Yep I'm with you Michelle if I do this... all day (well I can't actually leap at prsent so there in lies the issue! ) So I am doing this:
Now, me being the practical virgo that I am.... Where is this child to be born? Have you found an obs? what about Selangor? Waterbirth? I'd be happy to hold your hand...
So, I know you're tired but there is MORE to report.. I have stalked all morning.... |

Deb: I've booked into the Royal Womens. My decision was based given the time of year I'm due, I didn't want to be in a private hossy with a private Ob who wanted to get home for the fireworks and start pressuring about inductions etc. Secondly, after speaking with my Middy I felt immediately comfortable with her and her approach to birth. I do have a private Ob because I want to have that continuity of care but thankfully he also works in the public ob so will be on duty over Christmas/ New Year and therefore won't be on holidays.
My last birth my main aim was to have a vaginal birth with no pain relief, tick in that box. With this birth my aim is to have a spontaneous onset of labour and to emotionally hold it together long enought not to ask for an induction. So I'm going to need you girls to help with get the strength to get there. The thought of a natural spontaneous labour as opposed to an induced one is something I want to experience.
We are definately having a Doula but haven't put much more thought into it. Deb, to find someone like you would be perfect. Any suggestions?

Do you live in Sydney Spring!? Or am I thinking of someone else.
Be prepared for an experience going from induced birth to spontaneous birth; Rivers birth was totally awesome knowing it all happened when HE wanted it too! I did struggle a bit with feeling out of control (like when my contractions were regular but nothing much was happening dialation wise, I so wanted to scream 'PUT IN A SYNTO DRIP PLEASE!' but kept reminding myself that you dont stay in labour forever and I really wanted to do it "on my own" so to speak) but in the end my stubborness prevailed. I definately think pain-wise it is easier too.
Oh this is so exciting! Im living vicariously through all our preg mama's in here - I actually kind miss the excitement of pregnancy and birth sometimes

Geepers Ladies! I had a feeling that something good had happened cos when I logged on this morning we were already up to Page 2 of a new thread!
SPRING _ You cheeky little tart! Sucked in that you are having horrid morning sickness!!! That's what happens when you fall on a um, hmmmmmm..... you know what I mean! LOL. In all seriousness, I am THRILLED that you are expecting again & I'm loving the name SKIPPY! Totally cool! Wow, you are just awesome!
WILLOW _ Welcome to the world of mermaids, Jessica is obsessed with mermaids & even told her swimming teacher when she is 16 she will grow a tail & move to the bottom of the ocean to live with a pet dolphin. Gee, didn't you get a rocket on the go with setting up the nursery! How exciting! I wish I was there to share it with you IRL!
Love Jayne

WOW I don't check the thread for a few days I miss out!!!
Congratualations Spring..wishing you a wonderful pregnancy.
I haven't read everything thoroughly yet. I am trying to get a spare mintue in between the kiddlets and my mad nesting frenzy.
Willow - Sara has informed me that she is having a mermaid birthday party (she is to be dressed like Ariel with a green tail and red hair) and she must have Ariel cake too!!! Plus Ariel cupcakes for daycare. She recently received a Arieal Barbie from my SIL. Ariel lost her arm a few days later and we can't fix her so Sara thinks we need to go to the shops for a new one... lol!!!
Had my 36 wk apt today. Bub is head down, 4/5th engaged and prosterior (I not worried about this). Nothing else to report except that I am getting alot of BH and some times I need to stop and breath through them.
BBL I am going to attempt to do some ironing..I so hate this job

| | Bek - DD has the same barbie, she got the whole disney princess set for xmas. I think that's what started it. She also has the movies (Little Mermaid I and II) and a few books too. And she loves that show on Saturday mornings, H20 or whatever it's called? Totally suited to older girls but harmless so we let her watch it. She keeps telling me she's going to turn into a mermaid, but I tell her then she'll have to go and live in the ocean and mummy will miss her too much
She got me yesterday though, excitedly telling me "I know mummy, I could live in the bath!" We have quite a big corner spa bath so it's not such a crazy idea for a 4 yo!
Glad to hear bub is head down and ready to go! Posterior's not so bad, L was posterior for ages, I spent a bit of time on my hands and knees but didn't stress too much, he turned well in time for birth. Soooo...I wanna hear about all this nesting - what have you been doing? You feeling more prepared? Jayne - have been thinking of revamping DDs bedroom a bit. Her wall stickons have seen better days (have been moved three times now) and was thinking of a new theme - you had any luck finding mermaid bed linen??

WILLOW _ I never had success finding mermaid sheets, but I have some mermaid doona covers/quilts & lots of hanging mermaids from the roof & 2 mermaid night lamps. Hiccups has some lovely mermaid bed linen - I think it's on ebay? My kids have mermaids to play with in the bath & they have to wear their goggles so they can dive to the bottom of the 'ocean' & rescue the shells I have in the bathroom that they throw into the bath! I'm loving that somebody else's child is going to be a mermaid - maybe they can move out together???
BEK _ Is posterior when the bub's spine is against your spine? Great news that the landing gear is all in place!!!

Congratulations Spring. I hope your MS passes soon and you can feel free to just enjoy your PG. It's great that you have so many friends here who are so excited for you!
As for me : AF arrived today so no blood test for me on saturday. Not sure if I can go through another stim cycle extravaganza.
I'll bugger off now so as not to spoil the vibe....

Sazz, I'm really sorry. I know what you mean about the stim cycle thing. I don't think I could do another either. I actually hate the fact that I have frozen embryos right now... how do you get yourself to the point where you want another child enough to be able to face IVF again for FET cycles, but not so much that it's possible to draw the line in the sand and not do another stim cycle?

Wow, has it been busy in here!
Spring - congrats, what fabulous news!! I feel so slow, I saw your first post about it but didn't twig as to what it was - I thought you were pointing out that the word 'moderator' now appears under your name! Then I was looking at everyone elses posts and thinking hmmm, maybe I have missed something! Went back, looked at your sig and finally figured it out! I am so happy for you. It's funny, I have been thinking about you lately and wondering when you would be ready to TTC#2!
sazz - so sorry to hear your news, that just sucks. Lots and lots of coming your way. Lol at all the mermaid loving little girls! Soooo cute! I am starting to think about putting together a big girls room for DD to free up the nursery for the new bub but totally don't feel ready! I think I may wait til after the new bub is born before I move DD out as the new bub will probably sleep in our room for the first 3-6 months anyway, and DD will not even be 2 when it's born which just feels too young for a big girl room already!!
Bek & Willow - gees you girls are getting close! Woo hoo!
I had my first OB appointment the other day and all is looking good thankfully. It's funny, but i feel so relaxed about this pregnancy which is not at all what I had expected. Maybe because it all happened so quickly I haven't had time to stress. Whatever it is, it is a lovely change not to go into OB appointments in the midst of a panic attack! I feel some mild anxiety before a scan but nothing like what I used to feel with DD. We are not having the NT scan, so next appointment is in a month. I guess I just have to trust that all will be well until then! Still not game enough to put up a pg ticker though.
