What do you look for in an Ob?

Hi all

I'm living in Singapore at the moment so don't expect an recommendations to ob's in particular, but wondering, what do you look for in an ob..? Do you shop around for them?

I had DS in Perth through the public system and boy do I wish I was doing that again.....so EASY!

I always look for a recommendation. Know any pregnant ladies over there??? Is there an expat forum?

Other than a recommendation, things that are important to me are; OB with similar goals to me when it comes to birth. Someone who would listen to my concerns and not brush them off. Good bedside manner was also important to me.

When i was first preg i made an appointment with 3 obs. I was going to go to each one and 'interview' them. But as soon as i walked into the room with the first one, i knew he was the one for me. Feel free to shop around though.
