hi guys.
*please note,i dont want this to turn into a why we should, why we shouldnt debate, ta!*

DD1 had her 8 week vacs done on monday, i feel physically sick at the thought of all those things running through her system. im leaning towards delaying all her upcoming Vacc's because i dont think they're necessary for a little baby and even then only getting certain vaccines.
My question is DD1(fully vacced) goes to day care 1 day a week, am i making the wrong choice in delaying DD2's immunisations by possibly exposing her to illnesses that DD1 could pick up from day care?

And if u delayed or partially vaccinated, what were your schedules and which vaccines did u choose to have?

I'd also like to thank this wonderfull forum for bringing it my attention that we DONT have to vaccinate, wish i'd known that when i had DD1

Are pregnant women receiving vaccines endangering their baby?

---Quote---
It has always been a principle of medicine that one should not vaccinate pregnant women, except in extreme cases, because the risk to the baby is just too high. Recently, we have seen two examples of violation of this policy. When the HPV vaccine Gardasil was first released the CDC and the manufacturer (Merck Pharmaceutical Company) recommended that it be given to pregnant women.

Shortly after beginning this dangerous practice it was ordered halted because a number of women were losing their babies and babies were being born with major malformations.

It is known that stimulating a woman's immune system during midterm and later term pregnancy significantly increases the risk that her baby will develop autism during childhood and schizophrenia sometime during the teenage years and afterward. (1)

Compelling scientific evidence also shows an increased risk of seizures in the baby and later as an adult. (2) In fact, a number of neurodevelopmental and behavioral problems can occur in babies born to women immunologically stimulated during pregnancy. (3-6)

It is true that serious flu infections or E. coli infections during pregnancy are a major risk for all these complications, but a woman's risk of becoming infected, is a very small fraction of 1 %, yet the CDC, medical doctors, and the media are announcing that all pregnant women should be vaccinated for the swine flu.

The media repeats the manufacturers' mantra that this vaccine is produced exactly like the seasonal flu, when in fact it is not. Yes, they use chicken eggs, but the rest has been fast tracked and many shortcuts on safety procedures have been allowed. Many physicians are calling for all pregnant women to be vaccinated with at least three vaccines, two of which contain mercury. There is also evidence to show that a large number of these women will gain no protection from the vaccine.

Dr. Michael Bronze, a professor of internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, writing for emedicine medscape.com (WebMD), states that the risk of a pregnant women being hospitalized with the H1N1 infection is 0.32 per 100,000 pregnant women (which is 1 in 300,000 pregnant women). One can safely say, based on the Australian/New Zealand experience (at the peak of their flu season) and the American data somewhere in the middle of their flu season, that pregnant women have about a 99.97% chance they will not become so sick as to require hospital care at any level. The death rate of pregnant women who were admitted to the ICU was 7.7%, a fairly low figure for infectious ICU patients. Remember, most patients admitted to the hospital are admitted for hydration and are not that ill in terms of the infection itself.

The countries in the southern hemisphere have already gone through their fall and winter, that is the seasons of peak flu infections. Epidemiologists and virologists have been surprised at how mild this flu pandemic has been in the Southern Hemisphere, with relatively few deaths and few hospitalizations in most areas.

Dr. Bronze also notes that animal studies have shown that vaccines harm unborn babies and that no safety studies have been done in humans. A recent study done by Dr. Laura Hewitson, a professor of obstetrics at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center, found that a single vaccine used in human babies, when used in newborn monkeys, caused significant abnormalities in brainstem development. (7) This mass vaccination program for H1N1 variant virus will be the largest experiment on pregnant women in history and could end as a monumental disaster.

Every pregnant women in America needs to see the video interview (below) regarding the dangers of pregnant women receiving vaccine.

How safe is safe? And safe for whom? While many are saying it is safe; there are other reports that indicate that as many as 30,000 people could be expected by the CDC to experience severe side effects from the H1N1 virus vaccine. The FDA is providing a phone number for severe side effects and how to get compensation for any such effects just in case. See below.

A report saying they do not expect the same number of people in 2009 to be affected by GBS (Guillain-Barre Syndrome) as in 1976; two other studies did demonstrate a small risk of approximately 1 additional case of GBS per 1 million persons vaccinated. CDC H1N1 Flu | 2009 H1N1 Influenza Vaccine and Pregnant Women: Information for Healthcare Providers (http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/providers_qa.htm)

Dr. Anthony Fauci stated this morning on CBS?s Early Show that with millions of people vaccinated with the H1N1 vaccine, it has proved safe; however, one statement made by him leaves one wondering. ?What is the end of the story?? He pointed to a study of pregnant woman that more than 90 percent of the patients who got the vaccine mounted "a response that you would have predicted?" One would ask, what are those predictions? (See article below regarding additional findings and warnings.)

