Hello Ladies,

I am jealous that I can't come downfor the met up. Maybe next year I will fly down for the day with the new bub!!!

We have a commodore here too and yes I would love something a little more spunky. We will be looking for a bigger car in 12 months time. I am looking at a Toyota Avenisis (sp?) or a Honda Odyssey.

The gastro bug has almost gone. It goes and comes back Bub is moving heaps now and my belly has popped finally. Although the backache has started....grr

Anyone know much about anterior placenta's and birthing? Does bub assume a different position generally or it this just a theory?

I just bought the book "The Thinking Women's Guide to Childbirth" I can wait to read it.

Willow - Wishing you a good night with L. I am not sleeping well either these days...Nothing is going to change in the sleep department for a while to come I am betting.

DH and I were fortunate to have my Dad and Stepmum take the girls overnight. We went to the movies and saw Slumdog Millionaire and then got up this morning (of our own will) and went into the city for pancakes (my tummy was ok). Awesome day for us.

Hi to all

Michelle I'm all for the zoo if thats ok with everyone else. Its funny you suggested that as DH and I were talking about this meet and he actually suggested going there too
Anyway I'll be driving down so I'd love to park somewhere and catch the ferry across too.

Willow I hope L is ok and tonight isn't too bad for either of you. Could it be his teeth? Sage has been like this a few days/nights this week too. I'm putting it down to a cold caused by teeth if that makes sense

Bek I'm so jealous that you got to go out for pancakes this morning... They are my all time favourite brekkie lol. Luckily Sage likes them too so we often make them here and share

Janie I wish you were able to come along too

I've gotta go. Had a huge day in Sydney today and to top it off AF arrived again today with avengence. So damn painful. Luckily I'm going to see my Gyn/Ob next Monday again.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Even though I won't be there I think the Zoo would be great. We went there when DS was tiny and we had a great day. The only thing I would say is take a change mat because from memory there were only about 2 change tables in the entire place.

Well DS has his 18 month needles today or tomorrow (forgot to make the appointment, just waiting for the surgery to open). Man I wish I could over-come this needle phobia. I feel sick and dizzy already just thinking about it. Luckily the nurses know what I'm like so take over, I just don't want to pass this fear on to DS.

Mako: Sorry that AF is being such a PIA, I hope she passes quickly

BB later to let you know how we go

Good Luck with the needles Spring. Atleast this is the last 1 until DS turns 4 I have to say that I'm releived now (wasn't at the time though)that my DS had chicken pox last year so he won't need to have his 18month needle.
Sending you a great big supportive

Morning girls.

L was pretty good overnight. Stirred a few times between about 10 and 11.30pm and had a little grizzle but then went straight to sleep again so I let him go, not sure that he was even awake. But at 11.30am he woke up and was crying so I went in, he felt a bit hot (but not as hot as before) so I gave him a big drink of water and some more nurofen and he slept till 8am. So fingers crossed whatever it was has passed and he has a big sleep today while DD is at preschool. He usually does which is great because I get a lot of housework done or can just sit and have a cuppa and watch telly or something.

Spring - good luck with the needles! They're so awful, I'm actually considering not doing the chicken pox one and in any event they're a while off yet because his 12 month needles weren't done till about 14 or 15 months so will delay the next ones too. I'll tell you though, DD is due for her 4 year and I still can't bring myself to take her! It's worse when they're older! I'm thinking of getting DH to take her on Friday while I'm away in QLD but then I think that might not be the right thing to do either, I don't want to make her feel like mummy's abandoned her or make DH out to be the 'bad guy'....blah!

Bek - sounds like you had a great weekend, jealous!!

Mako - hope she buggers off soon. Looking forward to hearing what your ob has to say

Better go, going to attempt to colour my own hair this morning...should be interesting! LOL.

Willow: Glad to hear L is on the mend. Hopefully he has a big sleep so you can have a bit of time out. I did consider not getting the CPox but I've spoken to DH and he is very pro vacc. I guess it is a hard decision either way, the main thing that convinced me is little girl at a friends playgroup got it and ended up in intensive care at hossy, they almost lost her. I didn't realise it could be so serious, I guess that made my decision easier.

Mako: Yay for DS not needing this 18month needles. That is awesome

Well the appointment is 3.15 and I'm meeting a group of friends for lunch so hopefully the day goes fast.

Such a sook hey,

spring.

WOW Willow. You're lucky to be going to Qld. Are you going for the weekend? Is L going with you or is he staying home too?
How did the hair colour go? I do mine all the time, pretty easy really but have to say I was very nervous the 1st time I coloured it myself lol.

Spring I'm thinking of you and DS. I reckon its much better to get the little ones their needles instead of running the risk of them catching the virus that they prevent. I know how very sick DS was when he had chicken pox and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Sage had a great night last night. He slept from 8pm-6:30am So much better than the night before where he woke 4 times in 6 hours Its amazing how different one night can be from the next.

A big HI to everyone especially Anna. Can't believe how close you are to having another gorgeous little boy in your arms. Hope you are ok

Hey Guys,

Sorry to be a drag, but I have plans to go to the Zoo on Wednesday with some other friends of mine. I have just completly muffed it all up now haven't I?

Michelle's house is sounding great & Oh Mich, you needn't worry because I will come over earlier & help you get things ready (my idea of helping is getting my hands on the girl & boy) & of course i would help you clean up etc...

