| | Logan. I hope you are having lots of fun today on your big 2nd Birthday. I hope you enjoy your guitar cake Mummy made for you too.
Willow congrats on your little mans birthday
Spring and Lee you are both making me feel so darn clucky with all this newborn baby talk ie the teeny tiny clothes etc lol.
Spring I hope you are feeling a little more rested today. The molars sure do cause issues don't they. Sage has cut 1 this week and he's so miserable today its not funny.
BW I say you invite whoever you guys want to and there really isn't too much need to worry about party games just yet either. We didn't bother with them for Sage's 1st birthday. We just made sure we had little party bags for each child thats all.
I went out with a friend last night to see Ian Moss. He was fantastic and we had a great time. I'm really to admit this but it was only the 2nd time I'd been out of a night with friends since Sage was born.

Awww thanks guys! He had such a great day, he had a sleep in till about 9am ( very unusual for him but we've had a BIG weekend) then we had breakfast and got dressed he opened his presents from us (LOVED his little guitar we brought for him) and then met some friends and my brother and nieces at a play centre then headed over to McDonalds for lunch ( ah well, it IS his bday )
He came home and we cut the cake and he had a big sleep, woke him just before 5pm and he was back in bed at 7pm. Big day for a little man but he had a ball.
We've had such a busy weekend with DH and DS's bday, two late nights in a row with friends so we're all really tired.
Another busy week this week with DDs Kindergarten orientation and our appt at the Children's Hosp for DS2 Then we're going away for the weekend
Sorry I haven't been around much the last week or so and have been really slack with the personals but we've been so busy. Will pop back in tomorrow to catch up properly. |

Sorry its belated wishes, am at Ryans house and busy taking care of 4 kids ( ) plus he nicks the net for xbox live. Maybe I should have included 'no xbox anymore' in the get back together discussions.
Horror night with Stellan. I think I got maybe 4hrs sleep. I was ready to ditch him outside in his pram to cry and vehemently declared no more babies ever ever again
I insanely made the decision to trek to Perth for christmas We'd been talking about it for the last 3yrs but Ive always been preg or had a brand new baby and couldnt be bothered. But seeing as MIL is doing chemo we thought now might be the time to bite the bullet before 2 out of 3 boys are fares. We booked yesterday and Im already crapping my pants.

Anna I hear you on the xbox live factor too. DH is addicted but luckily I can jump on here at the same time
Thats exciting that you are going to Perth for Christmas...Maybe Jayne can help out with some flying tips with little ones as she flew to Sydney from Perth earlier this year.
Willow Your cake looked fantastic hun. Maybe I should pay you to make Sage's from now on lol.
Mr L looked like he enjoyed it too
So are you still heading this way next weekend? If you are let me know if you want to try and catch up.
Also I still have the hammock if you want it. Its ok if you don't cos I'll just take it back to work and tell my boss its no longer needed but thanks anyway
Good luck with Boo's appt this week. I really hope everything is ok.
Also OMG that you have DD's orientation for Big School. I bet she's sooooo excited.

| | Mako - Yeah, actually we probably won't be needing the hammock now I'm so sorry that you went to all that trouble for nothing. But since his reflux symptoms settled he's been happily sleeping in his bassinette again so we don't really need it now. THANK YOU and your boss for all the trouble though...I feel so bad
Yes, we are coming up this weekend - WOOT!! At this stage we are busy from about 11am on Saturday till probably early Saturday afternoon - we have a friends house warming party but by then the kids will be ready to get going I'd say and hopefully L will have a sleep back at the house. We are free Sat night and Sunday - but I know you said you had stuff on. Let me know if you think you'll have time to catch up. We could have a bbq on Sat arvo/night?? Or Sunday?? Up to you guys. The place we're renting has a BBQ etc.
I know...Big School...it's crazy!

Willow that is not a problem at all and no need to feel bad I can take it back to work and just leave her a note to say Thanks for lending it and leave it at that...No issue at all
As for the weekend..We have a wedding on Saturday afternoon and the SIDS and KIDS trek on Sunday morning... When do you head home? Maybe if you're around we could do a BBQ later Sunday arv or something? Just let me know if that suits you guys or maybe you could meet us at the park after the SIDS thing around lunch time if you want too.

