Question Calming / Birth CD's

I hope this is the right forum to put this in but I am looking for recomendations for any CD's that assist with prepration for birth and during the labour process?

I am naturally a very anxious and up tight person and I'm looking for something to help keep me calm. I've read a bit about hypnobirthing and was wondering if there are any CD's or audio things with it on it.

Thanks for any recommendations!

In difficult situations you have three choices: be a carrot, egg or coffee bean. In hot water; the carrot goes soft, they give up; the egg goes hard, they loose their soft side;
but the coffee bean makes coffee, they change the situation they're in.

There's lots of hypnosis for birth tracks on iTunes and Ebay. GentleBirth is a homestudy hypnobirthing program that comes with a book and 3 CDs that you learn at home rather than at a class along with an online support group. It's a great tool which compliments the care you're receiving from your midwife/doctor and can be used alongside any alternative therapies too. If you prefer to go to classes then there's also Calmbirth and Hypnobirthing too - it just depends on where you live.

Wishing you a wonderful birth !

I just made my own mix of music that I find relaxing and I listened to a lot of Andrea Bocelli while I was in labour. DH wasn't happy about that but I said "my labour, my choice"

A few of the Dads I teach have made up compliations for their partners with music that had special meaning to the Mums...music for their wedding dance etc... (all of those great memories produce endorphins in Mum's body !) and all of those special songs will have even more meaning when you hear them after you baby is born :-)

A Labour of Love is great!

I always offer this to clients and most are very happy with it.

Snap, Tobily!

Dailymotion - Naitre_enchantee, une vidéo de magalidieux. accouchement, chant, prénatal, vibrations, naturel

You might enjoy this too. Turn the volume right up, and listen carefully - much of the voice over is in French, but you can hear some English, and the affirmations she speaks to herself are just beautiful and powerful.

There's also this on Youtube - Conscious Birth Affirmations

How about choosing some music that really speaks to you, and writing out your own affirmations - pretty much, your own self-talk.
