| | Cant deal anymore ='(
I am seriously thinking about having a hysterectomy.. i really cant deal with the pain anymore
Right at this moment i am in so much pain that i am just about screaming in pain i am bawling my eyes out and keep saying to myself i cant do this i cant do this. I have never been in this much pain and i really cant handle it, i have a very low pain tolerance. I know that everyday isn't like this but i can't afford to have any more time off work, i will not let this condition hold me back from living a normal life.
I actually had an interview today and the cramping and severe pain started as i was on the bus home. I got into town where DP works and i stumbled into his work in tears, i just broke down i couldnt walk properly i couldnt talk. He paid for me to get a taxi home, i got so upset with him because he looks at me as though im just over exaggerating and i wish i was! i said to him if child birth is this pain full then i cant do it
I'm sorry if this makes no sense or if your sick of my whinging i just have no one to talk to i have no friends who understand what im going through.

I don't have endo, but I just wanted to offer you some hugs and hope that things will settle down for you soon. This suggestion may seem obvious or futile or something you've already tried, but I find that when I can't handle period pain anymore that heat and pressure on the pain help a lot. My hot water bottle is my best friend at that time. And Advil

Oh you poor thing, it's awful isn't it? I'm sure you've tried every painkiller and alternative remedy under the sun - nothing every really worked for me either.
Have you seen a specialist at all - sometimes surgery helps.
For what it's worth, for me the period pain was actually worse than the pain of contractions. Labour was still very tough, don't get me wrong, but it was different in that it was incredibly intense and exhausting, rather than purely painful. (don't know if that makes you feel any better )

What's the most annoying thing is i finished AF a week ago. So i have no idea why i'm having such terrible pains now and this pain i had today was not like any i have ever experienced. I couldn't talk more than a whisper and walking was awful, i just burst straight into tears when i saw my DP.
What finally worked for it was Naprogesic, i worked for a short time in a chemist and i saw many ladies buying it and i had never heard of it nor been referred to it by my doctor... I have a dull pain now but its nothing like what it was a few hours ago.
I know that the symptoms subside when your pregnant so i might just try having a baby and see if that works, though not so sure DP will like that idea. He doesnt want fast forward us TTC. If only men could experience what we go through...

Go see a doctor and see if there's something you can do or something else wrong that's causing this pain.

I have been to my doctor so many times. They aren't able to do much except for put me on the pill have thats SUPPOSED to make me feel better but it only seemed to make me worse. I have an appointment in 2 weeks where they will re do all the tests they did when i was diagnosed. im gonna ask for an ultrasound to make sure my ovaries are ok, and i will be asking for very strong pain killers.

Did you see a gyne or just GP? If they're not taking you seriously then get another referrel to a different doctor. This is seriously impacting your quality of life and could be indicative of some other problem.
All the best

| | Hysteroscopy
I have some information on Hysteroscopy which I would like to share with you.
It's a procedure that allows a gynecologist to look inside your uterus using a hysteroscope, which is a long tube, about the size of a straw, which has a built-in viewing device. It is inserted through the vagina and cervix into the cavity of the uterus (endometrial cavity). The uterine cavity is then distended with fluid and visualized. It is useful for diagnosing and treating some problems that cause infertility, miscarriages, and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Sometimes other procedures, such as laparoscopy, are done at the same time as hysteroscopy.Hysteroscopy is a fairly safe procedure. Problems that can occur happen in less than 1% of cases, but include.Injury to the cervix or uterus, Infection,Heavy bleeding,Side effects from the anesthesia,Although general anesthesia is sometimes used, in the majority of cases it is not necessary. It allows your physician to see inside your uterus and aids in the accurate diagnosis of some medical problems. The procedure and recovery time are usually short.
Take care...

