Janie - what did you do during DS's pregnancy?? Did you have some support for the hormone levels or monitoring only?? A half way option - get your bloods done at 21 days to see what your progesterone levels are like and it will give you an indication of your next move (and that is coming up fast!!!!!!)
BBL - crying baby!!

| | Janie - I third what the good 'doctors' above recommend!
I think if it's a niggling feeling, get it checked and be sure. I waited waaay too long while ttc DS even though I knew in my *gut* something was wrong ( pardon the pun!!) and as you know, I was right all along. Should have trusted my instincts.
Not much happening here. We are all better from our flu outbreak, DS has bounced back quicker than any of us which I'm relieved about! Has slept through the night again the last 2 nights so must be feeling much better.
He's had kind of a big day today, a few new words including 'mermaid' (his sister is somewhat obsessed atm) and this afternoon I nearly fell off my chair when he counted to 4, holding his little fingers up and all He didn't get the digits right every time but he certainly has the idea! Must have worn him out cause he had a big sleep and I had to wake him to go and pick DD up from preschool (hate that).
Have made a really good start on the nursery and getting things organised. Had a bit of a reality check the other night, think I had some braxton hicks but not sure as i've never had them before Anyhoo, got me moving!
Cot and furniture are all up, started washing bedding, wraps etc today and will start on the clothes tomorrow. Will probably wait a few weeks to set up the bassinette in our room cause that always freaks me out
One bonus of always having summer babies is the pre-washing dried so quickly that it was all done in a few days, going to take a lot longer in this weather I think.

Thank you lovely friends! I will do as the good nurses ordered and request a day 21 BT . In fact, I am actually taking DS to the GP tomorrow morning (trying not to think about it, so had forgotten) so I will ask her for a request form then. It seems easy this way, as I'll be there already, so not a big drama. And being day 10 now means I won't have long to wait LOL. I text my two good friends tonight, who also told me to ask for a day 21 test, and they said that at least I'll get some answers - I replied that I'm hoping the answers show that I'm 'normal'!!!!!
Jayney Jayne, I think you are quite right about me. Thanks hun I'm so glad you guys are getting family time together, I hope you have a fab time at the resort!
Michelle, I had nothing with DS. No support, no monitoring, but no cause to have any of it. My first trimester was marred only by awful ms (and worry of course)! But my cycle has definitely been weird for the last 6 months. I know it can be different after having a bub, but it was 'normal' for the first few months and then changed. And it doesn't seem 'normal' now.
Willow, that's what worries me, that if I bury my head in the sand (like I want to) that I'll waste time. Especially if it's something that can easily be helped. So happy you guys are better. And I'm so excited that you're getting so close! WOOHOO, another baby, well two actually, on the way very soon!!!!!
Lisa, thanks for your words hun. I hear you on the bedtime stuff. I have started a new routine with DS just recently and that seems to be helping, he is much better. He was getting to be very naughty when it was time to go to sleep, and it was driving me nuts. We're pretty relaxed about bedtime here, but I think that was part of the problem, we were TOO relaxed. Fingers crossed he stays on the straight and narrow. Good luck to you with it!!! LOL at the swearing, I almost fell over the first time DS did it (not that he's done it much more since then ).
For those who know about day 21 tests.....does it specifically need to be day 21, or is it 7DPO? If you are fairly certain about when you O, and it's not day 14, do you have the test on a different day?
Nighty night all, I hope you have blissfully uninterrupted sleep

It's 7DPO, Janie. Especially if you've got a good idea of when you did actually ovulate. The day 21 blood test name comes from the assumption that everyone has text-book 28-day cycles with ovulation on day 14. I think you're doing the right thing by following your gut and looking into things sooner rather than later.
We're doing ok here. I have a keyboard that works again, Sam loves his pears and apples (but we're not introducing any new foods for a week or so as he has his immunisations tomorrow) and his digestive system appears to be functioning so much better these days - apart from the puke! My 4-day pooper is a thing of the past! Solids brought it to every two days, and the change to step 2 formula has him going every day now. I kind of miss all the poop-free days, but figure this is probably better for him!
Me, on the other hand... been holding off a sinus infection for a few weeks and judging from the horrendous headache last night and face-ache this morning it has well and truly set in and I'm going to need to head off to the GP for some ABs. Don't wanna go!
Heading out for a bit today so will leave it at that and catch up a bit more this afternoon assuming I manage to get through some of mount wash-more today.

Janie: Sounds like you have a plan of attack for TTC. So great to hear about DS also, as you say, good news all round.
BW: Hope you can get ontop of the sinus infection. Great to hear that DS's likes his food.
Willow: That is fantastic that your household are feeling better. Whoo Hoo. Sounds like a bit of nesting is going on around there hun. How exciting.
Lisa: What a cheeky little lady swearing at mummy. I must admit that, the first time DS does this too me (and I'm sure it will happen) I think I'll have difficulty keeping a straight face.
Jayne: How was your night away? I hope it was fantastic. Must be so nice to have DH home.
Deb: How are you hun? I hope you are taking it easy. (as frustrating as it must be)
Well we are good. DS is getting more and more talkative. He told me 'love you' the other day which was just the greatest. Melted my heart.
Anyway, wink wink, nudge nudge, do you notice anything different?
