Post Pre-Xmas 12 week challenge - all welcome!

It is just under 12 weeks till Xmas and this thread is for anyone who wants to join some of the weight loss buddies in slimming down for then. It's not an official BB one so I have modified the rules and added in below.

The challenge is split into two parts and will run for 12 weeks:
1. Percentage of weight lost
2. Centimetres lost

So we are looking at a challenge to shed unwanted weight, but also to gain some fitness: the best way to lose cms is to exercise!

What do you need to do:
1. Get motivated and have a plan!
2. Get yourselves your bathroom scales and tape measure ready!
3. Start eating healthily and taking more exercise
4. Post your results once a week as a) cms lost this week b) cms lost in total c)% lost this week d) % lost in total. (Or you can pm me if you want and I can tally it for you). It is up to you how often you measure cms (e.g. weekly, fortnightly or monthly)

Results can be posted whenever suits you to fit in with your weigh day. Any results pm'd to me should be posted within a day or two.

Please weigh yourself in KG's, and measure, in cm's, bust, tummy and hips.

There is no set 'diet' for this challenge - just do whatever plan or diet works best for you. Some will prefer a set diet or plan, others will prefer healthy eating and cutting out the junk.

Here is my plan for the challenge (copied from the other thread)

My 12wk challenge plan:
- gym at least once a week
- walk with the pram most days
- run once a week
- swim once a week
- try and do more cycling - am aiming to be ready for a triathlon in January

The food half:
- Drink more water
- Write down absolutely everything I eat!
- resist the temptation to "just have a bit" of something naughty

My goal: to lose 6kg (from 68.6kg to 62.5kg)
Challenge rewards:
Still to get my boots for my 10kg loss So get them!
Loss of 3.6kg - 1 hour massage
Loss of 5kg - New bathers
Loss of 6kg - New outfit
If I get to 60kg then I will buy myself a bottle of French champagne

ME!!! I'm back and I'm going to slim down and fit up!!

My goal: Lose 12kg before my birthday (26 December)
Side goal: Get fit, really, really fit

I got myself (and DH) a personal trainer in Muay Thai and we had our first class yesterday and OH YEAH BABY!!!!! It's so me. I love that he stands there and motivate me and I love the kicking and punching. I'm going to transform myself into Nadine, the Muay Thai Warrior Princess.
I'm stiff and sore in all the right places and I love the burn.

I had a nice sit-down with myself and this is it. I lost about 15kg before my first was born, so I can do this again. I'm committed to eating right and going to class three times a week and walking with the kids the other two days. I'm hyped, I'm stoked, I'm DOING THIS!!!!

I'll weight in every Monday. I did not measure myself yet, so I'll do that tonight and post tomorrow

Staring weight: 79.7kg

Rewards:
5kg lost - Back massage
10kg lost - New dress and new underwear (matching, thank you)
If I reach 65kg, I'm going to ask DH if I can get my knees lipo'ed out. But that would only be next year.

Let the weight loss begin!!!!!

Alright, lets do it! I have been procrastinating for a while now but I would love to lose the extra weight gained from pg (thanks to all that chocolate and biscuits). DD is 3 months old and I'm still BF so nothing too drastic on the food front - just get rid of the junk. My reward - to fit back into my favourite jeans and buy new clothes.

Nadine, can you please send me some of your energy my way

Krys, I will send you info tomorrow.

Can I be added too?

Weighing 78kg today and will do my measurements in a min.

Exercise Goals:-
Wii fit at least 15 mins a day
Walk with baby, child and or dog
Strech regularly

Eating Goals:-
No snacking on chocolate and junk food
Eat only 3 main meals (not 5 or 6)
Drink more water

I would love to get to 62, but 67 will be fine for the time being...

Reward... hmm it will probably be a new wardrobe... as my current one will be too big!

In difficult situations you have three choices: be a carrot, egg or coffee bean. In hot water; the carrot goes soft, they give up; the egg goes hard, they loose their soft side;
but the coffee bean makes coffee, they change the situation they're in.

My goal is for people to stop asking if I'm UTD!!!
Off to measure (scary stuff...)

Bust - 97
Waiste - 83
Hips - 92

Would love to lose 10 kgs. A bit above pre kids weight. I was only 17 then, so not too worried if I don't get beck to that! (Though size 8 would be great, lol)

Anyone else doing pilates? We use the DVD's. I'm soooo sore today! 2nd day, first without babies trying to pull boobs out for feeds all over the place, so first day properly. Am gonna hurt so bad tomorrow!!

ETA - 2.8%!! Yay!! Thanks for that!

Hello, hello, hello....

I would love to join in too. Thanks for starting this thread and being the keeper of the list Krysalyss and GO NADINE what an inspiration! Love your goals Nai.

I don't measure or weigh myself (I suppose I should start). I just go by how comfortable I feel in my jeans, atm, toooooo tight.

My goals are more exercise focused. Somehow when I exercise I feel less hungry and so I find it much easier to eat right? I don't know why (you'd think it would be the opposite). I think it's do with the hormones and all round good stuff that pumps through your veins when you exercise.

I want to run 4km at least every second day.

I also want to have two completely meet free days per week. For health and environmental (carbon footprint) reasons.

I'm hungrier!
I'd usually have coffee, maybe toast, then something at lunch, then dinner. Thats the only times I was hungry, now I'm hungry more often, which should make the 6 small feeds instead of 3 (or 2) big ones.
I'm guessing its my metabolism picking up?? No idea.

Ok, here is my specs:

Bust 98
Waist 86
Hips 116
I'm a size 16 pants ... would LOVE for that to turn into a 12, but it will be hard work!!
and a 14 top - that could just go to 12. Being a pear is not always fun

I have the whole thunderthigh thing going on hehehe. I hope this muay thai stuff wil work those babies into the ground. I'm a bit more stiff than yesterday AND I have my second class this afternoon - eeeek. I am sure I won't be able to skip rope, or kick, or get up the stairs LOL But thats part of the fun right?? RIGHT?? Heck yes.

You know Racheal I feel the same way, so we are both weird. The more I exercise, the better I feel, the more willpower I have to eat the right stuff. Sure I get hungry, but it's easier to say no when I have just sweated 17 gallons in the gym. Before I had kids I was going to the gym 5 times a week and were loving it and I could live on a cup of fruit and yoghurt for dinner - without cheating!!

Talking about sweat ... how are you guys doing in the drinking-da-water department? I currently go through about 1.5lt that I know of. I love drinking from the tap so I would say another 500ml during the night that way. I know what you are thinking, she gets too much sleep that she needs to drink water in the night hours So that is 2 liters.

My eating plan looks something like this:
Breakfast: All Bran cereal/weetbix with fat free milk and a fruit
Snack: Fruit/Fruitjuice
Lunch: Whatever is on the table ... yesterday it was chicken, rice and veggies. Today sausage, mash, peas and beetroot. One meat proteien, one carb and fill up on the veggies.
Snack: Fruit/Yoghurt/Crackermates with fat free cottage cheese (this is just before class)
Dinner: Salad - Tuna, Chicken, Egg .... with two slices of Low GI bread.
Late night snack: One cup of hot fat free milk with a tsp honey - not everynight.

You will have to excuse me, when I get this worked up, I talk ... a lot!!
