Hi all, after a response I got on an earlier thread of mine, I thought I'd dip my toes in the water and see if there were any student doulas who might like to assist with my first bub? I wouldn't be booking for sure until after my next u/s but I want to see how many people might be interested before I go looking for someone fully-trained (and thus more expensive)
I'm 11w5d at the moment, due April 23rd (next year, obviously

My husband has a 90% chance of being there (work might not allow him to run off halfway through a shift, but if he's not working at the start of labour there's no way he'd run off) but my mum has more of a 99.999999% chance. She assisted my cousin through her birth, but will obviously have more of an emotional attachment to me, and as such would be a bit more likely to try to push me towards the "easier" options, which I don't want.
I'm not very good at getting across what I want, especially when I'm put on the spot, so I would need someone firm enough to take control for me.
Not sure what else I should put here, I'm fairly certain I've already made this post too long...