I don't know if you got my text this morning or not but anyway its ok and I'll give you the hammock when I see you
Nothing going on here today. Just going to try and keep cool as its meant to be a scortcher so hopefully sage won't mind having a day inside.
Hope everyone is well and to those of you having a punt on the big race..Good Luck. Hopefully we back a winner

| | Morning lovelies,
Melbourne Cup Day - I would normally be off to the TAB to place a bet, but I'm too enormous lol, and don't feel like going out these days unless I really have too! Good luck for those who do - a million each would be nice!
Glad to hear we are all doing a bit better in here, last week and prior were tough for many of us - I'm feeling much better - going from the sublime to the ridiculous though - from severe diahorhea to constipation (thank you Iron tabs) oh well, these are small problems in the scheme of things. Have been getting a bit more sleep which definately helps - still wake every 1.5 hours to go to the loo which is annoying, but goes with the territory! I'm really starting to feel excited and anxious to meet this little person who has been so active in there - have just pulled out all the boxes of little clothes and put them on my bed, so I have to deal with them!
Spring - hope you are feeling a bit more normal hun, amazing what even an extra hour of sleep can do - but I've a feeling the next 5-7 weeks will drag for us!
Hugs to all!
Lee xo

| | Mako - I know, I thought time went fast with L but #3 is just crazy!!
Sunday arvo should be fine for us - we're not going home till Monday. Will talk to DH and see what he says.
Thanks again for the hammock. I was laying in bed last night at about 10.30pm stewing over it because I suddenly had the thought that the hammock might be a good idea for when he grows out of his bassinette which will probably be very soon! We have room for his cot in here if we really needed it but it would be a tight fit. I'm nowhere near ready for him to go to his own room yet so the hammock may just be the ticket
So then I was panicking thinking I'd miss you and you'd take it to work this morning - hence the late night txt from DH's phone (yeah...I have no credit on mine...again )
Anyhoo - thanks again!! Lee - Wowee, you are so close now!! So glad to hear you are feeling better, you've been having a rough time lately
Melbourne Cup is such a non event for me these days being at home and all...I didn't even know it was today until someone at the school mentioned it!

Willow - I'm totally with you re. Melbourne Cup being a non-event for Mums!! Ahh.... I remember the wild pre-kid days when my work shut down for the afternoon, we all sat in buckets of water with bottles of champas (this was way up in Kakadu!!) - now it's a case of only dreaming about donning a frock and drinking champagne!! Our time will come around again - and tbh I really don't feel deprived, but a glass or two of champas would be nice about now!!!
Also, re. your hammock - I have an Amby hammock - and my dd slept right next to my bed for just over 8 months, comfortably - she still fit in the hammock when we moved her to her own room, but it was more a case of we started disturbing each other at bed time - we would wake her when we went to bed (once she was out of that newborn sleep zone) - she slept much better after we moved her next door, but the hammock was so fantastic and I'll be setting it up again soon for the new addition - it's currently in jolly jump mode!

| | Michelle - Not sure if you're around but wanted to run something past you....
Something's up with L. Monday he started coughing but it was a wheezy cough mostly followed by sneezing which I thought was a bit strange. Then yesterday more coughing and sneezing, clear running nose, swollen-ish eyes with dark circles underneath. He was generally 'not himself' and woke 3 times last night. I know it was really hot but that's unusual for him these days. This morning I went to get him up and he has large red circles under both of his eyes and his nose was blotchy and a bit swollen (this could have just been because I had to go to the loo before getting him up so he had been crying briefly, not sure).
Anyhoo...my mummy instinct is telling me it's a (allergic?) reaction to something rather than a viral thing....number one suspect is of course the abundance of red food colouring in his bday cake
Whadda ya think??
Going to be really hard to take him to the drs today because we have to go to the Children's Hospital and then DH has organised someone to come to the house to try and fix the AC in my car before my poor kids melt.
ETA: Oh...and Hope you have a great day with your little people.

Willow, I hope L is better soon and that the hospital appointment goes well.

| | Happy Birthday Michelle. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Willow How did you guys go at the Children's Hospital?
I hope L is better now too. I was thinking it sounds like an allergy or hayfever going off the symptoms you described but I'm no medic lol so could be way off. Anyway I hope he's feeling better now
Oh I really hope we don't have another night like last night here for a very long time. Sage went to bed at his normal time around 8ish and he then woke at 11pm and was awake until 3am. He was so unsettled and we couldn't do anything to calm him down. He eventually fell asleep in my arms on the lounge and then was up again at 6. Needless to say he's been a little on the feral side today. I was thinking it was a combination of the terrible heat and maybe his teeth. He's finally sleeping again now so hoping he wakes up in a better mood.

Happy Birthday Michelle Hope you have a fab day!!
Willow - hope everything went well today.
Me - well things have been a little crazy and ive been MIA, my best friend of 20 years was rushed to hossy on Sunday morning she couldnt breath, well turns out she has DVT, with a clot in her lung, started her on the clexane and I was there this morning and they were getting ready to discharge her with home care tomorrow morning. Just got a call from her sister saying they found another 30cm clot in her leg and she is being rushed to theatre. So between the hospital visits, having Melb Cup party at our place ive been flat out and now im exhausted.
On the upside, went to see OB today, all well with me and bubba, and ive only put on 2kg! Now im going to sit on the couch and have some cheesecake.
Ill be back at some stage to check on you lovelies,
Lis xx