Umm, ok, this is really weird, but I have gf who has been ill for ages & they haven't been able to figure out why she is ill & they have found out she is pg. I have NO idea how far, but she has been unwell for a while. Now, tell me, why do I feel jealous???? Stupid I know, but I am jealous, I want it to be me!

OK, have to go, this post is scaring me!

Love JS

Ok - so what day are we meeting?!?!?! My place is fine +/- the park. Just need to know the day so I can pre-warn DH there will be a gaggle

Spring - you did such a good job today. I know how much you hate needles and I am sooooo proud of you

Bek - mmmmmm, I remember that feeling.

Jayne - cluck, cluck, cluck!!! You may happily squeeze my little people. Updated pics are on FB too

Well, the zantac didn't work so now we are on the losec for the little miss. Shocking week with screaming that just breaks my heart. She is better tonight. The boy has been a shocker too. Not sure if he is teething (2yo molars???), suffering the after effects of the fever he had or what his problem is He has had two awful nights - keeps waking the girl so she is sleep deprived too as well as in pain, and he has been awake half the night screaming / crying and really unsettled. Oh joy Hopefully off to bed soon ......

Michelle: that sounds tough matie. Sending big sympathetic cuddles your way

Jayne: I'm starting to feel the same way, like I'm ready for another. Is Alan definate that he doesn't want any more? Don't close your mind off to the idea if your heart is leading you in that direction.

Willow: Did I miss that you are coming to Brissy. How exciting Will you have time to catch up? Tell me the details.

Mako: Sounds like all your hard work with DS's sleeping has well and truly paid off. What a clever little boy.

Bek: Poor bugger, that pressure down below isn't so pleasant. I hope she shifts a bit for mummy soon and your back can get some relief

Well we survived the needle. Actually DS was much more bothered when the nurse measured his head then when he got the jab (lol). I held him all by myself no help required (where's a pat on the back smilie when you need it). I bought DS a new matchbox car and got it out just before the jab, he was so interested in it the needle didn't really bother him. And how's this, because I was brave and didn't cry the receptionist gave me a lollypop

Spring xx

Spring, you did really well! When it was time for Sam's 2 month injections, I made DH come with me... he held him while I busied myself making a bottle for him, so I wasn't even looking. With the way I cried every time he had a new NG tube put in while we were in hospital, I didn't think I could cope with the injections... I wasn't even in the room for his heel ***** tests, the billions he had to check his blood sugars were bad enough. I may have to remember the matchbox car trick for when Sam is older. Think a new outfit might help distract mummy?

Michelle, I hope some sleep was had by all. I really admire the way you are coping. I know I'm also dealing with chronic illness and pain, but it really does my head in when Sam has a bad day/night... I'm so relieved they don't happen all that often otherwise I'd be a complete basket case! Hope the losec works.

Urgh! Too early in the morning for typing, my hands are kicking up a stink already.

Jayne, something to help you feel a bit better about the zoo. Unless I have some dramatic improvement with my arthritis between now and then, the zoo and associated travelling on public transport with baby and pram just wasn't going to be an option for me and I was thinking I would have to pull out. So I'm actually kinda relieved the zoo thing isn't happening now. Probably the same with the aquarium, now that I think about it.

Spring - not coming to Brissy matie, flying straight to Hervey Bay, staying with a friend for 2 nights then flying home again, so a very quick visit. All I can manage while still b'feeding the boy. You think I'd come to Brisbane and not let you know??!! Tsk, tsk.

Michelle - you always amaze me by how well you cope! Hoping the losec helps and the little man settles down.

Speaking of needles, DH said he will take DD for hers on Friday and I spent some time talking to her about it and tried to explain what would happen. I was honest and told her it would hurt a bit. She seemed OK, especially when i told her if she was brave she'd get a a BIG surprise afterwards...she asked for a chocolate frog....a woman of simple tastes

Well I'm about to log off and no more computer today, too much to do. My little bro is in hospital with severe abdominal pain and has been on morphine all night. Had an u/sound which showed gallstones so they're taking him to theatre today to remove his gallbladder and appendix. So glad they're just going to do it and get it over and done with.

Mako - had a dream about you last night but it's one of those ones that's a bit foggy and I can't quite remember it...I think there was a baby in it though??

Not coping really. Small distance from losing the plot I am just really frustrated I can't make her pain better. And she was sleeping so well that we are currently in a vicious cycle of tired and grumpy (and in pain) baby, now unable to deeply sleep But it will get better. I can see some improvement today where the pain is less, she is just tired.

Poor little man is missing out too because mummy is busy trying to settle the screams so he was very happy to see Cathy today. She didn't come last week because we were all sick so they have gone out - to the park I think!!

Spring - gotta love the receptionist

BW - you can still come to my place though!!

Willow - hope your brother is better soon.

BBL - screaming again.

Yep, Michelle. Driving is no issue - just anything with a lot of walking involved is a problem. Although, it does feel like there may actually be some light at the end of the tunnel... I still have a lot of pain, but I needed less in the way of pain meds last night and this morning was primarily stiffness rather than hurting... It's only taken 6 weeks, but I think the new drugs might actually do something!

Have a velcro baby today... sleeping nicely as long as I hold him. Good thing I didn't want to go out and do anythign today.
