Smile My little woohoo

I have always either fed or rocked my DS to sleep, which I'm fine with. However, I've always thought it would be nice for him to be able to get himself off to sleep too, but I didn't want to go down the controlled crying road.

Then, today (just now) DS got himself off to sleep - all on his own! I was rocking him gently while I sat at the computer, and I noticed he seemed very quiet, so I thought I'd try and put him in his cot. He was still awake - but I put him down and he just turned his head and closed his eyes. So I left him, and haven't heard a peep from him yet, he's fast asleep. No crying, no tears!

I know it's only a little thing - but it's a big deal for me, and I just had to share

That's fantastic Sterla. It must be great to know that he can self-settle. Well done.
