Hey girls,
Well not the result I expected- only 1 egg at pick up they said to DP during biopsy 'we got one good one' I just they were right and I have an embie to TF on Friday- feeling very 'deja vu' atm feeling a mixture of everything really, mostly just confused, sad and wondering why? Now I just play the waiting game and wait for the call about fert tomorrow. Just wanted to thank everyone for your constant support it's been great but I might just lay low today and try and get some R&R, feeling very woe is me.

anyos- I had a quick looksie at the links you provided. I can't really comment now about them as I only skimped thru them but I will say very interesting esp regarding trigger shot. This is something I'm going to look further into as I believe my trigger is only a 'tiny' dose (250mcg) compared to reading what others have used to trigger, and I think this 'might' be an issue. I just feel like I should have had atleast one more egg. Thank you for providing this info.

Hi Dutchie. I hope you get fert and a BFP from this one good egg - it's very possible - and one is all that's needed! I'll have everything crossed for you.

Hey girls,
I wasn't going to jump on didn't log in but I read your msgs and I just had log on and reply. Firstly just to thank you so so much for your support and kind words, it really does help and is such a comfort esp during the hard times like today.
Call from the lab was not good news, my egg was too immature, FS said it matured up a lil' more in the lab ( I thought once they were 'picked up' that was it as far as maturation, seems that's not the case) so they injected it and thought 'oh well this might be good' but it wasn't to be- didn't fert, just too immature which is surprising as the follie was 19mm at my pre-op scan. I believe because of my fsh, my follies need to be more like 20-22mm at trigger (closer to 22mm) oh well I'm just too tired at the moment to think about all this now.
Had a chat with FS and the good news out of this is that we can cycle pretty much straight away, basically whenever I'm ready, I'm going to wait a month to give my body a rest as I strongly believe high fsh and back to back cycles are pretty much a no no.
We are going to be doing an antagonist cycle next time with clomid and orgulatran which I'm happy about. The clomid is supposed to help with getting more eggs which I obviously desperately need. If I had my way we would have been doing an antagonist this cycle but better late than never we're doing it now and that's what matters.

M2C- I just wanted to thank you again you are a real sweetheart and have been a constant source of support which I appreciate immensely. Thank you thank you thank you

buliej- Wishing you the very BOL with your BT tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. So happy to read in the other thread that your #s are doubling appropriately.

CPie- I read your sig and that your doing a cycle very soon. I'm so happy for you and will be that the immune suppresive treatment is able to give you your BFP.

Tigga- Good to hear from you hun and thanks for coming in to wish me well. I hope your scan today went well, thinking of you. BTW- I'm so happy that your pg is going well and exactly as it should. I must admit I'm often stalking you on the other forum just to see how your going I'll have to have a look on there in the near future and see how your scan went.

anyos- thinking of you too hunni during this very hard time it so sucks to miss out on TF esp after the efforts we put into every cycle. We'll get there I'm sure of it and until we do we just 'keep trying' that's all anyone can do. Glad we both have plans that we can move forward with. Thanks again for sharing the info. you did yesterday esp as it was at a difficult time.

infinity- hope things are well with you hun.

Smithy- thanks hunni, your a gem it's so disappointing but we'll just try again. I read your journal and am so pleased your ob appt went well. Almost in 2nd tri your doing so well, you go girl.

I think that's it, I reckon I'll go to bed now, I'm so tired.

buliej i am hoping and praying that your having a small break through bleed, its pretty common to have small bleeds in your first trimester, thinking of you hun and sending lots of sticky vibes your way xxx

dutchie oh hunny i am so so so sorry, i wish there was something i could say or do to make you feel better, its just not fair that this has happend! i have everything crossed that the clomid will do the trick and give you some gorgeous eggs, i think its a good idea that you wait a month aswell, give your poor body a break and give your emotions a break, you have been through alot in the last few weeks xxx

anyos i hope you are doing ok hun xxx sending you lots of hugs

Dutchie, im sorry to read your embryo was immature, we can certainly understand what a rollercoaster your journey is, and i hope the new protocol, is just what you need. I hope you were able to get some rest and prepare your body for your next cycle, which I hope will get great results

