Deb, sounds like you've got a really interesting household there! Wish I was closer so I could help a little (not that anyone would really want to eat my cooking!)

Feeling a little happier today... could just be that I got a better night's sleep last night.

Deb, I am thinking of you, and will be during the coming weeks. Words are failing me right now, I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. I hope you are surrounded by love and support, and plenty of people to help out with your family throughout your recuperation. Sending you lots of love xoxo

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day. I know today can be difficult, but I hope all are happy. I had a lovely sleep in this morning and my pressie was a lovely card complete with a traced handprint of DD's hand and a treatment at a day spa. Lucky me!

Deb - thinking of you this week. I hope all goes well and that we hear some good news from you soon.

Willow - happy birthday for yesterday. I hope you have had a lovely weekend

Michelle - glad to hear the Baptism went well

BW - how are you feeling? I don't have plat membership so not sure what has been going on, but I am thinking of you and hope all is ok.

Janie - good to hear from you

Hi BekZ, Anna, Spring and anyone else I have missed.

Well, DH decided to pull out half of our front garden this morning so we are in the process of cleaning up and hopefully managing to find time to replant something! It was a little overgrown and needed some work, but I hope we have it looking nice again sometime soon.

Hi all, DS sleeping (finally! been one of those days ) so thought I'd jump on while I can.

Weekend was great - bday was lovely, got spoilt. Spent most of the day with my mum shopping, having coffee and getting our nails done. Went out for dinner that night with friends (just the girls so DH ended up staying home with the kids) which was great but didn't get home till after midnight and was soooo tired on Sunday.

Sunday got a sleep in but not much of one because somehow got roped into breakfast with the MIL & SIL Dragged my mum along to make it less painful! Came home and DS had a sleep and DH took DD out for the afternoon so had a whole afternoon to myself. Got some nice pressies - a card and keyring from DD made at preschool and DH actually went shopping and got me a pandora bead for my bracelet (for my birthday) and the most beauuuuutiful coral fleece dressing gown for mothers day - exactly what I wanted! Got the size and colour perfect (no mean feat on mother's day when I'm not a fan of pink or purple!) so pretty impressed with his efforts.

Having a baaaaad day today though. Lounge people called at 8 to tell me they'd be here in 15 mins to drop off half our modular lounge (which needed to be repaired - they told us it would take 7 working days...5 weeks later!!!) and pick the other half up. So I got DD and DS ready for preschool drop off, figured I'd have a shower and get dressed after they left....40 mins later they turn up So, no time for a shower, had to quickly get dressed, brush hair, teeth etc and make a dash for preschool. On the way out the door I walked across our new turf and got mud all through my open toed shoes. So by this time I'm not a happy camper!!

Had noticed throughout the morning a few sharp pains down low, sort of around my cervix. Also, Boo has been a bit quiet the last day or so. So it niggled at me for a while and I decided to call my ob to talk to him about it... "you'd better come down" *sigh* So bundled DS into the car and off we went. He did an u/sound, bp, urine test. All fine. Then after he took my bp, tells me he's going to do an internal to double check my cervix...nooooooooo! Anyhow, all good. Boo is breach at the moment with feet very close to my cervix so that may explain the pain Cervix long and closed so no drama there. Have felt a lot more movement since coming home so that's good.

Then I go to pay and realise I've left my purse in my handbag, not my nappy bag Tell the receptionist I'll call when I get home and pay over the phone (wanted to pay my prg management fee too). All good. Get to the car when I realise that I have to actually pay to get out of the carpark and I've got no money on me. Went back into the obs rooms and one of the girls had to let me out with her parking pass

Came home, rushed DS through lunch and tried to put him down. Well he didn't want a bar of that did he?? Finally got him to sleep about 30 mins later.

Hoping the day ends on a better note!

Michelle - any news from Deb?

Deb - thinking of you...

Janie - thanks for your txt, haven't had a chance to reply but I will!

Bun - we've just ripped half of our front yard out too! We had a large garden bed that was constantly overgrown so we ripped it out and put turf down instead. We ripped out all the old garden edging (sandstone/bushrock) and sold it on ebay for $150! The money is a bonus, the beauty of it is someone coming to take it all away and reuse it. We got a quote for kwik kurb style edging on the weekend so have to ring and book that in for next weekend. Will be a lot easier for us to maintain now.

Spring - hope you had a great mother's day
