I've been having a couple of weeks holidays from BB, but popped on to have a quick look at what is happening in BB land whilst expressing today and so glad I did.

On Monday (29th Dec) I started my own body transformation challenge as I am getting married on 28th of Feb and would like to have nicer curves for my special day.

I have wrote out and stuck to a meal plan. I was struggling with keeping up with my water in take so I bought a brita water bottle today and I plan to drink 2 bottles a day! I have walked for 30 mins a day with DD in her pram and on Sunday I cleaned out the spare room (which was a workout in itself) and set up the weights set that were in the shed and I used them on Monday and about to head in there again in about 10 mins. Plan is 3 times a week weights.

My BMI is currently 26 and I would like to reduce this to 22 - in order to acheieve this I need to lose 10 kgs. The medical recommendation BMI range is 19-25, I need to lose 2 kgs to be within this range and so this is my first goal.

I will PM my measurements to you now Lucy

Good luck with your first day tomorrow everyone

Deanne.

hj1981- i've been looking at these posts and thinking man i wish i was the size of some of these ladies... Me i have a hell of a lot of weight to get off...

Are there any ladies out there besides me needing to drop alot of weight??? ideally i need to loose a good 30-40 kg's WOW that was SOOO hard to say (type) I'm not pressuring myself to drop it all within a small time frame... I'm just concentrating on each kilo at a time... slowly but surly i need the weight gone...

Keeping in mind i erased this line about 10 times before i pressed send and then thought to go back and edit it...

GL ladies... I hope..... erase that... I know we'll all reach our goals

Hi girls, just got in!!!!! so glad I found this, hopefully this will help me lose alll this unwanted weight.
I have been toying with the idea but not sure how I was going to acheive getting there, hopefully this will help. Better than trying alone anyway.

Tonight my New Years celebrations will revolve around making small milestones to help me and I think I will take some pics of my "before" weight. I have 20kgs to lose to be at the high end of my healthy range, but at this point will be happy with 15kgs.
I am sick of clothes not fitting me, feeling awful at functions, hate my photo being taken (see the reality of the situation) want to get fit again and feel healthy. Fallen into a junk food diet and put on 3 kgs since my daughters birth after loseing all my pregancy weight. Mind you I still had lots of weight to lose pre-pregnancy.

Thanks and good luck on your journey. Pam.

Je$$.......trust me when I say that if you have your heart set on a fitter happier you, then once you just START, and see the weight ever so slowly diminish, you will realise that the JOURNEY of getting healthier is a really cool one.

I know that makes me sound like some fit healthy freak, but at heart I am not! This time last year I was over 30kg heavier and it all felt SO SO impossible and daunting. But just take each day at a time. You then realise that the journey is a fun one.

It is easier to just do it than worry about not doing it.

I have done a year without salty greasy snacks (my big weakness!) Do I feel deprived? Has it been an unhappy year for not being able to eat fat laden snacks? Nope. It has been my best year yet. I promise.

Time will pass regardless. As I sit here a year later and nearly 35kg lighter, I realise if I hadn't made the choice to lose the lard, then I would be sitting here probably another 15kg heavier, and totally miserable with myself.

So please, it may feel daunting, but it is SO SO worth it, for yourself, and your loved ones.

Je$$- I have over 30kg to loose. My aim is to loose 30 kgs before my 30th birthday in Jan 2010. Like you i have often thought OMG, that number is too big and I am never going to be able to do it. However, this time round i look at it differently- I am excited because the number I see on the scales is biggest I am ever going to be, and the numbers can only go down from here. I am in a really good head space at the moment, I have broken down my loss into small achieveable amounts- that I hope to achieve by significant dates in my life (kids birthdays, wedding anni etc) and I have also picked out rewards for each mini goal I achieve.
I have also surrounded myself with helpful and inspiring people- this group for starters, I have a dietician, personal trainer (who I am yet to start with but will be after new year) and my GP- I realised I couldnt do it alone, so I have gone out and found some help.

In WA (and it might be the same in all states) if you talk to your GP about wanting to loose weight, their is a program they can put you on if you BMI is over a certain number and it entitles you to 5 fee reduced visits to a dietician ( I think my first one cost me $40 out of pocket, and the next 4 cost me a couple of bucks), so maybe it might be helpful having a chat to your GP and seeing how they can help you.

Good Luck- You CAN do this! There are a whole pile of motivated ladies in here in the same position as you to hold your hand and help you along.

Well I'm gonna do 38 kilos. Yep I am.

Actually I'm just gonna get healthy. Bugger the numbers, I want to be the MILF at my son's school!

(oh and I'm sure it's gonna increase my chances of getting laid LOL!)
