Default Favourite "Workout" Tunes for the MP3 player

I already have a fair few songs on my MP3 player which i listen to at the gym but quickly get bored when you listen to them everyday.

What tunes are on your MP3 player at the moment?

Doesn't matter if they're old, i love 80s and 90s music.

I've got two songs by New Kids on the Block on mine

BTW - anyone want to come with me to the NKOTB concert in MELB?

I like a lot of dance type music for working out.

Umm, people like DJ Mangoo, Hed Kandi, lots of remixes of music as they are usually a lot boppier and get your energy up

I have enough songs on my ipod to keep me from having to listen to the same ones over and over, but I love 80s music. I have my favourites that I sometimes seek out but generally I try to make the surprise of what I'll be listening to part of the motivation to exercise.

I so love Britney too. She is what i want to look like (as in figure). Not quite sure if i can though!

The NKOTB concert is on August 4th. Tix are expensive though $125. I'd love to go, if anybody else is going!

Pink is great too. But i'm a bit over her songs. I've listened to them so many times.

Thanks Girls.

I have only just started getting back into the gym and the music needs to have the same tempo as my running (which isn't overly fast btw). Pink is definitely a favourite as well.

I'm lucky to be an instructor of 6 Les Mills programs - and although they have copyrights attached to them, I have found that by typing in Les Mills into a search field of a download program you should find a few upbeat songs that should be suitable!

can't believe i missed this thread!

I have a massive list of songs on my ipod. For working out, I have a few favs but here are the list at the moment...

I like it like that (Guy Sebastian)
Turn me loose (Young Diva's)
Can you feel it (Michal Jackson)
Evacuate the dance floor
I'm every woman
I wanna dance with somebody (Young Diva's)
Rock this party (Bob Sinclair)
Its a long way to the top (AC/DC)
Highway to hell (AC/DC)

Mummy112 - have you tried running to cadence? If you type cadence into the itunes store you will get all the US Defence cadence songs (well, a lot of them anyway). I fnd they are a good beat for a slow run/jog and can be amusing to listen to. Some of them are inspiring in their words depending on what inspires you and what you like.

i listen to paramore when im on the cross trainer but i really need to make a more specific list. once the chorus is over on a lot of the songs i just want to conk out so i need something consistently upbeat. last resort by papa roach is good if you're running in a bad mood

CM - "Rock this party" by Bob Sinclair (the orig mix) has a GREAT beat the whole way through it. I've always used this song to increase my speed and really push myself. It will always be on my play list because it is the perfect song when I'm struggling. The words don't do much for me but the beat is AWESOME!!!!
