Knowing we was putting it in dd's account you get so use to it. and then when it stops its like where that go? LOL |

I prefer it to be paid fortnightly that way it can't be blown on useless crap, even though i would not let it be. And because it will get paid over 6 months means ill be covered for money for bub until i got back to work.

$380?
Why am I getting paid more?? Does it change State to State?
We certainly aren't getting any other payments, we aren't eligble....I get paid $399 fortnightly.

yep, it should be $390 p/f for 6 months ($5185 / 13) as per Centrelink website. So what you're getting leesa is correct. Baby Bonus - payment rates

Ta Jodi, I would assume it be right - but I was thinking of calling them to make sure I wasn't being paid something I'm not entitled to, would hate to have to pay it back!

Hey Ladies,
I am having twins.... I know I get double the bonus but do you think I would be able to space it out over a year??? or get a payment weekly instead of every f/n???

you'll get your baby bonus (both installments) together fortnightly over six months. the only way to not do this would be to not register one baby until six months down the track - and therefore not getting ftb for that baby either until you register it.
you will get both ftb and bb fortnightly - you will initially get both payments same day but you can ask to have your ftb payment moved to the opposite week (you can't change what day baby bonus payments are received)

Wow, i'm glad I stumbled across this... I was under the impression that it was just under 200 bucks a fn. We're planning on saving it all and using it to help with mortatge repayments during winter when DH's hours go down a bit - longer I can stay on matleave the better!!