You will find known side effects and what to do in case of severe reactions; even a phone number where you may be compensated if you are adversely affected. Remember that the makers of this vaccine; the government and the provider are protected by law and given immunity from prosecution in case of extreme adverse results.

Dr. Anthony Fauci stated that people should not worry about getting the vaccine because they have deemed it safe and effective. (See below) He also indicted that a single dose of the H1N1 produces a standard response in providing immunity. However, this was from the clinical trial which involved far fewer individuals receiving the immunization; and did not mention any possible long term effects. He said there was strong data indicating the vaccination will protect you; but was a little shy of explaining any adverse side effects experienced from those taking the shot. He said this was not a new vaccine as it was produced in the same way as others in the past.

CDC: What you should know about H1N1 http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-inact-h1n1.pdf

Many are complaining about the vaccine shortages in light of terrorist prisoners in Cuba receiving the vaccine when it is not available to children in nursery school and regular schools. The argument being it was to protect those in charge of the prison ? a host on Fox News indicated she had an appointment for her children to receive the vaccine; and was told there were none available at that time; but the prisoners at Gitmo would get theirs. She said, ?Well, let them give the vaccine to the guards, and let the prisoners wait like the children have to.?

While they tell you to report any adverse problems with the vaccine, will it be like in the case with all those whose daughters took the Gardasil shot to prevent cervical cancer and either died or were injured permanently; but the reports did not result in this drug being taken off the market. It seems a certain amount of adverse reactions are acceptable to them. And there are still those who wish to see it mandatory for girls as young as 9 years old like the mumps and measles shots. Gardasil is manufactured by Merck who is just coming off a massive liability paying out huge sums of money with regard to their pulled drug, Vioxx.

Schools continue to close because of the outbreak of flu ? last week it was reported that some 600 schools were closed for periods of time due to the flu. With all the teachers and principals have on their plates already, now they are responsible to help prevent the spread among their students; by making sure sick kids go home and stay there until they are no longer contagious.

The CDC reported that 19 children died last week from the flu bringing the total of deaths to children up to 114. Some of these children had underlying health problems. Many parents are very concerned about the vaccine ? from either perspective. This flu seems to attack the lungs and anyone who is already compromised with lung problems is likely to have complications. Many parents are between a rock and a hard place in deciding if their children, who are healthy, should continue going to school if there is an outbreak at the school; since so many have not received the immunization. About 600 schools have shut their doors already for a period of time during this flu season due to an outbreak of the H1N1 virus.

?With the trend expected to continue, school closings will almost certainly exceed last spring's total of 700 - despite federal officials recommending at the beginning of the school year that schools stay open and not disrupt normal activities for the pandemic.?

While the TV docs say there are mild reactions to the flu vaccine, they stop short of saying what they are. They merely say the reactions are similar to the seasonal flu shot. Below are comments from a report which indicates the concerns of those not wishing to take the vaccine and some responses from the medical community.

This is a report from London Associated Press

?Hundreds of people on any given day will die, develop the paralyzing Guillain-Barre syndrome or have spontaneous abortions, and that doesn't necessarily mean that their swine flu vaccination shot was to blame, a new study says.

They found that in Britain, for every 10 million people who might get the swine flu shot, about 22 cases of Guillain-Barre syndrome and 6 unexplained deaths will likely occur within 6 weeks of vaccination - and probably won't be caused by the vaccine.

In the U.S., experts expect that for every 1 million pregnant women who get the swine flu shot, 397 will have a spontaneous abortion within a day.?

Only if the rates of these events exceed these baseline numbers should experts suspect the vaccine might be responsible."

So what is an expecting mother to do? Many are looking for the single dose hypodermic which does not contain any preservative which seems to be what causes any adverse side effects. However, now there are shortages of both; but even more so these vaccines.

London AP report: ?People die every day for lots of reasons, but we tend not to think about that when a mass immunization campaign is happening," said Steven Black of Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio, one of the paper's authors. "We're not saying we don't need to look at vaccine safety, but let's do it judiciously. Black, like several of the study's authors, received grants from companies that make swine flu vaccine.

