Smile Travelling the Egg/Embryo Donor Path

Hi my name is Shazz

I am new to this so hopefully I am in the right place.

My husband Gordon and I (married for 5 yrs in relationship together for 25) have just gone through a frozen embryo cycle unfortunately it was unsuccessful. We are devastated as we only had one good embryo that went through blastocyst stage. IVF have suggested that we seek an egg/embryo donor as I would not produce enough good eggs to produce a pregnancy due to my age. I am 46 years of age (geez I only look 35) and Gordon is 51 (he too looks much younger!!) lol.

You may be thinking why didn't they start a family long ago and rightly so!!!! We have been a 'romance' couple believing we only needed our friend's children. We are Auntie, Uncle and Godparents to many and we adore children.

I am a social worker in a hospital and my husband is a librarian in a law library. We own our 'purple' house in the Inner West in Sydney.

We understand the process for donation is a very emotional one.

Hello,

I wish I could help you but myself and my husband have just started out on this journey ourselves. But we need donor sperm.

I wish I could donate to you but as of this year I will already be too old to donate. I wish you all the best of luck finding someone. It is hard and I won't tell you to be patient. As it is hard waiting.

Smile stay positive

Hi Shaz
Sending you lots of positive vibes on your journey. There are a lot of forums out there in cyber world that you could join to advertise and receive support. Also advertisements seem to get a random response (Sydney Child, local mags), so give it a go. Broaden your search options interstate, nationally and also overseas. Make a wish board!! Be proactive, think positively and if you believe it, it will happen.

Best wishes, lots of hugs
Babyseeker
