| | Donor Conception General Chatter # 9
This thread is for those who have, for various reasons, decided to utilise a donor to assist in their dream of having a child. It is also a place for those who are donors, are considering donating, or are in the process of donating. Please note that we do not allow posts that advertise for donors or recipeints. This thread is for general chatter and support only. Please ensure that any discussions between donor and recipient regarding donation is not posted in this public forum. Any post which is considered advertising will be removed. Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them. As it's easy to forget to remove your ticker, please be advised that we will remove it for you if it's posted in here. Makes it easier, that's all.

Hi everyone!
For those that missed the news here little Tenacious D was implanted on Monday. The FS was not hopeful but TD had divided into 5 cells, so as BG says, this is promising.
I am also more accepting of things now - I would love to be pregnant, but understand that this may not be.
As I said to Blizz earlier tonight, I am twisting my mind to see whether I am pregnant.
For: sore boobies, swollen abdomen, soft hair
Against: the traditional AF pimple.
Again, we shall have to wait and see.
Millie - good to see you back again! Actually up to Chatter 9 now Glad you had some time and space to clear your mind. Sounds like a lot has happened in a year for you too!
I know that our IVF clinic sent a document to our known donor - if you can't get one from your own clinic I can retrieve it for you and possibly send you a copy.
Joy08 - good luck with this new cycle!
Lieve, Tracey, Cuddlepie - thankyou for your well wishes
Tarkine, Lulu - thanks for being here for me
Blizz - thinking of you, Angus, Paige and DH
Hi to everyone else out there - hope you are travelling well!

Hi peoples I'm pretty sure we are going the donor way now, we were supposed to be going one more cycle of our own but after 5 failures I'd better come to grips with the fact I'm now 44 - and must have scrambled eggs.
I have put my name down on the egg donor list at our fertilty centre, there is four in front of me.

Hi Futuremum,
Glad to have you here - even if it is under circumstances you wouldn't have predicted.
I hope the waiting list moves quickly.
You have probably thought of this already, but is there anyone that you can approach to be a donor? (I hope that's not too blunt - I'm just aware of how long that it may take)

Hey everyone,
Thought I was travelling ok - until I copped a massive headache last night Oh I wish I knew if Tenacious is going to stick! And where I was going for work! And what is happening with my health! And what is going on with DH's health!
So not going as well as I thought...
Blizz,
Sounds like a great way to spend time!
Joy,
That's fantastic news!
Futuremum,
Thought you may have already explored that option Fingers crossed for you that you move up the list soon.

Hi Blizz,
Good to chat to you last night - it was fun!
Had no dreams at all - DH did though - something rambling about the cartoon Beetles and an ex-boss speaking German - but nothing scary!
Going to get ready to go to work soon - one lot of reports to go and that's it (which I'll get done today/tonight)

Hey gargy hang in there - but geez, i can only imagine how the days must be dragging! I started syranel this morning, and already i'm impatient. I've got my 1st scan booked for the 3rd Dec, and it seems so far away....
But also in other ways such good timing. We found out on the weekend that my BIL and his g'friend are pregnant for the first time, and she only just stopped the pill last month! I know i should remain positive, but it doesn't stop me cursing the world at how unfair it can sometimes be. So, feeling a bit sad about that, but so grateful that our cycle has finally commenced. Apart that is, from having to do some preliminary blood tests yesterday and passing out! But that happens everytime I have to give blood.
Anyway, looking forward to the side effects of syranel kicking in - what was it someone on here called it 'hormone head' ??
Oh Joy - good luck with b/test and ultrasound today all goes to plan.
x

Gargy, I had fun too, your DH is hilarious, I am trying to convince DH to come in and join us might have to do your trick and use AO as the bait
it was nice to catch up and have some me time as well, getting nervous about DH going back to work next week (i now know that I officially hate DH's job and having him away so have been encouraging him to grow his business sooner than we had planned so we can get him back up on the coast with us)
have a busy weekend now, Zac's work has their children's christmas party on Saturday only just got the invitation today and then we are off to Launceston to catch up with some of the Tassie BB girls will need a catch up after this I reckon.
good luck to all who are at various stages of IVFing/conceiving
glad you didn't have any other scary dreams.
I had a doozy where I had to take Angus to childcare and it was like checking in a coat at a counter only they cable tied the babies so they couldn't cry and then placed them on a shelf...It was awful...needless to say I wouldn't hand Angus over to them in the dream either.
nothing like a child care guilt dream!!!!
love to all, will be in for a catch up soon
take care all, Allie and co. xxxxxxxxxxxx