Mass immunization campaigns for diseases like measles and yellow fever have frequently been undermined by rumors that the vaccines cause dangerous side effects. Still, rumors may also mask legitimate vaccine concerns. In Nigeria, fears that the oral polio vaccine causes HIV were unfounded but concern about the vaccine was not entirely unwarranted: it does cause polio in rare instances.
The greatest danger ahead is that there will be coincidental events between (swine flu) vaccination and adverse health events and people will draw conclusions that are not based on science," said Leonard Marcus of Harvard University's School of Public Health, an expert not linked to the study. (However, if someone dies from this vaccine; how do they base that on science? And what difference does it make to the survivors?)

Report continues: ?Marcus said health officials must be vigilant in case any unforeseen side effects do pop up. When side effects happen to an individual, it's devastating. And it's human nature to want to link it to a recent vaccination," Marcus said. "But it's also possible to be compassionate without leaping to conclusions. Of the thousands of people so far who have received the swine flu vaccine worldwide, no side effects more serious than a sore arm, fever, or muscle pain have been reported.?
However this information is from the CDC regarding side effects from this vaccine ? it seems there is a double message being put forth.

Are there any side effects to the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine?
?CDC expects that any side effects following vaccination with the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine would be rare. If side effects occur, they will likely be similar to those experienced following seasonal influenza vaccine. Mild problems that may be experienced include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given, fainting (mainly adolescents), headache, muscle aches, fever, and nausea. If these problems occur, they usually begin soon after the shot and last 1-2 days. Life-threatening allergic reactions to vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot is given.?

?After vaccination you should look for any unusual condition, such as a high fever or behavior changes. Signs of a serious allergic reaction can include difficulty breathing, hoarseness or wheezing, swelling around the eyes or lips, hives, paleness, weakness, a fast heart beat or dizziness. If any unusual condition occurs following vaccination, seek medical attention right away. Tell your doctor what happened, the date and time it happened, and when the vaccination was given. Ask your doctor, nurse, or health department to report the reaction by filing a Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) form. Or you can file this report yourself through the VAERS Web site at Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (http://www.vaers.hhs.gov). You may call 1-800-822-7967 to receive a copy of the VAERS form. VAERS is not able to provide medical advice.?

A complete list of possible side effects from both the flu shot and the nasal spray (LAIV or Flu Mist) vaccines are below:

The flu shot: The viruses in the flu shot are killed (inactivated), so you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. Some minor side effects that could occur are:
Soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given
Fever (low grade)
Aches
Nausea
If these problems occur, they begin soon after the shot and usually last 1 to 2 days. Almost all people who receive influenza vaccine have no serious problems from it. However, on rare occasions, flu vaccination can cause serious problems, such as severe allergic reactions. A federal program has been created to help pay for the medical care and other specific expenses of certain persons who have a serious reaction to this vaccine. For more information about this program, call 1-888-275-4772 or visit the program?s website at: http://www.hrsa.gov/countermeasurescomp/default.htm
.
Go to this site and see the estimated number of people who could be adversely affected by this vaccine. Based on a percentage rate, it is estimated that if 300,000,000 people are vaccinated there could result in 300,000 dying or becoming maimed according to this report.
CDC States H1N1 Vaccine May Maim and Kill 30,000 Americans, FDA Requires Minimal Efficacy (http://www.theflucase.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1428%3Acdc-states-h1n1-vaccine-may-maim-and-kill-30000-americans-fda-requires-minimal-efficacy&catid=41%3Ahighlighted-news&Itemid=105&lang=en)

CDC States H1N1 Vaccine May Maim and Kill 30,000 Americans, FDA Requires Minimal Efficacy (http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=14950)
This site indicates that the CDC expects as many as 30,000 people to suffer unfavorable side effects from the H1N1.

Woman to Woman: It is the intent of this writer to merely give information available and in no way is indicating that one should or should not get this vaccine. This has to be a matter for each individual to decide; knowing that with or without the vaccine, there are risks. One major complication from this vaccine has already occurred ? the public not knowing who to believe when we are only given half the truths and information. What the government deems acceptable collateral damages to individuals ? that don?t cut it when it is you or your loved one who is the collateral damage, huh? It is of little concern what the allowed percentages are versus the outcome if our own folks fall within that percentage.
Many times we just have to bite the bullet and make a decision; but it is better to make it with as much education and knowledge as possible.

?In all thy ways, acknowledge Him, (God) and He will direct thy paths.? God expects us to use the brain He gave us. He expects us to be informed ? for knowledge is power ? and many will take this vaccine with possible side effects; and many will choose not to take it with possibly of dire consequences. It could be a heads or tails either way. But still on that coin is the phrase, ?In God we trust.? While this vaccine was manufactured for the masses ? God did not create any two people just alike. This is a situation that should be bathed in prayer and then the decision made with good conscience that one is doing the right thing ? either way. This is one of those times when we must decide for ourselves.

