Oh.... I forgot to add amongst the housework and mounds of washing - that my #3 is the most happy, flexible, easy going little bub - such a joy - I can wake him at a moments notice after a 20 min nap if I have to go out and do the school run, or stretch him out an hour if it is too early to get him to bed to last until after eg swimming lessons - thank goodness!!!
They really do just fit in.
I find in funny now in hindsight when I talk to new mums of #1 how they won't leave the house cos of baby X's routine, or needs a sleep (BTDT so that is not judgemental in anyway) - with 3 you have to get out and get on with life - I think that influences their nature too.

Good luck and go for it. I won't guarantee that you won't lose the plot from time to time, as I have, but I will guarantee you'll get extra hugs and more love.
I am in the same position as Willow and I find getting out hard with all 3 too. A really supportive partner is a must.

I think for me, three is scary because it's when the kids outnumber the parents! At the moment I can take one & DH can take the other & we're set, with three one of us will need to grow another set of arms! We do want three though, we figure we need a challenge in life |

Arimeh - LOL Good luck with everything.
rhyb - I don't know why do others feel the need to judge, it's not like it will effect them in any way. Good luck with your four .
Lulu - LOL. I already get "them" comments. I'm 1 of 9 kids so I've been getting them all my life, 'don't your parents have a tv' ect. Now I get "are you going to take after your mum" ect. Maybe I should say I'm trying to break my mums record.
jasp - It shouldn't matter to anyone but us. We do all the caring for our kids, we don't get anyone to babysit our kids or anything else. I am going to follow my heart. Thank you.
aussienic - Thank you
SamiH - Thank you
bjrose - I got a supportive DH who helps heaps. We don't have family that can help but the 2 of us do okay together. Thanks.

| | I have 3 winkies andI love it... it did help in someways that my oldest was at school when the youngest was born, but that also meant poor baba couldnt sleep whenever she wanted as I had school pick up and drop off...
I always say the 3rd comes out knowing it place in the family, it knows its the 3rd and therefore learns very early on to slip into a rootine very easily...
it knows its the 3rd coz when your UTD it wouldnt be a quite place to be, as you always talking to the other 2, and yelling at them whenever they are fighting ( or I was anyway lol)...
having 3 is great I wouldnt change it for anything, do whats right for you and your DH, its no one elses business...
I would love 4, but BHL has changed his mind and wants to stick to 3, it breks my heart to know I wont have anymore children, but at the end of the day 3 an't so bad

I know exactly what you are saying Mum2... anytime I tell someone we want a third they look at me like I am mad. I take it as encouragement... maybe I will have 4, or 5. Never rule it out I say.
Maybe it is because we already have 2 boys?? Maybe having 3 boys really is that bad?
I have really liked reading everyone's posts...it seems I come across so few 3 child families in real life, it is nice to know so many are out there and doing just fine. |

We've decided on 2 if I can get a second one. Any more than that at the moment would be too much, we can't upgrade house or car to accomodate. The plan is 2 before I finish uni, then once I've finished, working and the house is paid up or we have saved enough for a better place, we might have one more before the clock ticks out. It really depends on how you feel within yourself, your family unit and whether it is right for you. If it is GO FOR IT! |

We are probably going to try for #3 next year, as well, after the whole first year since I had T, I kept saying I didn't want any more - well, I guess I've changed my mind a little
Someone once wrote on another forum I visit about having a few children, or having them close in age, and I'm paraphrasing, but she said: "Yes, there are days when you'll feel like you can't cope, but people with no children have days like that too, so don't worry."
And I thought, that's so right! It kind of made up my mind for me... although I must admit I'm yet to stop taking the pill Just not ready *quite* yet!!

Geez, growing up as a kid in the 70's & 80's it was actually rare a family of 1or 2 kids ... it was usually 3 or more ... so, how did everyone suddenly change their minds a couple/few decades later ... Boy oh boy, next it will be why did you have a blonde kid instead of a brunette or visa versa ... i know i'm so sick of people not minding their own business, our lives & choices are so different to each other don't these people that question get that, augh
Mum2, to be honest i think sadly there are some people who feel some jealously & maybe they actually wish they could have 3 BUT for whatever reason don't !!
I come from a family of 3 children and we were never regarded as a large family as some people are making out 3 are these days.
........................ Mum2, you GO HAVE ANOTHER BUBBA to make " 3 "