I'm sorry if this makes no sense or if your sick of my whinging i just have no one to talk to i have no friends who understand what im going through. | Hi trying4ababy88 - I can sooooo relate to what you're going through. I'm actually home from work since yesterday with awful period cramping and pain, so bad that it feels like you can't sit, stand, lay down or even walk properly. It's just so horrible and there's really very little that helps with the pain.
I was diagnosed with my endo in 2007 and was originally put on the pill continuously to stop my periods, which helped for a while, but then I randomly started bleeding for weeks on end because the estrogen in my pill was too low. I then started taking a slightly stronger dose and was told to have my withdrawal period again every month. I did that for a while, but again I started bleeding for weeks. I got switched to a high dose pill and then started to suffer from migraines frequently and was told by my GP to stop the pill and was put on a prevantative migraine med. I haven't been on the pill for about 13 months now and although the pain with my periods weren't as painful, the pain started coming back and my periods were causing me agonizing pain. I went back to my GP and gynae who put me on Ponstan for 3 times a day for 2 months and that helped heaps, but that caused problems with my liver function and so I was told to stop the Ponstan. I then got a prescription for Endone, which helped heaps, but made me feel drowsy and sleepy and all I wanted to do for days was just sleep. I'm still taking Endone for my period pains and it's much better than it was a few months ago, but at least takes the edge off the pain for a while now.
I saw my gynae in September for my annual checkup and because I'm wanting to conceive in December this year. He said that he could do another laparoscopy to have a look and clean out my endo if there was a lot again, but because it is so close to when I would like to start TTCing, I decided to wait the 3 more cycles I am to have before TTC and see what happens.
I also understand totally how you feel and what you mean about partners not understanding fully. My DH did not understand why I would bawl my eyes out and curl up on the couch or in bed for days on end in pain.
Sorry for my longgg post and rant and vent, but just thought I'd share my story with you and let you know that you're not alone. I too like you have felt like going and having a hysterectomy many, many times. My Mum had endo in her 20's too and was thankfully able to conceive me and my 2 brothers, but ended up with a full hysterectomy at age 32 and she hasn't had any pain (associated with periods, cysts or fibroids) since (she's 49 now). I've already decided that once I have had kids that I'm going to have a hysterectomy too as I can't deal with the pain and the frustration anymore either.
Have you seen your gynae? If you haven't, I would recommend you see him/her and ask them for other pain treatment options until you can TTC. If your gynae doesn't have any options or treatment plans, I would recommend you get a second opinion.
Hope you are feeling a bit better by now (seeing that you posted this a while back).
Hugs
PS: If you ever want to talk or vent, please feel free to send me a message...

Hey, thanks for sharing your story
Its so good to speak with ladies who are in the same boat as me and know that we are not being hypocondriacts (sp?) alot of my friends and my DP think i am over exaggerating the pain, how i describe the pain is nothing like experiencing it! i have fallen over because the pain has been that intense. I have found naprogesic to be wonderful, not sure if you have heard of it or have used it but its definitely a god send. I haven't had any pains since that horrible day a month ago. But i cant get too cocky as i know any time i can get one. Its like living on egg shells it is such a horrible feeling.
I was put on Yasmin and Diabex for my insulin resistance and the yasmin caused horrible migraines so i was told to stop taking it and the diabex caused me to be nauseas most days and i even vommitted quite a bit but i lost 7kgs on that so i am happy.
I actually have used Endone for when i broke my arm, and yes it does make you sleepy it actually used to knock me out so i only used it a few times. There have been times where i wished i knew where mine was.
I'm not actually seeing a gynae im just seeing my GP but he studied gynaecology so he knows all there is to know, he has been so helpful and so understanding. I haven't had a chance to see him as my work hours are all over the place and he only works wednesdays and fridays. But my next appointment will be him doing more bloods and hopefully i'll get the all clear so i can start focusing on TTC.
My DP said that if i am still experiencing horrible pains that he will support me in getting a full hysterectomy after we have all the kids we want.
I will definitely send you a message if i need a vent and feel free to do the same with me, i know it helps to talk about it. I really don't know what i would do if i hadnt of found this forum, i felt so alone when i was diagnosed i felt that no one understood.

I used to take Ponstan, it helps stop the cramps that cause the pain, also buscopan, they are antispasmotics (sp?). I had pains for SEVEN years before I finally went off at a dr saying I don't plucking care if other women have it worse this is not normal and I won't live like this anymore! Finally got a referal to get me out of the office, had endo lasered off and the pains never been that bad since except during m/c's...