M2C, I read in another forum, that a lady was at risk of ohss, so they gave her a 1/4 of the trigger, and collected less eggs, I thought of you when I read it, and it may be worth discussing with your FS, when you get a chance, just in case the unlikely event of high e2 again. I definatly think it is worth having a senario chat with him

Anyos, if you read IVF with PGD threads, and go back, you will see talk of dhea

Hi to Babydream and Smithy, I will go and see how your both going soon

Julie, I wrote you a post in the older women thread

AFM; My paperwork and syneral arrived yesterday, I start sniffing on the 12th, so in 13 more days, i will be "on the road again" ... Going to see another FS next week, so you never know

Dutchie, sorry to hear your news, I was praying you'd get a good result this time Hope you're ok and I'm glad you can move onto another cycle soon, hopefully the new protocol will make the difference. Am here if you need to vent xxxx

MSC thank you for 'stalking' me I've spent some time with my counsellor so am feeling less frustrated. How are you going?

Buliej hoping all went well with your scan today

WLB thank you for the info regarding the PGD threads, I'll have a look. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Dutchie, just logged on to see how you're going and very sorry it wasn't better news, it sounds a bit like my last cycle and I know how disaapointing that is.

Think it's a very good idea that you're giving youself a break for a month and the antagonist protocal sounds like a good new step.

Just wondering I know from earlier this year that you measured your FSH each month and I seem to remember you had better numbers in the months when you were just monitoring it compared with the month you were cycling.

Perhaps it could be an idea to keep monitoring it and depending on your number decide whether you want to start or not - this should be possible with an antagonist protocal as that was what my FS did with me.

Sara

Hey girls,

Sara- Hi hun, yes I think you've hit the nail on the head. I very much intend to keep monitoring my fsh and try and cycle when I'm having a 'low' month. It does seem that the levels are lower while I was just monitoring and not cycling, I think it's because cycling is just stressful for me even if I'm doing the things I need to relax, it's really an anxious time waiting for scans, wondering if follies have grown etc and esp given my history, I think there will always be an element of stress for me. Fortunately, AP seems to help immensely with keeping stress in check- My AP & I believe there is a relationship between stress and high fsh. I think next cycle, my fsh needs to be 6 or less to give me a decent chance of responding. Thanks for popping in, it's really nice to hear from you.

Thanks everyone for your continued support. Still a little bummed by it all but getting there. Just trying to stay calm and relaxed and not let this get to me. I might have a 'small' BB break.

Have a great weekend ladies.

Hello everyone,

So much bad news in here at the moment, my heart is so heavy. You all are such caring wonderful people, who will be amazing mothers. It is just not fair.

Dutchie - i'm so sorry for what you're going through and sorry I haven't been able to come in a support you. I cannot believe your result. I'm glad you are waiting a month for the new cycle. Take care of yourself and see you back in here soon.

anyos - my FS reduced my trigger because I had the opposite problem, too many eggs and danger of OHSS - so it makes sense to me that a stronger trigger could work better for you. Hoping you find that 'magic' formula for your upcoming cycle.

WLB - thanks for sharing, sounds like you have a great plan - here's hoping and praying that this new cycle is the one. 450 is a large dose! Happy sniffing is less than two weeks!

M2C - you did a great job with your personals! hope you are travelling along ok after all you've been through lately. thinking of you

buliej - haven't had the chance to check but hoping all is going well for you.

Babydreamtime - Hello!! so nice of you to drop in. Hope everything is going amazingly well with your two little bubba's and life is wonderful. Will probably 'stalk' you a bit - hope that's ok! It's just so great when a long timer 'makes' it - gives us all hope.

Hello to everyone else

Dutchie - I'm really sorry that your one precious egg was too immature. You sound like you have some good ideas for next time - I really hope they make the difference that you need.

Big "hello" to everyone else. I had a lot of trouble getting onto bellybelly over the weekend - not sure if others did too.

AFM - things are looking OK so far. When I have the courage, I will probably post in the pregnancy after M/Cs thread. Of course I will be lurking and posting here without the "AFM" prohibited parts....
