i was using shettles method and it said to stop dtd two days before o'ing and i did and we dtd missionary position sorry for tmi i was able to predicte my o day before because it was like clock work every 28 days for five days but after my m/c my af has been crazy so now i am going to use opk to see if it helps

Kel I'm doing the diet (very loosely) taking magnesium and calcium tablets and this month we stopped DTD yesterday which is 3 days before I O. DH is taking cranberry tablets to make his sperm more acidic and has cut coffee out.

Lanena I hope that the OPK packs help, sorry to hear about your loss in June.

*EDIT* We've worked up to 3days before O, from 4 days for about two cycles and this is our second month on 3 days before and if we're not pg this cycle then next month with be two days before O, I wouldn't go any closer then two days tho.

Hi i just found this thread i have been looking for it for months
We were trying for a girl as we have two boys already. I was told by a girlfriend that you DTD up to 12 days after you last period for a 28 day cycle. We did it last on day 11. We did missionary style andtold DH to nearly pull out lol. I did not think that i would fall pregnant as it was our first month and we DTD 4 days before ovulation. I took a test on the day flo was due and i was pregnant!
Now i am not sure what to think. I don't want to get my hopes up so i am just thinking its another boy. Althought this pregnancy is very different feel sick all day everyday and very tired.
Has this method worked for anyone else?
Am i being silly for just thinking its another boy?
I am happy with either sex as long as the baby is happy.

Nikki your more then welcome to post in here, I know that your most probably worried about another boy as I know when I get pg this time I will be the same. Are you going to find out the sex at your 18-20 week scan? I know that I will so it wil give me a chance to come to terms with it, if it's a boy. Also you can join the gender disappointment group if you feel like it.

Thanks yes i have to find out the sex of the baby. I don't think that i will be dissapointed if its a boy i just don't want to keep thinking that it could be a girl cause then i might be dissapointed. If i keep thinking that its a boy then i wont be dissapointed if its a boy as that is what i thought. Hope that makes sense.

Nikki.. congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Ill be praying its a girl for you! I think that if its a boy then it was meant to be a boy all along. Because youve done what has been said and written would get a girl. I too would love a little girl. So i think if i get a boy next time round, part of me will be a little disappointed but most of me will be happy to have another beautiful baby. You are absolutely welcome to post in here. Im happy to hear that you fell pregnant and would love to hear if it all worked out for you. Your method worked for my sister, after 2 boys she got a girl.

Amanda.. is your cycle 28 days every time? Im only going on a guess with mine. Being last month was 24 days. I havent had any ew CM yet and OPK is still saying negative, so im thinking tonight might be our last shot before stopping and then just hoping O happens after another 2 days on or around day 14 or 15 (im on day 12 now).

Kel my last cycle was 28 days and I O'd on CD16, cycle before that I had a 26 day cycle with O on CD18, cycle before that one was 28 days and I O'd on CD18 and the one before that was 27days with O on CD18. But with the three that I O'd on CD 18 I was b/fing more and now that I'm weaning I've gone down to the CD16 as O, so hopefully it will stay that way. HTH.

Amanda, good luck this month!! I started taking b6 to lengthen my LP,it was 11 days last month and i would like it a little longer it's usually 13 days. since stoped breastfedding my cycles have been a little bit haywire.

Amanda.. ahh well thats good your cycle is pretty regular. Its just hard pin pointing the day O will come hey when you need to have a cut off! Have you stopped for this month now?

We've stopped for this month now too. Im on Cd13 today and we dtd last night. So im hoping i O tomorrow or the next day (Cd14 or 15).

Shoegal.. what method are you using?

Ive had the flu a bit the past week. Im hoping that doesnt get in the way of anything!

Kel yep we last DTD on Monday which was CD13, I'm now on CD15 and hoping to O tomorrow, tho I had some pains last night, ahh well will have to wait and see.

Shoegal yep I'm finding I'm drier up until about 2-3 days before I O.

I mucked around with FF and it says I O'd yesterday so we last DTD on Monday so two days between so hopefully I caught the eggie.

Kel yay on getting EWCM and having two days in between as well, fingers crossed you caught the eggie as well.

My Cycle is all over the place so it ranges between 24 to 34 days. I am not sure how to chart it either...

I have been reading a bit about douching with Baking Soda? Is this safe ?

Is Baking Soda the same as Bicarb Soda? Is there any other tips i can get from your fin ladies to help me closer to the boy?

Sorry for all the questions. I am just a bit confused and hoping to get some advice..

Im going to hold off until Thursday when AF is due. If she aint here by Friday, i may test then. Not getting any hopes up though.

Miklaoz.. Welcome! Best of luck with trying for your boy! I dont know myself how safe douching is. But yes Baking Soda and Bicarb Soda are the same thing. I think some tips for a boy are the man should wear boxer shorts and loose trousers. Find out when ovulation is. Dont DTD for 1 week prior. DTD when you ovulate just once.. with the woman orgasiming before the man if possible. Also the man can have cold showers (i bet he'll like that!) or hold a cold washer to his genitals.

Kel I tested yesterday and it was a , my temp was 36.2 and then this morning my temp shot up to 36.8. So if AF hasn't turned up tomorrow when it should then I will test again.

How is everyone else going?
