Thanks heaps for your wishes Ferrals. I too hope we have good news. Will definately be asking all the questions re follie count etc tomorrow. Normally I just take what they tell me.

Have been trying to see if I feel any bloating etc but I think I dont feel anything. Maybe, just maybe slight ache type feeling might even say very, very slight period type pain. SO Im hoping that Im really feeling these things and not just imagining it because thats what I want to feel. We will see tomorrow wont we.

Thanks again for the wishes and support. Will definately be sure to post on here my details and like I said, will be drilling them tomorrow for all the details. Might even arm DH with a pad and pen at the US and take down the exact same details lol.

Afternoon all,

Sorry no personals. Am feeling rather upset, have had a cry and just dont know what to do. I need to vent a little.

So,DH and I travelled bright and early this morning for my first US and 3rd BT. All was ok good with that, just had to wait for my "official" results phone call. Noted at the US that the follicles they did measure were quite small with the largest being approx 10mm .

Anyway, got the call from the nurse. She let me know that she had spoken with my FS who wants to push on with this cycle (gee sounds promising..... not). He has asked that I keep taking the 450IU of Puregon and the 10units Lucrin each day and I need to go back in on Tuesday for a BT but no US this time hmmmmm. Nurse also told me that my Estrogen levels had increased slightly (Tues was 143 and today it was at 360) but still down on where they would really like them to be at. Nurse also told me that my uterus lining is at 6mm so all good there and that I have 9 follies however all were smaller than 10mm She also said that she was waiting for FS to look at my FSH levels from the BT. Not sure what she meant by that but Im sure it didnt matter.

To say im disapointed with those results is an understatement. I have a feeling that were headed down the same path as cycle number 1 and that is cancellation due to poor performance. Im sorry If Im affending anyone but this just isnt fair. Why am I not responding to my Puregon shots. Thats one thing I just need to know is why? Is there something else medically wrong with me that we have missed and I need to have it looked into. Not to mention, If we were to stop IVF and try naturally, what complications would we have then??? I thought IVF was to help, not hinder. Its just not fair.

Havent mentioned to DH yet but am seriously thinking of cancelling and giving up (I know this is only number 2 but can you blame me when it all seems to be tracking in the exact same way. I have even gone for Accupuncture for this session and I am of the opinion at the moment that I dont think it did diddly squat for me). I dont know that I can keep going knowing the information I know from my failed first cycle and what it is im being told now. I feel like I already know where this is headed and Its just not fair at all.

Sorry for the very big me post. I just dont get it at all now. WHY body, Why are you doing this to me!!!!!

Aww Motherhood i am so sorry things are not going to plan but it isn't cancelled yet so hang in there.I feel the same way i thought seeing we have normal fertility and are only doing ivf for genetic reasons i assumed it would be easier for us and to find out that fertile people might not be able to go through ivf is distressing and i also thought about giving up on ivf and trying naturally as i feel the ivf road is more stressful because if we fall pregnant naturally it's one test at 12 weeks to get the all clear but with pgd its if you can start a cycle and then if its not cancelled and if you get enough eggs and then if they fertilise and then if they make it to day 5 and then if they make it through testing and are uneffected and then they have to stick PWEEEEW! no wonder we are stressed with the whole process i have decided we will give pgd ivf one go hopefully (next month) if we cant start or it doesnt work that is it for us our relationship is to important and i can feel the stress and i dont want it to ruin it all i can say is i am praying for you and i hope it all works out.
I am terrified of my first BT in two weeks we need some good news.

Just a question last AF when i was waiting for my BT result on day one i opened my puregon cartridge and put it in the pen and put the needle on to get it ready seeing as i didnt end up useing it i have read once it is opened you have to discard it after 28 days i took the needle off straight away will it be still good to use or should i just use a new one when the time comes

Hi ladies, sorry for the absence. No reason just busy with work and planning.
Sorry you are both feeling down, Motherhood please don't quit this cycle till the fat lady sings, 9 follies is way better than last time is it not? And 10mm will keep getting bigger, try to be positive. If i were you i'd keep going, it will be interesting to see what comes out at EPU. You may be supprised.

Ferrals i hope you are on track for this month and we will be cycle buddies!

I totally understand you both wanting to try naturally, if we could we would be too.

AMF- Leaving the sticks on mon morning, going home to Coffs Hr to relax and wait for AF, then all going well my cycle will start.

Thanks for the well wishes. Am feeling a little better this morning about it all. Yeah 9 follies is ok. I think in the end though we only ended up with 1 at the right size and another knocking on the door so to speak so a potential 2.

Who knows what will happen. Heres hoping the FS sees what he likes at the next BT on Tuesday. I have everything crossed for us but I suppose DH is right, just have to wait and see. Grrrr frustrating. Am thinking of calling FS tomorrow to get info straight from him. Hope Im allowed to call him because I think I just need answers.

Yeah, give him a buzz, that is your right!
I can call mine anytime, she even calls me. (she would be in the same office as yours.)
I have heard if ppl getting only 1 mature egg and passing PGD and getting pg, i realise that is really rare but my point is miracles happen.

Already had the water works again tonight. Didnt help that there was a cute little baby on my hour long train ride home from work!!!!

I am hoping for good news but at the same time, have also been telling myself that I think it will end the same as last time. We will see hey. Im guessing that because tomorrow is only a BT and not the usual duo of BT and US it might be the tell tale sign of whether we continue or not. Did ask the nurse today when I was talking to her about time for another!!! Sounded promising but up to FS i suppose.

Will keep you posted. Hope all is well with the two of you as well!

AFM-10 days until AF pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease give me normal hormone levels.

I know i was supprised to... i sent her an email and when she replyed at the end it was like, oh by the way take note of new contact detail... new email, new address and new phone/fax numbers. Even her receptionist has a new email, which i was annoyed about as i had email her asking for a note to fly with needles and never heard back from her. Now i know why. When i speak to my nurse next im going to ask what the go is.

Afternoon all,

Just a quick one to vent my frustration at still waiting for my BT results from this morning. My stomach is doing somersaults with what the results might possibly be and where it leaves us with cycle number 2. I know that I need to wait, its just hard and this isnt even the 2ww for me lol.

Well back to waiting for the results and the answers to my questions I armed the nurse with yesterday for when she speaks to FS today!!!!

Afternoon Ladies,

Well here we go. Just got the call from my nurse.

FS is happy with the results from todays BT as it shows im finally responding to the 450 Puregon YAY! Nurse told me that my estrogen level at todays BT was 1195. Previously at Sats BT it was 360 and before that it was at 143. Need to keep going with the 450 Puregon and then back in for a BT and US on Thurs morning. Let the nurse know too that I have been feeling a little achy and period pain type feeling the past couple days or so and hoped that it was a good thing. She confirmed that yeah, it is a good thing. With my estrogen levels, we now just need them to keep going up and up.

I cant describe how happy Im feeling now and I feel as if a weight has lifted off my shoulders however as I have just told DH, I cant let myself get too excited, need to calm down and see what happens and go with the flow.

Nurse also let me know that she discussed with the FS what steps we can take to get around the slow response. His response was that in possible future Stim cycles we would start with the Puregon first and then bring in the Lucrin. Obviously I dont need too much surpressing. Oh well we will see hey.

Am so happy now. Bring on Thurs and Body/uterus, you are to be on your best behaviour all the way right to the end with our BFP (Wishful thinking)

I am getting a little impatient waiting for AF. Have settled in at my mums and waiting waiting waiting. I should have been cramping or spotting by now, knowing my luck it will come on the weekend when i can't have the BT.
