Default Bertini X2 Pram

Hey girls,

Just wanted to know if anyone else has purchased the Bertini X2 pram?

Ours is on layby at the moment but i just starting freaking out the other day - hoping we had purchased the right pram! Probably a bit late to start worrying as we get to pick it up in 3 weeks time with the nursery furniture.

Hoping someone on here as had good experience with this pram or one of the other X3, X4 chassis....

One thing i'm hanging on is a few friends own older Bertini prams and they all said that they were really good prams.

hi! i dont have the X2 but it looks really good and have heard great things about it. can i ask.. how much did you get it for?? ive only seen it selling for about $850?? is that right?? it's def. on our shortlist and surprisingly it was hubby that spotted it out! does the seat fully recline for a new born?? i was tossing up between this and the Steelcraft Cruiser or Strider 4. there is a big difference in price...

Hi peach blossom,

Yeah it is $850 but we got it for $742 as we spent about $2200 with the one shop so we got it discounted.

The seat does recline fully for a newborn - that's what we're using it for. The only thing we noticed is that the seat is really that deep compared to other prams but after asking friends/family this shouldn't really matter.

We chose the X2 over the other Bertini chassis as the wheel base is narrower so it can fit through normal checkouts and inside little shops. Some of the other chassis in that range are quite bulky but they all look pretty funky.

We loved the colour range too - we got green (my fav colour) but the blue is really nice also.

I was looking at the X4 for a while there too,it was the only 1 in the Xseries range that takes a toddler seat. I love everything about the Bertini prams but i just wasn't real keen on the look of the new range. I preffered the Bidwell model before it.

I've since come across the new Bertini BoutiqueQ Astro Shuttle(old shuttle re-released)

It's about $430,reasonably light which is great for me & has a toddler seat attatchment available.. The only thing it doesn't have like the X4 is a reversable seat. It only comes in the 1 colour combination.

I have the x2 in red we love it. We bought it with our package too but didn't get a discount so you did get a good price. You'll be really happy with it. Its so easy to push and put up and put down. I get lots of comments on it. So great for a newborn and it will last, it seems it can take a really big child.

Hi
For my 1st and 2nd bubs I had A Bertini Bidwell and absolutely loved it.I sold it as we weren't having any more kids. We now have a surprise baby on the way so I bought the next model off a friend of mine for $100. I don't know what is it called but it is virtually the same as the Bidwell except it is aluminium instead of steel. I love the steerable wheels and the fact that it is soooo sturdy. We can load it up with all sorts of stuff without it collapsing for falling over. I don't think all of the newer ones have the steering mechanism which is a shame, it's my favourite feature.

Except in my boot!!

The pram doesn't fit into my boot if left put together. I have a little 2001 laser hatchback and we we're hoping it would have been sold by now but no we still have it. To get the pram in the boot, we have to take the seat off the chassis and turn the seat the other way and take out the parcel shelf out the car so it will all fit in That's going to be a nuisance until we can swap the car over for a wagon or bigger sedan.

We got the car seat the other day and that looks like it's going to take up the whole back seat once it's fitted.

No room for groceries!! At least i probably won't need to take the pram to do grocery shopping anyway as i can use one of those trolley's with the capsule on it.

I think i would have this problem with every other pram on the market anyway with having a small car.

Oh well...

No, it's a bit narrower. The Strider 4 is 68cm, and the X2 is 62cm.

I love the X2, but wish it came in a sandy colour.

We ended up getting the X2 in orange (and we borrowed a red basinette for it from a friend who has one). We've been using it for 7.5 months now and love it, no complaints.
