There's a Starbucks at Westmead
| Nah, not anymore. They closed down most of the Starbucks joints in Australia. Bummer because the hot chocolate at the caf is crap, LOL! (Not that I go there anymore.) Quote: |
Macca's in the hospital - seems like a contradiction.
| Actually, seems quite sensible to me... eat your Big Mac then get treated for your heart attack straight away! PMSL!
I thought it was really lovely... but kind of weird because of the epi. My friend swore by her epis for both her births - said she was laughing while pushing. Weird to me cause the births I've seen on the screen (and my own) have been drug free and the mum has been 'in the zone' and not particularly sociable!
I too was thinking, give that baby back to her mum! But must admit to shedding a tear when I heard the cry.

I haven't had the experience of child birth, I couldn't believe how different it was to the typical labours shown on tv/movies. This was a good viewing experience - Mumma was so calm and even asking for photos and hungry. Hmmm, should I order an epi? Or was this birth atypical?

CharlieBrownGirl, whether you have an epidural is completely up to you, BellyBelly is all about choice - but informed choice. It's worth checking out our articles so that when it comes to it, you're well informed about the pros and cons.
For what it's worth, my first birth was a waterbirth and it didn't occur to me to ask for pain relief - it was painful, but through breathing and the water and good support I birthed my bub, and felt like I could do it all again afterwards! My second felt so painful at the time, but that was because my labour was very fast (under an hour) so I doubt there'd have been time for pain relief at a hospital in any case.
What you eventually decide will be up to you, there are positives and risks, and if you make an educated decision and are able to own that, I know that there's nothing more that I would be asking of myself or anyone else.
ETA: I don't know Breeze, I didn't get that. |
