Joy - I had the same thing during the early months of pregnancy - I didn't pop out and look remotely pregnant until I was well into the second trimester - I just looked like I'd eaten too many doughnuts - even when I was 8mths I think I just looked big, rather than having a cute baby belly.
Yes Motherhood is certainly challenging and rewarding and amazing and hard all rolled into one. I feel very blessed to be this fortunate and wish everyone else the same fortune.

hello one and all,
it's the elusive Miss Blizz here!
haven't been in for ages it seems, well everything is going swimmingly here Gus is growing madly (and has got his hair back!)
Paige is covered in unexplained spots at the moment...apparently not chicken pox according to the doc possibly an allergy to something....just monitoring things at the moment.
Business is ready to go I have a family ready for care with 2 girls (a 2 and a 3 year old)
just waiting to see what happens with the spots but anyday now will be starting, have my accreditation.
will be back later Gus is just stirring, hoping to get him settled so DH and I can watch the Dark Knight,
love to all, Allie xxxxxx

gosh, very quiet!
i guess there's not too much going on, or maybe there is too much going on!
AFM - we met with our FS and a patient services mgr from MIVF a few weeks ago to talk through our concerns that we raised in our letter. The meeting went so well - it was nice to hear them admit to some terrible handling of us and our situation (that we weren't going crazy or blowing it all out of perspective!), and already start to put new processes in place so it doesn't happen again, to us or others in similar situation. Now we can confidently move forward and put the last cycle behind us. DH is starting back on the sperm tests this week for a few weeks, depending on those results, if good then we'll go for another cycle, and if bad, then we'll be looking for a final yes or no answer from our donor friend. Our FS has even offered to 'make it work' with the overseas IVF clinic in our friend's city once we've made the call in order to streamline the process.
So, not too much to report. Hope everyone is really well and enjoying down time / pregnancy / motherhood, etc

sounds like a little bit of progress was made Lieve, good to hear!
All is very quiet, I just don't seem to have the time that I used too and more importantly- the energy
Gus is still not well has had a cough since he was one month old, not upsetting him over much but it is worrying the heck out of me.
otherwise we are all good. have been putting in the hard yards to get ship shape for FDC which I have done now I am patiently waiting for some clients.
I already know that I have made the right choice Paige and I are the healthiest we've been in a long time, not going to miss the germs on mass you get from children in LDC
love to all, going to finish my coffee then early to bed I think

Blizz - u must have your arms well and truly full - two littlies and starting a business! - I can't keep up with you! Sorry to hear that Gus has had a cough for so long.
AFM - booked DS into get his first load of immunisations and getting whooping cough as well, due to the outbreak in the state. Things are going as things go with little babies and making the most of every minute!
Take care.

oh tarkine i forgot to add, that gus was fine with all injections to date but if you are worried they say to give a little panadol half hour before if you think it may be an issue, just be ready to pop your boob in when he opens up to cry soon distracts them lol xxxx good luck

| | girls,
I am back - never thought i would say that but the urge never went away - never think it will! Anyway January this year my clinic QFG rang and said that they never took me off the donor embryo waitlist and do i still want to be there and without hesitation i said yes - did not even have to think about it - i have been lurking around the threads so i thought i would jump back in. So who knows whats in the future - maybe another angel will come my way (boy i hope so) whilst my head said stop this is futile my heart just could not stop wanting so i thought give it one more year.
So here i am again - waiting and hoping, waiting and hoping but at least if feel more comfortable with this than given up completely. Hope you all had a great start to 2009 and hope that this year brings much joy to us all.

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted in a while - went through this period of time where I didn't really want to talk about anything beyond the minimal.
I've been pouring a lot of my time and effort into work lately.
The amusing part about that was I was on a bus the other day going to sport, and there was an ad for, of all things, an IVF clinic.
Maybe a gentle hint that there's not long to go???
ETA: Welcome back Lissie!!!!

The syncronicity continues...go to the toilet, see an ad for 'maybe baby'.
Go to pick up a pizza, see an ad for a different fertility clinic...

hi all,
im new here so just wanted to say hi.
my hubby and i have started our first ivf cycle today, we will be using donor sperm (with icsi) due to zero motility and lack of sperm from hubby. we're not quite sure where this will lead as i also have high fsh levels (12) so we wont know for a week or so how im responding to the puregon, im already on double dose. have any of you used donor embryos? im not sure of the laws on that in australia. any advice and info would be appreciated |

Leah - all the best for your IVF cycle. haven't used donor embies, so can't provide any advice - but we did use donor sperm.
Look after yourself during IVF. Take time out for yourself and remember to go with the flow.
