Hi there girls, i have been keeping an eye on your posts.. i have now a 3 month old son that i gave birth to at john flynn hospital..
i had dr doolabh who i found to be very kind, sensitive and informative. this was my first bub which i was extremely nervous about.
we also had a water birth which was amazing.. only gas and the warm water and i had a 2 hour labour!! wow!
very intense but also very worth it.. i have heard dr tueman is great although when i had him as a fill in he didnt feel as warm and fuzzy as my own dr although i guess u begin to build a strong bond with your own ob which is the whole point of having your own.
my hubby only just started a new job and cudnt be with us every day so it was wonderful that he could stay the night and have a propper meal with me and bub..
we also found that we never heard a peep from other pacients it was very private and didnt hear other bubs screaming all that much.. or enough to disturb us! very good sound proof!
midwives were awesome and helped me to get through my labour without having to resort to pain releive.. tried other options first which was really great.. they were all soo supportive!
best of luck but i will definetly be going back when we go for our next bub!

Hi Mara,

Just wondering how you are getting on with deciding on OB's etc.

Just wanted to let you know that I was a size 18 at the start of this pregnancy and was also worried about being attacked by a OB or middie about it, I must say that at Dr Dutt's they have been very supportive and not once negative about my weight. In fact they are very very happy with me, this has indeed been a huge weight off my shoulders (no pun intended!). I still get weighed every visit unfortunately, but like I said - nothing negative has ever come up (except from me!)!!!

Amsta,

Thanks for the feedback, it's nice to hear from someone who's been there!!
