welcome now

Azzrenae goodluck for wednesday

Welcome 31Becc Congratualtions

Saph oh it may be time for comphy pants. My jeans have bean shelved since week 1

Welcome babydreams congrats

Welcome sammiejam Congrats

ATM I chickened out, I didn't tell my boss. She was very over the top emotional with some other work stuff so I kept quiet I'm so sick of staying quiet. I've made an app with the exec manager to have a chat next Thursday she's less emotional and I think this may be the easier way around it. Then she can help me tell my boss. Yep I'm a chicken!

sammiejam, bec and babydreams! big congrats girls. and now a whole new set of worries and stresses begin but my best advice to you is to enjoy this moment and what you've achieved. this is a time for happiness and cautious optimism take care of yourselves. As for levels, one of the other ladies with twins may be able to help you. but i do know that they are supposed to double every few days for the first 10 or 12 weeks (i think).

just a few persies....

jenC - you walk away girlfriend. i'd say run but that would probably look a bit funny lol. i've got rather a big mouth on me and quite often my foot is in it, so I can just imagine what a tired, uncomfortable, cranky Grub will say to that sort of thing. hmmmm. oh you are on the home run! lucky bugger lol.

hi saph- i was in maternity clothes by 11weeks and this is my first! apparently with number 2 you show earlier. so buy up lol. big dub in our town had a sale recently so i got a heap of shirts for $10 each

hi kaydee - i hope it all goes well tomorrow and of course Friday! really really hope you don't hav PreEc

i gotta go to work but wanted to say BDT welcome back! sorry you were upset at some comments. I'm not really sure what you are referring to exactly but i'm sorry you felt targetted. I must admit i was surprised to read your post cos i've always found this thread so positive and that's why i keep coming back (even dropped my due date thread in favour of this one).

But i'm so glad you let us know and told us... i think alot can get lost in translation in posting.

anyhoo, thanks for the info on your SIL. We won't be moving for 18mths so i might grab that email off you a bit closer to our leave date it's so lovely of you to offer. i'm from FNQ so i'm really looking forward to heading back to Normal Australia, oh sorry northern australia lol. you know, where there is such a thing as humidity and cheerios are small sausages not a cereal - but that's a whole other thread.

afm on the countdown to thursday's 20week scan... pink? blue? i'm really sorry to say this but i have an inkling it may be blue... BUT i reserve the right to be wrong! lol.

oxoxo
gotta go to workk... eeeke late

Welcome Sammiejam and Babydreams Congratulations and best wishes for your pregnancies.

Sammiejam, my hcg level was 271, 2 weeks after transfer. Are you booked in for an early scan?

Jen, so glad your appt went well. Awesome news your boys are measuring on track. It will help ease your mind and give you confidence when dealing with opinionated people when out and about.

Grub, thanks for the good wishes. Your blue inkling would certainly add to the blue flavour around here at the moment!

Greenslw, it's hard to find the right moment to tell your boss. Hopefully by talking to your exec manager 1st it will make the big boss a bit easier for you. Saftey in numbers, I say!

Hi everyone, thanks for welcoming me back, I seriously didn't want to make a big deal about it, just wanted to get it off my chest, and the comments weren't made in this particular thread, you have all been totally lovely and I didn't want to make any of you feel bad. In fact the comments weren't made 'directly' to me at all, I could just see that my announcement had triggered something, hence me feeling it was directly a result of me posting about having twins. I don't mean to discount the feelings of others or the pain they may experience and their right to post about it, just wanted to acknowledge that those posts subsequently effected me. So I will shut up about it now and enjoy myself from here on in .

Welcome sammiejam, Bec and Babydreams, so glad you can join us.
Hi to everyone else, xx

Thanks for the welcomes girls - obviously I am being very cautious still and have to now wait for the 7 week scan to make sure everything is viable. I first got a blood test last Tuesday but it was very low (and only 9 days post) but had one yesterday and it was around the 450 mark too, so hopefully everything will be OK.

It is true it is all about waiting! The 2WW and then now once you get positive, have to wait until 7 weeks, then I guess the 13 week mark. Can send you insane and I have only just begun!

Hi Sammiejam, just a quick one re your hcg levels, have a look at The BetaBase, you can look at your dpo and compare to the averages for both singletons and twins, this might give you a better idea, wishing you all the best and congrats again xx

Welcome sammiejam, becc and babydreams! Congratulations and here's to happy and healthy pregs.

Grub - good luck with your scan!! Will you be telling us what flavour you have on board?

Kaydee & Grub - you are so right. I will just hold my head up and walk away. Kaydee - how are you travelling??? I keep looking to you for some sort of indication about how it's all going to pan out closer to the end!!

Saph - hope you're MS eases up. I remember those days all too graphically well unfortunately. The only thing that kept me going was thinking it was all for a good reason!

Azz, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

And a big hello to all you other lovely ladies.

AFM - hit third trimester today - yay!

Jen

Hi Everyone

A Big Welcome to 31becc, Babydreams & Sammiejam. It is so nice to see lots of newbies joining our every expanding mummt to be club. I hope you all have a H & H next 8 months and trust me the TWW is the easy part compared to all the waiting you now do for your milestone dates to arrive. As one of the other girls has said before, the worry now starts that we will have for the rest of our lives about our precious children to be.

Sammiejam: I think the HCG levels can be pretty much all over the place. I had 2 day 3 embryo's transferred and at my BFP my HCG was 350 (I started getting + POAS 6 days post transfer) so thought both had stuck. At 7 week scan it was confirmed that we had just 1 on board, but to me it was a pretty sticky one and touch wood I have had no troubles or complications this pregnancy at all.

To all my other girls, I'm thinking of you all and grub can't wait to find out if you are blue or pink.

AFM: Had 4d scan done today..... WOW it was so amazing..... Went for about 45 minutes and have a DVD of the whole thing and lots of 3D photo's printed as well. They confirmed 100% that it is definately a pink bundle as well, which is good seeing all the pink things I have already purchased. You could see so much detail of her face, she already has chubby cheeks and a little button nose. Although she loves having her hands up around her face either in fists or all stretched out showing off her long fingers. It was so funny though as she was sort of bent in half with her legs stretched up over her head, so she is obviously very flexible. DH loved it, just to get a chance to see his little girl. I think there is reality now that she is a little person. If I can work out how, I'll try and post some of the pictures for you all to see.
