Default Is your period meant to be more painful after a CS?

Hi guys,

I had my second CS 7 months ago and so far my two periods have been worse than I have ever experienced. My tummy hurts to touch, going to the toilet nearly leaves me in tears and I cant stay in one position for too long. Before this recent CS I have never experienced anything like this. I was just wondering if it were normal or if I should get it checked out. What do you think?

I would probably get it checked out hun, sounds terrible. I have had 3 c/s's, I do get pain where the scar is, but more of a tender pain. My AF is heavy though, so I am waiting to see if that changes for me.
Please though get checked out, its better to be safe than sorry IYKWIM. All the best. hugs

Thanks! yeah I needed to be told to get it checked out lol. Sometimes we women leave things because 'it only a little bit of pain' that we can deal with.

This is a little bit off topic but having 3 CS you might be able to help me. I was thinking about getting pregnant again. Is it harder the 3rd time? Someone told me that you shouldn't have 3 but because of complications I can not have a VB.

I would definitely get it checked out, I have had two c/s and I don't have any unusual pain with AF, or at least nothing that wasn't there before.

As for the recommendation against a third c/s, generally most Drs will tell you that you can have three & then your scar will be checked before they say it's ok for a fourth.

I had two c/s and my period were definatly more painfull the first two or three times after the c/s. Even painfull enough for me to take some painkillers. BUT it got better and now it was just like before .. almost no pain.

But what you describe sounds terrible, I would just ring my ob/gp and ask. No harm in that now is there??

OH sounds like you might have an infection if your suffering that bad of a pain. Get it seen to asap.

Ive had 4 c/s and the only pain I had was pulling after my second and it was gone after my third and returned with my fourth.

ETA - I had a reversal between my 2nd and 3rd children...so its sort of classed in a round about way as a half c/s if that makes nay sense . I was asked if I was sure I wanted to have my tubes removed after number 4 as they said I could have gone on to have 2 more . Depends as Sarah said on your scaring and how well your body bounces back I suppose

GL with your DR's appt today, I hope all turns out ok. TBH when after I had my 2nd c/s it was far less painful then my first. My first c/s was very painful and would cry in pain for weeks and weeks, I was told by physio that when they moved me from one bed to the other they must have pulled a ligament, I still get pain that races down my lower back all the way down my leg, but mainly feel it now on cold days. After the 2nd recovery was quicker, pain not as bad. While having my 3rd c/s the Surgeon looked over at me and said we had trouble stopping the bleeding and had to put a leak bag, due to all the scarring. He also advised that I not have anymore kids. (Not sure if I like that idea)
12mths on I still get the odd pain from the scarring, and still some numbness too. I remember though having black belly buttons after my 1st and 2nd c/s's but the last one didnt.
GL again for today. hugs
