Default A new kid on the block :)

I've been reading here for a couple of weeks and thought it's time to write.

My partner and I are from Melbourne and we've been together for just under 8 years now, and been talking about having a little one for a while. We got a great friend who donated his sperm, sign the contract, took HIV and sperm analysis tests and all - and yesterday finally our first ever two weeks wait has started!!!!

It was quite an amazing experience - I could actually feel the little swimmers do their thing and swim!

Anyhow... It's nice to find a forum full of people going through the same thing etc. - now I'm just going to cross my fingers for a couple of weeks

Cheers,
Nat

Going a bit crazy

Two days after ovulation I was having some abdominal cramping and slight nausea and a really strong "pregnant feeling" (not that I was ever pregnant before or tried to get pregnant!), then the cramps went and the nausea stayed accompanied by some lovely bloating... yesterday just the bloating was still around (and I'm not eating that much!) and today it's all gone and I'm just feeling super-emotional and cried for no reason - I'm not sad at all and not even very stressed! I mean, I can't wait for the wait to be over but I'm pretty relaxed.

I told my partner I'm either pregnant, sick (coz I've been feeling like crap for quite a few days) or crazy (coz I want to be pregnant so much my body's making up symptoms). I choose door number one

The feeling pregnant thing is coming and going being is often replaced by an "I must be crazy" feeling... I really hope I'm one of the lucky ones who get pregnant quickly - coz this 2ww thing SUCKS!

You sound exactly the same as me when I was preg last month! So fingers crossed for you!!
I have the overly emotional thing happening this time round as well, even worse than last time, so I'm hoping that's a good sign!

I still don't know what's going on... SORRY IT'S GONNA BE A BIT GRAPHIC... My period was 2 days late and the pregnancy test was negative, but it's all weird - I had very mild period pain for 5 days before it came (I never have any pain till I get it), it started with brown spotting then pink spotting and now it's still not a full blown period but certainly not spotting either, it's sort of in the middle and different - sort of pinkish and watery with dark pink bits in it (I'm very sorry for grossing you out!). And my pain comes and goes, gets stronger and weaker - which is not usually the case for me - I usually take 2 panadines every 4 hours to numb the pain a bit coz it kills me so much.

So I don't know what to think - I thought that was too much bleeding for implantation... maybe a very early miscarriage??? And my period being 2 days late is very uncommon as well.

Anyhow, I'm confused as all hell and have no idea what's going on. I guess if the bleeding stops I might take another test - but I already called our donor to get some of his swimmers next week.

Oh and I forgot to say - to add to the weirdness - a few days after ovulation my temp went up to 37.0 for 8 days (never happened before, it's usually 36.7-36.8). It dropped yesterday (the day I started spotting) to 36.8, and today went up to 37.1.

Ahhhhhh! I'm going crazy.

It could be so many things hun xxx I had an expreience like that on my first, even a very faint BFP test... I did have the HCG shot (went through clinic) so I just wasn't sure. My FS said it could be an early loss, or my body reacting to the stress of TTC... or a while range of things in between.

I don't really know what else to say but only time will tell. Good luck and I'll be watching to see how it all goes xxx

Hmmm well like Leasha said, it could be heaps of different things. I did have the "period pain" for about 4 or 5 days before I had my early miscarriage, but then I never had the spotting, it was just really extra heavy bleeding straight away (sorry if tmi!).
Let us know how it goes. I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks girls. We don't know if it was an early miscarriage or just my period... my partner is sure it was an early miscarriage because it's so odd and I'm usually so regular.

The blood got all heavy, and today my temp dropped from 37.1 to 36.6, and it's a weird period.

I'm a bit down and disappointed... and I feel silly because it was just our first ever month trying but it just all felt so different...

Default Update

Second cycle wasn't successful either. Had similar pains on the left but more persistent and they didn't stop even after getting my period Doc can't see anything so I'm going to see an acupuncturist - hopefully that will be helpful. Hopefully 3rd time (next week) lucky!!

I just can't stand that pain... it's been over 3 weeks of being in pain now. If I were pregnant it'd be ok, coz at least there's a good reason. But being in pain for 3 weeks for no apparent reason just drives me nuts!

You might want to go and see a doctor about ectopic pregnancy - I don't know what the symptoms are besides abdominal pain (never had one) but doesn't sound good to me.

Also, sorry to hear about your first month's effort. I had an early miscarriage/weird period similar soon after we started trying, but nothing since. Hope it works out for you soonest!