Or you can file this report yourself through the VAERS Web site at Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.

CDC States H1N1 Vaccine May Maim and Kill 30,000 Americans, FDA Requires Minimal Efficacy
CDC States H1N1 Vaccine May Maim and Kill 30,000 Americans, FDA Requires Minimal Efficacy

During our community nurse visit on Friday, I was advised that DS should get his two month immunisation early - at 6 weeks - because of the whooping cough outbreak in NSW. Anyone else given this advice?

DH and I do take this seriously - we and the grandparents have been immunised for whooping cough and swine flu. But I figure the immunisation schedule is set at 2 months for a reason...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Dr. Sears: Should Pregnant Women Get the Swine Flu Vaccine?

Should pregnant women get H1N1 vaccine?
By LANDON HALL
THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER

Dr. Bob Sears has tried to avoid controversy during the swine flu outbreak. But his recommendation that pregnant women not get the H1N1 vaccine departs from the rest of the medical community.

The federal government and most physicians have spoken in unison on the issue, and they advise pregnant women to receive the injected form of the vaccine because of the virulence of the H1N1 strain and the vulnerability of a pregnant woman's immune system. Two Orange County pregnant women are among 28 who have died nationally since the pandemic began in April. But Sears says the vaccine has never been sufficiently tested for safety on this demographic.

"As a doctor, we swear an oath to 'First, do no harm.' So I have a hard time recommending a treatment that doesn't show it causes no harm," he said. "It's not just the H1N1 vaccine that's not been tested. The regular flu vaccine has not been tested in pregnant women, either, to show that it's safe in babies. That kind of boggles my mind, because the regular flu vaccine has been around for years, and there have been plenty of opportunities for the companies to do some safety testing on them so pregnant women can feel more comfortable about them."

Dr. Felice L. Gersh, an OB/GYN at Women's Medical Group of Irvine who has been practicing for 28 years, echoes the assessment of governmental health agencies, who say the vaccine is safe and are mounting a campaign to urge pregnant women to get the H1N1 and seasonal-flu vaccines. Gersh said Sears and other doctors skeptical of the H1N1 vaccine are "going against the weight of scientific evidence."

"Sometimes in medicine, as in life, you have to go with your best guess using available data," she said. "Everything can't be signed, sealed and guaranteed. This is a judgment call. And all the data is in favor of getting the vaccine."

Christina Chambers, an epidemiologist and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego, said Sears' views "don't hold water." She added that history has shown that pregnant women are at greater risk of hospitalization and death during flu pandemics.

"One day you could be feeling fatigued and achy, the next day you could be in a coma," she said.

Because he's part of a nationally trusted brand, Sears' opinions carry great influence. His pediatrician father, Bill, and registered-nurse mother, Martha, wrote a series of books ("The Birth Book," "The Baby Book") that have become indispensible references for expectant and new parents. Sears, his parents and his brother Jim operate out of their seaside practice in Capistrano Beach.

"Dr. Bob," as patients and staffers call him, published his first solo book, "The Vaccine Book: Making the Right Decision for Your Child," in 2007. His inclusion of an "alternate vaccination schedule" brought him criticism from some fellow doctors who see his views as anti-vaccine, an accusation he hotly denies. But in recent postings about H1N1 on the family Web site, AskDrSears.com, his neutrality might have brought more questions than reassurance.

On July 30, he was undecided about the upcoming mass-vaccination effort. But he told readers that "what you can fret about is whether or not the government will make the vaccine mandatory." The first commenter wrote: "Way to fan the hysteria fire there Dr. Bob."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has stated that the H1N1 vaccine is made the same way as the seasonal-flu vaccine, which "millions of Americans have received" over the years. Sears says that's a "completely unscientific statement." He points out, correctly, that no widespread clinical trial of either vaccine has been conducted on pregnant women. The 19-page product insert issued by Sanofi Pasteur, the largest of the five companies that supply the U.S. with H1N1 vaccines, acknowledges that it's "not known whether these vaccines can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity." It adds that the vaccine "should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed."

Chambers, who runs a support center out of UCSD to answer questions about H1N1 (in California, 1-800-532-3749), is gathering information for a future vaccine study. She said symptoms of H1N1 include fever, fatigue, muscle aches, headaches, runny nose, cough and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea. She urges women to get vaccinated, and if they feel symptoms to seek medical attention. Antiviral medications like Tamiflu can be prescribed within 48 hours of the symptoms arising.

