Accessing Donor Semen from Denmark

Hello babybelly people,

Has anyone had experience using the European Sperm Bank in Australia? We are 2 girlse who have found a donor we would like to use from Denmark and it seems we have to jump through quite a few hoops in Melbourne to use him.

We're thinking of going to Canberra (to get around the Victorian legal issues) if they will accept the import of this semen - there does not seem to be a lot of information out there though. So my question here is:

1 - Has anyone had experience using donor semen from Denmark?

2 - Has anyone here had experience in importing semen to an Australian clinic and if so can you please (pretty please) give me a heads up as to what is involved? (I have a feeling this question will already be answered in these threads and will be looking through them tonight when I have some time)

Vic has just changed their laws, if you havent heard So no need to trundle off to Canberra now

I'd suggest looking on the clinic's website for their donor sperm programs, most clinics have a fair amount of info available. Because of the shortage of Australian donors a lot do import from overseas. You'll have to ask the clinics their policies, as they can vary a lot. Sorry that I can't help, we used an Australian sperm donor, but good luck
