Yesterday my 5 yr old DS was complaining of sore inner cheeks.

Today he is still is so much pain and is drooling from the mouth and crying in his sleep.
I gave him panadol before bed and also some antiseptic numbing gel for the inside of his mouth.
I am really stumped.

I just thought maybe he bit them in the middle of the night and they will heal up soon.

But it seems maybe it could be something else if he is reacting like this.

I don't know what to do?????
HELP!!!!!

Thought it was interesting how the doctors in their test were as confused on facts as the truckies and tradies (They gave the true/false questions to both groups).

Anyway here it is. (http://www.theage.com.au/lifestyle/wellbeing/big-fat-lies-20091118-imkh.html)
Thought it was helpful to realise how to be the most efficient in trying to stay healthy. :D

Which elliptical is best?

Hi there, just wanting to pick member's brains on which is the best elliptical to get.

I am quite tall, and my wife is 14 inches shorter than I am, so we are after an elliptical to suit both of us in regards to stride length and things like that.

I have done a bit of research into them in general and its a common thing that you get a numbness in your feet? Some manufacturers have adjustable foot pedals and things like that (so I have read!). I have looked at an american review and they recommended a quality mid range - I think the company was Sole - but it is rebranded in Australia as Healthstream.

Does anyone know anything about this product, or if the one they have is just as good - or any other tips?

Oh - and not TOO expensive either - we're just about to have another baby ;)

Thanks

Do you feel fit?

I'm slightly chubby which I blame entirely on my baby (& chocolate)but I feel fit. I could walk anywhere, find 5 kms no drama for a walk, love hills, struggle with pushups but I reckon hauling a 9kg baby around all day will take care of my arms eventually. But I love the way I feel, even if my weight is not perfect & I'm not a skinny mini.

*Do you feel fit? Do you love the way your body feels strong and capable? Do you forgive the love handles when you trust your legs to get you where you want to go?*

Just a passing thought really, but I wanted to know what the rest of the BBers out there were feeling about their bodies.

Mods I didn't think this needed to be in AO but please move if it does, thanks.

I was at a party last night and a friend who had broken his arm decided to have a full check up while he was at the Dr. The Dr told him to have blood tests to check for many things including STD's. My friend said it wasn;t neccessary because he always practises safe sex and the Dr told him that 60% of the population have chlamydia :o He couldn't believe it!!!

Also I had a friend who had Herpes (hmmm sounds like I have a lot of "friends" but I'm really not talking about myself  ) and her Dr told her that 1 in 8 people have Herpes :o

It amazes me that if it's that easy to catch, that MORE people don't have STD's...I mean you would think that they're either easy to catch or not IYKWIM???

It really, really shoked me!

for the first time i have experienced some moles being taken out and all i can say is OUCH and PITA! they actually werent cancerous or anything just annoying. the Dr said to keep the bandage ON for 5 days and i cant get them wet so i cant have a shower for 5 days. one is in the arm pit and one is upper/inner thigh! we dont have a bath so i cant even do a shallow bath with leg out thing! :-( have to do the sponge bath and it sux! it sounds a bit strange though.. anyone else had moles out and been told to keep them bandaged for 5 days and not to change the bandage?

PLUS- he said they wouldnt hurt in the days afterwards. well he lied, they do hurt. especially if i move in a way that pulls on them! is that normal?

For a couple of weeks I've been feeling OFF....not myself at all. I've had BT done and am waiting for the results but I fully expect them to come back negative.

Physically I've had AF-like pains, lower back ache, blinding headaches, tiredness and now the latest is tender boobies. My mind has been all over the show....mood swings terribly :(

I'm leaning heavily towards something hormonal. And I know from reading this you will think I'm pregnant instantly.:p

BUT I have a Mirena in, and have done so now for 16 months. I did POAS a couple of weeks ago but nothing. I've never had any trouble like this before, and I'm not sure how the Mirena could be contributing as from what I understand it's a constant slow release of hormone....so I'm not sure what could have changed to cause these symptoms?

Ok so I have been on a health kick for a little while and have been exercising and eating well. I have lost 10kg in the last 8 weeks not to bad if I do say so myself:)

The problems is the exercise while I love it when I am there (well love might be too strong a word) and feel fantastic afterwards the hard part is going.

I have not missed a session yet but can feel myself slipping.

Although last time I purposly got a bike in the front so I could perve on the HOT, and I do mean HOT, young guy doing his weights work out. Hmmm maybe that will keep me motivated for a little while longer....just dont tell my DH :)

Seriously any tips to keep dragging my arse out there would be great :)
