| | Im gonna be someone's angel
Hey, I just am so completley excited, I went onto and ED site and a wonderful amazing very deserving couple msg'd be almost imediatley, and we have been getting to know each other via e-mail, and today we swapped numbers and she is going to speak to her FS tomorrow and he may even call me for a chat, This couple are just so deserving I cant believe I found such a perfect couple.
Its all happening, slowly but surely, Harrison is only 11 weeks we agreed that he would be 6 months or so when Im ready to start the donation process and until then we will do all that needs to be done leading up to then, im so happy this will be an amazing acheivment in my life |

well done on making that decision - it's a huge thing to do for someone and i admire you for making the decision.
just want to ask that you keep in mind that being an ED, you won't necessarily be able to donate immediately, even if you have decided the timing is right for you. there are things in place to ensure that your family is completely finished, and i'm not sure if you have to wait a certain amount of time after your youngest child is born. there are also some pretty heavy duty meds involved - if you are BF, they may not be able to be used. perhaps find out from your recipient which clinic she is dealing with and give them a call to see what their policies are...
good luck
BG

Wow was an amazing gift for someone.
I wish I was young enough to do the same. I am already too old to donate eggs. And Im still on my journey to have children.
But wow my hats off to you for being someones angel.
sincerely
Redlady

Oh wow - I'm so happy for you! Please keep us posted throughout the process. This is something I dearly wanted to do but my current health situation has now ruled it out forever. I'm gonna have to live vicariously thru you!

Hello,
That's so kind of you - I have also decided to do this for a friend of mine, and am about to commence counselling.
As a couple of people have mentioned, there are some heavy duty hormones that you need to inject, and you need to be put on the full pill beforehand, which means you need to stop breastfeeding. I have only just got my period back, (after 8.5 months of breastfeeding) which is also necessary to start the donor process.
I took myself to my Ob for her objective opinion, in relation to my health and suitablity for donating eggs as I am 37 and my baby is now only 10 months old - I would recommend this for you too, as if your body isn't ready yet, then your Ob will give it to you straight.
It's a wonderful thing, and I applaud you for wanting to do this for a stranger, but you need to make sure now is a healthy time for you and your baby too.
Good Luck
Carole