"We don't know of any risk from the vaccine, but we do know the risks from getting the virus," Chambers said.

I just took DD to get her vaccination (she was only 3 months late for it, whoops!) and after they had given her three needles, they looked in her book and said that she was way overdue for a hep b one - should have had it at 6 months.

Apparently the schedule for tasmanian vaccinations are totally different than the queensland one - and I wanna know why!!! Surely we as a country can get our act together and make every state the same when it comes to vaccinations!?!?!? I mean FFS, in this day and age with people moving from job to job, and state to state, surely we can have ONE thing that is the same countrywide?

So they felt sorry for her and said that they will give it to her in another 3 months when I take her in for her 18 month ones.

Still bloody ridiculous though

Susan Brinkman reports that the leading expert Diane Harper dropped a huge bombshell on her stunned audience at the 4th International Public Conference on Vaccination, which took place in Regston, Virginia a few days ago, when she said that not only had there been NO efficiency trials of the HPV vaccine Gardasil, in young girls under 15 she also revealed that 70% of all HPV infections resolve themselves in less than year 'without treatment' and 90% in less than 2 years, leaving her audience seriously doubting that if there was any real need for young women to be vaccinated for HPV at all. She said that Gardasil will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates. When asked, why she was now speaking out, Dr Harper said:-

"I want to be able to sleep with myself when I go to bed at night".

This is not the first time that this brave professional has spoken out against the HPV vaccinations Gardasil and Cervarix. Only a few weeks ago Lucy Johnston a UK journalist reported her saying similar to her when she spoke to her on the Cervarix HPV vaccine. In her article HPV Vaccine 'as deadly as the cancer' she wrote:-

"Dr Diane Harper, who was involved in the clinical trials of the controversial drug Cervarix, said the jab was being "over-marketed" and parents should be properly warned about the potential side effects.

Authorities in the UK should be on the alert because its sister vaccine, Gardasil, used in America, has already been associated with 32 deaths, she said."

In an article Hide Your Daughters ? Worst Vaccine Bill Ever ? The Health Sciences Institute Diane Harper was reported to have said:-

"Even if everyone was vaccinated, we would still have cervical cancer. I don?t want people to be lulled into thinking this will prevent cancer."

In the article Could the Gardasil vaccine actually help increase cervical cancer rates -The Health Sciences Institute again it is reported that Diane Harper said:-

"Another gray area is the duration. It appears to remain effective for at least five years, but we have no idea how long it will last in the real world. And that could mean that girls vaccinated at 11 or 12 actually lose protection when they?ll need it most ? but it?s impossible to know that until after large numbers of vaccinated girls contract the virus"

This means that no one really knows if the vaccine works or how long it works for and even worse is the fact that no one will know the answer to either of these questions until a large number of VACCINATED girls begin to contract the virus and possibly die from cervical cancer.

So far Diane Harper has stated these facts:-

FACT 90% of HPV infections resolve themselves in less than two years.

FACT There has been no testing of the HPV vaccine in girls under the age of 15

FACT Parents are not being warned of the side effects of either Cervarix or Gardasil

FACT No one knows how long these vaccines work for

FACT There have been over 32 deaths associated with Gardasil

This is very clear evidence from the mouth of an expert reported in several newspapers, journals and conferences confirming that not only are young girls being used as 'laboratory rats' by the drug companies we are putting our faith into but also by the Governments who are recommending these vaccines.

A few months ago I wrote the article Girls used as Guinea Pigs in HPV Trials Admits GSK where I gave links to paper work which backs up what this expert says in reference to the HPV vaccines. The paperwork said:-

"The initial effect of vaccination is favourable: vaccination leads to the formation of antibodies against the target hrHPVs and thus to protection against infection by those hrHPVs. This in turn brings about a major short-term reduction in the incidence of the precursors of cervical cancer. It is known that the development of such precursors is a prerequisite for the subsequent development of the cancer. Vaccination against cervical cancer itself. However, whether vaccination does in fact protect against cervical cancer will not be known for many years to come."

The Child Health Safety website asked the very important question a few days ago, they asked-

"Do you really want to trust the safety of your children to drugs and vaccines from a company which behaves like this?"

This was in an article they wrote entitled More Fraud By Drug Giant Merck ? US $650 Million when they wrote of the latest Merck Misdemeanour's.

Based on the evidence I have recently seen my answer to the above question is an resounding no.
