| | Tax Time FTB top up?
Someone said they weren't doing the $900 per child this year, but I haven't heard anything about it.
I can't find it on the site, does anyone know if we still get it this year??
If we do, what if your child isn't a year old, do we get a full payment still, part payment or miss out?
TIA |

My little sister heard this too. According to both the Centrelink and FAO sites, its still happening. Quote:
For the 2008–09 financial year
Family Tax Benefit Part A supplement
up to $686.20 per child
Family Tax Benefit Part B supplement
up to $335.80 per family
| And yeah, under 1yo is a partial payment.

No it has always been around the $600, you might be confused about payments. This is a supplement paid after reconciliation and if you have been overpaid they take it from there.

arent there 2 top up payments? the $600 per child and $300 per family, so maybe thats where your getting the $900 amount from.

I am so confused about this as I am a new mum. Can someone explain to me?
I currently get FTB fornightly for DD and the baby bonus fortnightly too?
Do I get more at tax time? She is not even 4 months yet so maybe not.

there is a whole thread in the centrelink forums titled $600 per child payment or something like that - there are huge explanations in there
as has been mentioned, there is a payment of about $600 per child per year (ftba supplement - if parents qualify for ftba and haven't been overpaid), $300 per family if you qualify for ftbb (and haven't been over paid).
the amounts have increased, but the reference is made to $600 per child as that is what it started at
ETA - ali - you'll get a pro rata amount for the number of days you had dd in the fin year. for instance - the full 365 days is 686 for ftba - for us, we had E for 33 days in the fin year, so we will get 33/365 of that (daily amount is 1.88 or there abouts, we'll get 33x1.88 so about $59.40) for you, you've had bubba about a third of the year so you might get about $200-ish. go scope out that thread i mentioned, it's really in depth (don't have time to repeat - bubba wants me!)
