Hi Ladies,

I just realised I could post in here now that I am officially a TWW-er! So, hello to all the ladies I know and to those I don't!

Coral-I'm so excited for you about having two little embies transferred! I would absolutely have done it had I the opportunity but it was a categorical no for us seeing as it's our first go.

I'm sorry about the lack of personals but I am a little concerned about the almost constant abdominal action I've had since ET. There has been some kind of sensation there since about 2 hrs after ET varying from a general heaviness to a stitch-like feeling to vague period-pain type feelings.

Can any of you ladies shed any light on what might be going on? I'm on Crinone which made me a bit crampy even before ET and I also had an injection of Pregnyl last night so I don't know if either of those could impact. Other than the twinges and cramps I am completely fine- no nausea/bloating/wait-gain. I'll ring the clinic in the morning but am keen to hear your feedback/experiences.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. xxx

Hi Meg - I think it's normal to have some/ constant cramping that varies from mild flutterings to a feeling like trapped wind (sorry tmi!) to period pains to sometimes the feeling like when the dog clambers over me to get to something more interesting and I get a pointy dog foot in the guts. I think if it's anything like being punched in the stomach or really stabbing, I'd get it checked out? If it was an ectopic, you'd get fever symptoms in which case straight off to A&E.

I definitely have a feeling of fullness after IUI, I know something is in there. I've had three bouts of stomach cramps today - of varying strengths. Hope this helps assure you you are not the only one. Hope it's all ok x

Good Afternoon Ladies..

Things seem a little quiet in here at the moment! I hope that this means that everyone is forgetting about all things TCC and that the 2WW is passing quickly for you!

Meg - Yay, we are finally here ! Now it is just the hard part... all this waiting! Although I have never personally experienced it, I have read a few posts where girls do get cramping following an ET. I think that it can be normal for some . I hope you're feeling better and that the cramping has subsided a bit.

melttc - How are you going? I hope the 2WW is treating you well! I swear that time just seems to stop during the 2WW - so annoying, he, he!

mitf - GOOD LUCK with your results today! 'ing that you get your long awaited BFP!

BecD, murraycod, LondonMiss & Terry - Hello to all you ladies and sending you lots and lots of !!

For anyone I have missed, sorry ... wishing you the best of luck in your 2WW!

AFM - I am doing well... I have taken both today and tomorrow as leave so that I can relax as much as possible this 2WW. It is definitely doing the trick and I feel nice and calm. Nothing really to report so far (early days yet), except for some sharp pains in lower region yesterday afternoon and today. Trying not to look into too much as it really could be anything.... Anyways, about to watch yet another movie... ah, the joys of not being at work - yay!

LondonMiss- thanks for the response- it definitely helped put my mind at ease. As it turns out the cramping is much less today but I called the nurse anyway as I needed to find out how many embies we ended up with. As soon as I said I was feeling great except for a bit of cramping she immediately said it was the pessaries and as long as I keep up the fluid, everything is fine. Yay!!

As for the news on our final number of embies- at ET on Friday the scientist said 4 were perfect and there were 2 more she was going to give a few more hours to develop. As it turns out they made it and we have 5 frozen! Woo hoo. I was quite content with the 3 that were guaranteed so to have 2 more is such a bonus!

Hope the old TWW is treating everybody well!

Hey Miss Coral- Yep, we've made it to another milestone in our TTC journey- the TWW forum! Ha ha!

Thanks for thinking of me and the cramping- as I said below it seems to have subsided for now and the nurse put it down to the pessaries. Happy to hear you've taken a few days off- very good idea. I'm at home today with the intention of studying- I've two exams this week and I've done nothing... oh dear.

xx

Hi ladies great to hear the excitement in the posts from both Meg76 and Coral73.

Meg76 I too had those cramps early on and then they just stopped but were replaced by sharp stabbing pains every so often for a few days too...so ifs that's your next stage don't stress too much

Mitf I so hope you go the good news you have been waiting for today.

For the rest of you girls hope you had a great weekend and Monday is treating you kindly

AFM well the countdown is well on truly on 4 sleeps to go. This morning I felt like AF is on the way but I'm trying to stay calm and remain positive. So tempted to POAS and just get it over with but will try to continue holding out till Friday.

LondonMiss I think I'd rather be at home writing an essay than at work watching the clock tick so that i can go home....

Coral & Terry - thanks for thinking of me guys. I am very excited to report that is a BFP and I am well and truly UTD

My BHcG reading was 261 which is apparently excellent. It has been a long time coming. I have watched many friends and family members get pregnant over the last couple of years and often though 'when is it going to be my turn'. Well it really is a numbers game and I can't believe that turn has finally come.... DH is very excited, he was going to buy me flowers but was so excited he rushed home, picked a rose from our garden and showered me in kisses.

Thanks to all you lovely ladies for your support over the last week or so. I will be that we get a few more BFP's and will definately be popping in to see how you are all going.

mitf xo

hey MurrayCod - got my first one tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that (not!). I'm going to Sydney for the weekend (whoop whoop) and MIVF have given me a little letter to give to Qantas so they let me take my pregnyl with me in a cool box...

there is no way you have AF cramping with a week to go surely??? (not that I'm talking you into pregnancy symptoms!!)

good evening girls!! I'm back in the 2ww. Have just read your news Mitf....whoo hoooooooooooo that's absolutely flipping fantastic!! great no.s too!

I will catch up with where everyone is tomorrow....internet has been up and down all night with storm.

afm - 1 embie transferred today. we have one looking good for freezing tomorrow, but the other 4 are questionable which is but what can you do..at least I got a transfer. The actual transfer was far better than first two when I experienced a lot of pain during procedure..hate those speculum/catheters! No blood and the doc was v. happy.

We were chatting with the receptionist, scientist and 2 nurses before leaving, and DH suggested that they should all try having the catheter and speculums and just have some saline pumped in!! I agreed, but funnily enough none of them wanted to do it.

This whole cycle has been different to first 2...here's hoping it's got a different outcome. good night everyone, sleep well and here's to 'Sleep 1' being out the way...only 9 more to go!!!

Airline - I completely agree! There are somethings that aren't meant to levered open. Although it could be worse, do you remember the old metal ones? They were always cold. I always thought they looked like the scoops you got mashed potato in at primary school/ a gulag!

Please permit a short vent - just did my pregnyl. Stupidly did it just after a shower and must have had slightly slippery hands, the top shattered, I've got bits in my thumb and finger, blood everywhere, then couldn't get the second one open because my fingers were still wet this time with blood. Then dropped the sterile wipe on the floor. The fact that it came back covered in dog hair was a slight clue that it might not be so clean anymore (nor obviously are my floors!!) why oh why oh why can't they make pregnyl in a neat little one like Ovidrel where you peel off the top, jab, bobs your uncle? I'm not a flipping chemist! Honestly. I've had to have a cake to calm me down

Anyone else got some good news to report? I'm sleeping like hibernation is pending so I'm taking that as a good sign ..... (oh dear the madness sets in!)
